Pros: Low power consumption - runs on the PCI-e without using a PSU slot Faster clock speed than some of the 1050s I've used Games look BEAUTIFUL even in 1080p, no stutters or lag Silent and runs very cool even during OC Easy setup Looks nicer than it does in the pictures Factory OC makes this card shine over other GT1030s GDDR5 RAM is incredibly fast
Cons: No onboard lighting (I might just be asking for too many bells and whistles but I miss that Asus ROG eye glow) Only 2 GB RAM No VGA port or adapter (but if you're still using those you might wanna upgrade anyway)
Overall Review: Running an ASUS Rampage II GENE build, Intel Core i7-950 @ 3.0 GHz liquid cooled with 16 GB RAM. Chose this card over a 750TI because of power consumption (I live in the city so our bills get outrageous). I know my board could use a nicer GPU but for the price point, this thing is absolutely stunning. Minimal power consumption and it runs so quietly and smooth that I didn't want or need to mess with the stock assembly. Every game I've thrown at it has run beautifully at 45-60 FPS with no problems whatsoever, and this card can outperform a few of my friends' 1050s with the factory OC clock speed alone (it smokes all the low-pro 1050s with ease). Very impressed with the performance and even more impressed with its ease of use. I do wish it was a little bit skinnier, though, because it blocks off my PCI-e x1 slot which I was hoping to use for an SSD or something. One other note of mention: the factory GPU OC disc you get with this card isn't that great because its GUI is not the greatest and can linger in the background during gaming sessions and cause an unintentional bottleneck. The card OCs perfectly fine during rough game sessions with other GPU OC software. There's a few to choose from so if you're a beginning builder, this is a fantastic little card to learn on (I certainly learned a lot, this was my first build).
