BIOSTAR AMD A55MD2 Ver. 7.0 (Hudson D2) Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: I have bought two of these motherboards, and both match my expectations, given my expectations are naturally low this may or may not mean much, however Biostar has yet to disappoint me, and I have purchased 5+ motherboards, all being from Biostar. The computers I have made from these motherboards have been different Socket types, but still yet to disappoint, hope I don't jinx myself.

Cons: Can't think of any as of yet.

Overall Review: Nice motherboard for a nice price, I'm satisfied.

Pros: This is my first time buying a Biostar board and im very happy and it works great!! If i need any mother boards in the future i will definitely look for Biostar first.

Cons: Only has 2 header pins for the front USB but i knew that going in so im not giving it any less eggs because of that. Also the power/reset/HDD light header pins were a bit to far for the towers plug block but i just "extended" the wires and they worked fine.... not a huge deal for me so its not losing any eggs over that either.

Overall Review: Nope =D

Pros: Easy to install, looks nice, runs great. very smooth. good price

Overall Review: we use this for gaming purposes. never overheats, no problems. runs smooth

Overall Review: I had written a review where I only gave this MB only 1 egg because it would not post. Found out later that the new memory I had installed was no good. That's the first time I have ever had brand new memory fail. The MB performs as expected. My apologies to Biostar.

Pros: Cheap motherboard, not saying it's of low quality though. If your building a budget gaming pc definitely keep this in your mind.

Cons: None for me white writing on the motherboard is hard to see but i was able to hook everything up write

Overall Review: I might be the only person with this problem but my 8gb ddr3 memory should be running at 1600 mhz not 1333 mhz but it runs at 1333 mhz. not sure if it's my motherboard or RAM causing the problem but it doesn't effect my gaming.

Pros: Bought 2 0f these Because they were so inexpensive at the time (15$ off on each one). Added a 55$ A-4 Apu Used a 4$ DVI to HDMI adapter to use a HDMI cable for video & sound. Made a great HTPC media box to run my 47 in. tv at 1080

Cons: None what so ever, 80$ for this good a MB & APU is fantastic

Overall Review: I will use the other MB in a few days to build a second HTPC box for my other TV. I found Biostar MBs trouble free & easy to build. 6 of my last 7 builds I have used Biostar.

Pros: -Very Affordable -PCIe x16 -Works as described -Decent chipset -Good included accessories

Cons: -Only 2 Fan power inputs on Mobo -Only SATA 3 GB/s (THIS IS A MAKE OR BREAK FEATURE: Do not get this with an SSD as it will bottleneck your bandwidth) -Potentially dead onboard video (worked on first one I ordered, not on second) -Only 2 RAM slots -Not overly pretty

Overall Review: I have bought two of these now for two budget machines I've built for friends. The first one had no problems but I put an SSD in that machine which is bottlenecked by the 300 MB/s bandwidth of the SATA II. Please be aware of this before buying as this will prevent maximum performance from SSDs (though with SATA II the SSD will maximize the SATA connection speed and standard users won't notice it's any slower than an SSD on SATA III). With the second one I ordered, the onboard video appeared to be dead. I had switched components from a different system to this, cleared the CMOS and BIOS after hardware installation, ensured all other components were functioning properly, and was unable to get a video out from onboard video. Was about to ship this back for RMA when I noticed I got video with a dedicated graphics card. Since this PC would not be using onboard video I decided not to ship it back. However, this is definitely a buyer beware situation.

Pros: Posted the first time, no problems. Biostar has always been good to me.

Cons: None so far. Can't be beat at this price.

Overall Review: A4 Richland APU, Gskill RAM, posted 1st time no problems.
