Summary: * Ordered 4x8GB of RAM but received only 2x8GB. * Confirmed with NewEgg support that no additional shipments were pending. * NewEgg support initiated contact with seller requesting that missing items be shipped immediately. * Seller admitted partial shipment explaining that ad was inaccurate at time of sale and has since been corrected. * Seller refused to ship remainder of order but offered a full refund. * Based on a similar negative review posted after my purchase ("RAM SCAM", Anonymous, Ordered on 6/18/2021), I believe seller (KeyComponents) was deliberately fraudulent here. * NewEgg support facilitated a refund and stated that one of their teams would investigate further. Advice for NewEgg: * Although you handled the refund efficiently, the outcome could have been more fair. * Please note that another similar negative review has been posted: "Merchant should be ban from Newegg marketplace", Claude P., Ordered on 6/25/2021 That's 3 instances of the same fraudulent activity within a 1 week order period. Seriously, is this permitted by your terms of service? Advice for Seller: * Materially false advertising is forbidden by Canadian law. Double check your ads before posting them. * Contact the customer to reconcile any issues before shipping. Never knowingly ship an incomplete order.

I placed an order for 4 things. Everything came in promptly except for this memory. Turns out it ships from China! Not only did it take almost a month to get, it arrived in the most worst packaging ever. A little paper envelope. I cannot believe it wasn't broken.

shipping delay without any follow up, horrible seller and Newegg, Newegg is the middleman totally need to take the responsibility, the product is not sale from Newegg, there is no point to shop by Newegg, if the products is ship from China, no more shop from Newegg.

The next day after ordering, item immediately had a label created and sat for over a week with no updates... only showing "shipped." Eight days later, another new label was scanned with the same "shipped" message. A few hours after that, a "pickup" scan was finally entered. One week later, for two back to back days, tracking information said "tomorrow end of day" for delivery... nothing arrived. (I missed two half-days of work waiting) Then tracking info added another week and change. (sigh) After 25 days, my package finally arrived with half the order missing. I ordered two sticks of ram and they sent only one. (talk about a proverbial kick to the stones) I'm wasn't about to wait another month for a replacement. Opened the "return item" menu and immediately saw "You have 6 days to return this item." (chuckled to myself) The first couple of tries failed to generate a return order. I'm guessing it would take 6 days to update the order to 'delivered' and allowing me to make a return. (I see your angle now!) Finally managed to get a return going even though status still shows "In Transit" (Hallelujah) In all seriousness, save yourself a headache and spend a few extra bucks buying something from somewhere on this continent. "Caveat emptor Greg... caveat emptor" To NewEgg: Please do yourself and your customers a favor and drop these clowns. I mean, COVID-19 arrived quicker and with better tracking information... just saying. ... and please allow "no egg" as an option in the ratings. I hated having to give one egg. P.S. I don't care if anyone has been offended or what John Cena has done recently... I WILL NOT be issuing a video apology in Mandarin for my (honest) review

RAM SCAM

I ordered the Crucial 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 2666MHz DRAM (Notebook Memory) CL19 1.2V DR SODIMM (260-pin) CT2K16G4SFD8266. What arrived was NOT AS ADVERTISED. The seller instead sent out Crucial 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 DRAM (Desktop Memory) CT1024648D160B. So if you're counting x not 32GB but 16GB x not DDR4 but DDR3 x not SODIMM Laptop Memory but DIMM Desktop Memory A total lie! And from China. I figure that's how this scam is run -- use the long delay in shipment to run out the clock and frustrate the oversea's buyer. We shall see how NewEgg handles this. I'm not hopeful. But it was on Credit Card so ...

Purchased 2x2G RAM for an ancient (2007) Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop. Took a few minutes to replace the ram sticks and after a slightly longer reboot, memory was recognized. Already did a SSD upgrade years ago but YouTube would be choppy running latest windows 10, now smooth.
