I am a Windows user but recently had to take up support for Apple MacBook's. I use three monitors to do my work\support and my new MacBook would not let me use the three monitors, just the MacBook screen and one external monitor. I tried just about everything and nothing worked. Someone told me about this Wavlink docking station, so I tried it and WOW, I was able to use all three monitors with little effort to get the dock to work with my MacBook and it also works with my Window's laptop, so now all I do is unplug one machine and plug in the other and I just get to work!! What a great dock, highly recommend!!

This hub is great for adding two displays to a laptop. It comes with more than enough inputs.

Having purchase a 10 port Wavlink's USB 3.0 port hub in the past, which I have been completely satisfied with, I began to research if they made a USB-C docking station for my father's new Dell XPS 15 laptop. I compared a few different brands, but ultimately decided that for the price, it's hard to beat this Wavlink USB-C docking station/hub. It has an incredible number of ports: 12 individual ports. More than most people will ever utilize! Here is a brief summary that I wrote up of all ports: 1. USB-C Power Delivery Port - Can ONLY be used for Power (not for USB-C input). Offers power delivery up to 100W with an external charger. 2. DisplayPort v1.2a (4K @ 30hz) 3. HDMI v1.4b (4K @ 30hz) 4. VGA port (2K @ 60hz) 5. USB 2.0 6. USB 2.0 7. USB 3.0 8. USB 3.0 9. RJ45 Ethernet Port (Gigabit Connection) 10. SD card reader 11. Micro SD/TransFlash (TF) card reader 12. 3.5mm Audio Jack (for Headphones/Speakers) What has been impressive is that this unit stays very cool, which is very important for someone like me, who uses this docking station near other devices that dissipate heat. I have used this to run two monitors which is excellent.

Able to boot from my old SSD, and clone it to a new one (using DiskGenius), when my new motherboard didn't support the old M.2 SSD's size. System was even pretty functional booted from the adapter.

doesnt have a giant power brick, quality build, plug and play
