Good case with minor issues. Would like to give is 4.5 eggs. 12/29/2019 5:21:33 PM

Pros: The case is well built and has really good airflow capability. One really nice feature is the motherboard is attached to a tray that can easily be removed. This allows me to bolt the motherboard to the "case" outside of the case. It will also make it easier to remove dust from the motherboard.

Cable routing is a bit tricky because the PSU and storage drives are on the "first floor" while the motherboard, etc, are on the "second floor." Cables can be routed around the sides of the MB or through the top, between the drive bays. (Between the drive bays, IMHO, only makes sense for the SATA cables.

If using fans (no radiator) for cooling, and have fans on the front (which are included but you can replace them) and a fan on the back, you have a push & a pull fan going past the processor. The other front fan blows at the daughter cards including the GPU card (if you have one). Good air flow design.

Cons: The front X-Dock bays are advertised as accepting 2.5" or 3.5" drives. And they do but the 3.5" drive quickly "snaps" into place to hold the 3.5" HDD. Very easy to remove an HDD and replace it was another.

However, the 2.5" SSD drive must be bolted to the tray. This wouldn't be a problem but I have more SSD's than trays. (The idea was to be able to QUICKLY insert whatever SSD I needed and QUICKLY replace it with a different SSD. While advertised as hot swappable, I only intend to change when power off.)

Also, I investigated purchasing additional X-Dock trays from Cooler Master but their U.S. web store is closed but will "be back soon." I'm not thrilled with the idea of using the European store and paying a bunch for shipping.

If you want the same functionality I wanted, you might want to think twice about ordering this case unless you already live in Europe or Taiwan unless the a store in your part of the world has opened before you make the purchase. (Also would be 5 eggs if Newegg sold the trays.)

Update: I since ordered more cases for work. One case for work had a broken 3.5" disk docking bay. The problem was that the pins weren't angled correctly. This should have been caught in Q/A. However, I was able to adjust the angle of the pins (by sliding in an SSD drive without the caddy and then straightening the SSD so it was parallel to the bottom of the case; this fixed it.)

Overall Review: Just one annoyance. Overall, I recommend this product.

Great little case!! 12/18/2019 10:17:14 AM

Pros: This is an awesome little case, especially for the money.
- The quality is excellent. There is virtually no flex in the frame at all.
- The air flow in this case is very good. I mounted a 200mm fan on the top as an exhaust and two 80mm fans in the bottom as an intake. I HIGHLY recommend do it that way.
- I was able to fit my Corsair H115i with a 280mm radiator on the front just fine. There was even enough room between the GPU and the radiator to run a push/pull fan configuration too (I'm running a full length 2080Ti).
- Coming from a full size tower I love how small this case is. It fits all my components perfectly and takes up alot less space.
- Possibly my favorite thing about this case is that the motherboard is horizontally mounted. This eliminates GPU sag completely and is the biggest reason I went for this case.
- I also really appreciate the built-in handles. Made maneuvering the case very easy.

Cons: - Cable management is a little tricky. You really have to plan your build in a certain order. I actually removed the 5.25" drive cage as well as the 2.5" drive cage as I didn't have any need for them. This made the bottom of the case extremely open and made cable management WAY easier.
- This case may not be for everyone in the looks department. I'll admit, I don't find it particularly beautiful but the simple, no frills, industrial look suits me just fine.
- No dust filters (except for the PSU). There are aftermarket companies that make them so I'm going to have to go that route.

Overall Review: This is by far the best case I've built in so far. The quality is great and the thought that went into it's design is amazing. The cons I listed are very minor and and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this case to anyone!

BIG freaking case! 12/10/2019 5:42:06 PM

Pros: Well made, lots of room, excellent airflow. Almost every panel attaches with thumbscrews. I built a really nice system and it looks good. That being said, if you want a showoff case, this isn't it. No windows, very little of the system is visible unless you open it.

