Pros: I installed this in my daughters new HP laptop that I bought her for Christmas and it booted right up with the correct speeds and is running rock solid.
She had one 16 GB stick So I took it out and installed both of these.
Apps are opening way faster and boot time has increased slightly.
I ran MemTest86 v5 without any errors showing.
Cons: No cons as of this time. If I run into any errors in the near future I will report back but I don't think that will be a problem.
Overall Review: Stable ram and good speeds.
I would recommend this to my friends.
Pros: Plugged this RAM into my laptop and it worked right away at advertised specs. It's also dual rank memory, which matters a great deal on AMD Ryzen based systems.
Overall Review: Definitely recommended to anyone like me who purchased the ASUS ROG Strix Advantage Edition laptop.
Cons: - A bit expensive
Overall Review: Used this in an ASRock Deskmini paired with a 3200G. No errors in memtest86. Works great so far, powering a small Linux workstation.
Pros: it's pretty
Cons: Manufacturer needs to make note of stock JDEC timings and speeds as AMD laptops are unable to use XMP profiles at this time
Overall Review: Recommended for intel laptops, not AMD
Pros: I put this kit in a Asrock Deskmini A300. The Ryzen 5 3400G I paired it with is only supposed to work with 2933mhz memory, but the BIOS in the Deskmini A300 allows you to use memory with a range of higher speeds. I got this to work at 3200mhz but not with the XMP profile timings. I had to test it out with Memtest86 to find stable timings.
Cons: The timings in the XMP profile weren't stable in my Deskmini A300. Memtest said the JEDEC timings were 19-19-19-43 and those weren't stable either. I ended up with 20-19-19-45 timings that were stable with 4 passes of Memtest86 with 0 errors.
Overall Review: It's understandable that the XMP profile wouldn't work in my system when it's intended for 2933mhz memory. I'm using overclocked memory so to keep it stable i would have to set looser timings. I'm happy with it and it seems to be working good.
Pros: -It is RAM
-It has speed and timings as described
-If you have a 260 Pin DDR4 slot that takes non-ECC memory, it will in fact slide right in.
Cons: -That edgy "X" spelling thing is very 2014.
Overall Review: It puts the RAM in the slot, or else it gets the hose again.
Overall Review: Worked out really well for my Acer Predator Helios 300 in terms of compatibility. Couldn't be more satisfied with the results. It was totally worth the price paid for two modules, since I have dual-channel memory slots.
Pros: - It works when you install it into a laptop
Cons: - Can only work on High grade performance laptops
- Rated for 1.35V where as most laptops output 1.2V
- Check your laptop specs before buying this product
Overall Review: So I have bought laptop RAM from Newegg multiple times with no issues, and everything worked as intended.
So I bought this thinking, for my Intel NUC 11 hoping it would be a simple plug and play solution. I checked my RAM speed and it was not outputting the rated "3200 MHz". After some digging I found that you can only get the rated speed if your laptop memory support a rated voltage of 1.35V, which is reserved for performance gaming laptops (Memory Overclocking). Make sure you check your laptop specs before you buy this premium laptop RAM.
