Pros: I thought I knew what amazing gameplay sound was until I got these. Everything comes alive.
Surround sound for movies and shows is amazing and like most headsets, this one doesn't cause the audio static others do. 39.99 on newegg shell shocker.
Cons: Bass could be better but no eggs taken off since I'm still amazed at how well they perform for the price.
Pros: Sexy headset. Lightweight, very comfortable, Sound/bass is very good. No problems with using vent with this headset. The ear cups blocks out background noise. I can barely hear the six stock fans in my NZXT computer case running.
Cons: The mic is some kind of a rubbery material, that bends easily. Feels cheap. Also, I got this headset so I can unlock the silencer and VoiceFX feature on my X-fi Titanium sound card. But sadly, it does not work. I had to update my sound drivers, once I did that, nothing would work, the mic or sound. No idea why. Kinda annoying since I only bought this headset for two features that do not work.
Overall Review: If you're looking for a good overall headset that is very comfortable, Buy these. You may have better luck with silencer and VoiceFX then I did. This headset replaces a GameCom 367 headset that was only about six months old. It will be my backup, in case this one fails.
Pros: Got them on sale for forty bones. Worth about fifty to seventy-five to be honest. Solid, and thumping bass and overall range. Comfortable, and a detachable microphone.
Cons: Would like to see a USB variety of these same headphones.
Pros: They have nice sound quality and feel good on your head but that is about it. Oh yeah and they toss a nice carrying bag in that just about nobody will ever use.
Cons: Mics sound canceling properties were so good that you had to either yell or have it right on the tip of your lips for it to record well replaced it after a few months because even at full output people couldn't hear me well on ventrillo. Secondly the pieces holding the earphones on are very very thin plastic which breaks with normal use. A few months after i bought them cracks started forming on the plastic piece holding the earphone on and just today i finally had one snap all the way off when i picked it up :X.
Overall Review: If your going to shell out this kind of money for a headset consider something with a little better construction. This is probably the last time I will be going with a creative headset this is the second set that's gone out on me in the last year and a half and they aren't exactly cheap.
Pros: very soft headband and ear pads, great sound quality from both mic and headphones, cord is nice length, extra features if you have a creative fatal1ty sound card
Cons: pleather ear pads tend to stick to the side of your face
Cons: after having this for awhile (approx 4 months) the place where the wires separate (small inline splitter) for the mic and the headset - the headset wire separated from the splitter and the cable is so cheap it appears it is going to very difficult to make any kind of repair. I didn't even make an attempt to have it warrantied because after reading the other reviews I'm assuming creative won't replace this as they are going to blame this on abuse.
Cons: Mediocre sound quality unless you plug them directly in the soundcard, in which case the sound is decent but not great (exagerated bass that muffles everything, sound quality lower than equally priced Sennheiser).
Having to plug directly in the soundcard makes this item a pain to use (unplug speakers and plug headphones everytime you want to use them).
Badly thought out design.
Sending back this steaming pile would cost me $30+, 20 for the shipping and 10 restoking fee.
Overall Review: The kind of product that makes you wonder what were they thinking when they designed it.
Especially painful since this is (allegedly) a high end product from Creative, bearing "fatal1ty" and "professional" in the name.
I was a Creative fanboy, not anymore after seeing this product.
Ideal for people who like excessive bass boost and muffled sounds.