Cons: Hot swap bay uses an oddball power connector that I can't indentify. Cooler Master tech support says it's an SATA connector, which it isn't. I just pulled the PCB out and I'll use cable to connect anything I put in there. The holes in the top of the case for the 200mm fan only work with Cooler Master fans as far as I can tell. Only other con - this mother is BIG. I sat it in front of me on top of the desk (because i do not put PC's down low - too much dust and cat hair) and sat my monitor on top of it.

Overall Review: A very nice case with lots of airflow and room. I would definitely recommend it for those that want a good case with lots of room and good airflow and aren't trying to show off a bunch of RGB, stuff. 4 eggs because the hot swap bay is poorly designed and it only comes with one drive tray for the internal bay.

First Class Case! 12/10/2019 10:22:14 AM

Pros: This is a very substantial case with excellent fit. It is easy to deal with and certainly has room for anything imaginable.

Cons: I would quibble about the documentation. It might be better displayed but is passable. It was also a bit down level showing that it included a motherboard speaker when that had been eliminated. For the price, the one dollar part should be included. But,again, this is trivial.

Overall Review: I'll definitely buy this case for my next build.

Perhaps a couple more USB ports on the front panel would be nice to have.

Great case 12/5/2019 9:06:16 AM

Pros: Airflow

Cons: Its ugly

Overall Review: I'd buy it again if it weren't so ugly.... however I'm not a fan of the power and reset buttons... they're the same shape and they arent lit so you cant tell them apart unless you look very closely at them to see the difference

Unusual and very cool case 12/1/2019 3:22:22 PM

Pros: The motherboard tray makes it really easy to install RAM, SSD's, cooler bracket then drop it easily into the case
Lots of positions for fans but even naturally ventilated it stays cool inside
Carry handles are very nice
Easy to remove sides and top for testing

Cons: The space beneath the motherboard tray (for PSU, 5" external, 3.5" external and internal) is very tight. Specifically, make sure you install all the cables you'll ever need in a modular PSU at the outset, because it's a complete strip down to add more after the fact.

I wish it had all the fans pre-installed. I used one of the installed fans as the rear system fan (replaced the installed fans with the CPU cooler fans), but had to buy 2 x 80mm fans for the internal drives and a large fan for the top.

EDIT June '19:
- eSATA bays stopped working a couple of months back. I think they took one 10TB HD with them...
- I decided to install additional fans to push-pull the Hi115 Pro cooler. I had to use very low profile fans internally and hack some of the decorative plastic off my 280mm long graphics card - upgrading to an RTX 2080 would be a major problem.

Overall Review: On the whole, I love this case. Like other Cooler Master cases I've had before, the quality is excellent and the design is full of neat clever little features.

Not a con - but the case is black-on-black, every component I installed was black-on-black. Looks cool when complete, but my middle aged eyes struggled to see stuff whilst assembling.

EDIT November '19:
- There is no way to isolate radiator air flow from the rest of the case. In my initial build I opted to use the radiator fans (all four of them with my mods) to exhaust from the case and a lot of other fans (including at the sides and lid) to blow air into the case to minimize any pre-heat of the radiator cooling air. This worked pretty well.
- After upgrading to an RTX2080TI there is A LOT of heat dumped in the case (TDP is 250W and a standard OC is 280W). The pre-heat in radiator intake air was now significant.
- The lack of airflow isolation means there is no perfect solution: either pre-heat the AIO intake air, or pre-heat the VGA input air
- In the end, I used it without the sides or lid and TBH it sits under my glass-top desk looking pretty cool. (I guess that's the test-bench promised in the description).

Standard Cooler Master Quality 11/21/2019 3:07:22 PM

Pros: Build quality
Cooling design

Cons: Top of the case looks a little goofy
Wish it came with an extra ssd track but this was released when most people were probably using the tracks for notebook drives.

Overall Review: This case screams classic cooler master. Good build quality, decent features, good cooling deign and the plastic cladding is not over done. I have been using a CM690 since 2008 and I think this case might be better. The only other case I would have considered is the N400. Everything else on the market is setup to throw a rave inside of the case, limits cooling and has little in the way of drive support.
