The Bose SoundLink Plus is a portable Bluetooth speaker with bold, resonant audio, booming bass, IP67 water- and dustproofing, and up to 20 hours of battery life. It suits people who want durable, easy-to-carry sound for outdoor gatherings and everyday listening.
Recommended For
- People taking music to beaches, campsites, parks, or poolside gatherings who want a rugged Bluetooth speaker that can handle dust and water and is easy to carry between spots.
- Backpackers and day-trippers who want more substantial sound than a pocket-size speaker, but still need a portable speaker for a day out or a group hang.
- People hosting casual gatherings on a patio, in a yard, or at a tailgate who want punchy, bass-forward music from one portable speaker rather than a fixed audio setup.
- Listeners who want a portable speaker for podcasts, spoken audio, or everyday music while moving around; reviewers note that voices remain clear, and the carrying loop supports hands-free transport.
- Bose speaker owners who want to pair compatible Bose speakers for shared playback or stereo listening, rather than rely on the SoundLink Plus by itself for stereo sound.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- At a backyard cookout or small tailgate, set the speaker near the group to play music without needing an outlet; reviewers describe its sound as full and bass-forward for a portable speaker.
- At a pool, beach, or waterside outing, play music within Bluetooth range and worry less about dust or accidental splashes; its water-resistant design and ability to float can also help if it falls into the water.
- On a camping trip or day outdoors, carry it between the car, campsite, and gathering spot for shared listening without a power outlet; reviewers found it portable enough to bring along, though its weight is noticeable in a bag.
- While working in a garage or spending time in the kitchen, use it for Bluetooth music that can move with you; the Bose app lets you adjust bass, mids, and treble to suit the room or your listening preference.
- For a larger get-together, pair two compatible Bose speakers in Party Mode to play the same music from both, or use Stereo Mode with two SoundLink Plus speakers for left- and right-channel listening.
