Elegantly designed, pure Android.

Design
An exquisite frame for your life

Crafted from aeronautical-grade anodized aluminum, the new Nexus sports the curves and contours of a machine built for turning heads. Diamond chamfers encircle its edges, and the new visor on the back of the device accents the low-light-loving, 12.3 MP, sapphire- crystal lens camera.

Defective battery. Do not buy.

Pros: Great phone for about 1 year.

Cons: Battery started to degrade significantly after warranty period. Its less than two years old now and the phone shuts down at ~25% battery life and won't power on until it has charged for about half an hour. Battery usage isn't bad, but with only 3/4 capacity it can't make it through the day.

Other Thoughts: Google tried some troubleshooting and then said: this phone is experiencing a hardware issue you will need to discuss it with the manufacturer. Huawei denied there was a problem.

Great phone until Bootloop

Pros: I have Project Fi Service and I loved this phone. It was fast, and the display was great. I really liked the fingerprint reader/unlock feature on the back of the phone

Cons: It worked great for about a year of use. I really took care of my phone, never toss it around and one day I found it stuck in a restarting loop. It would restart over and over again to the "google" screen. I called Project Fi and Huawei and both said that they couldn't help me.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this phone! Bootloop is a major issue! This was probably the most I payed for a phone, and IT died after a little over a year of use. Huawei offered no options with it and acted like they didnt know anything about it.

Battery issues galore

Pros: great screen, love the finger scanner.

Cons: Battery boot issues, fast drain, and slow customer service from Hauwei. I have to send the phone in for know defect with a three to four week turn around. No option for loaner phone while being serviced.

Also, everyone hears an echo when they talk to me. Very annoying.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this phone due to the battery and speaker issues.

Good phone, bad warranty, bad accessories.

Pros: Great phone.

Cons: Had problems with initial charger. So I had to send it back to manufacturer at my own cost (shipping was about $16). Got it back a couple weeks later and it worked fine. Almost 2 months later, the replacement charger died. I also bought a rapid charger online that works fine for this phone, will be buying another one to replace this. Will definitely not be purchasing any products from Huawei in the future. Terrible experience. 0/5 eggs if possible.

Manufacturer Response:
We are terribly sorry that you are having this issue with the charger with the Nexus 6p. We do understand the frustration. We advise swapping the ends of the charger. Please do keep in mind that the warranty (http://consumer.huawei.com/us/support/warranty-policy/mobile-phone/index.htm) is going to cover the charger. If you choose to send it into Huawei, you can contact Huawei Support at 1-888-548-2934. (jj)

One of The Best Android Phones of 2016

Pros: -Picture Quality is top notch for a cell phone
-Runs Very Smooth, never choppy
-Gets me through a whole day on one charge a day, even after heavy usage
-Better Priced than the Google Pixel and in my opinion just as good for a phone used for everyday tasks.
-Fingerprint Scanner is snappy and works great
-Screen looks amazing
-Unlocked, works on AT&T

Cons: -Speakers are a letdown from my old phone (HTC One M8)
-Video FPS is a big letdown. (30 Fps from rear camera) (20 Fps from front camera, even though it says it can do 30....)
-No 60FPS option for 1080P or 720P (But has slowmotion) Why not add 60FPS support, I know the phone is capable....
-Audio Jack has one of the worst headphone amps I have ever used from a phone (Headphones sound much more nice and louder on phones that are $300 less....
-Dropped the phone a week after I got it back in May of 16' on concrete and really busted the phone up, repairability is a nightmare with this phone.
-No SD Card Slot
-No Removable Batter

Other Thoughts: Would give the phone 5 stars, but the video camera and audio jack is a huge letdown for me, when it comes to a phone at this price point, a $200 phone shouldn't beat this phone in terms of something as simple as a audio jack amp... Also phones with similar specs support 60FPS recording at 1080p and 720p so why does this phone not? Other than that, I would recommend the phone to anyone looking for a great Android Phone without paying an arm and leg for a phone like the Google Pixel which is similarly spec'd. Also, I would like to have seen an option for a SD card and a removable battery, I still don't understand why all phones don't support such simple things.

32gb is not enough

Pros: I was paying $90+ for 2 phones on ATT, so I figured I'd try project fi for around $65 for 2 phones (+- data refunds).
So far the phone is pretty fast for something last year.
Unlocked (usable on most/all US phone companies)
Big qhd amoled screen
Android nougat and timely Google updates
Nice front speakers
USB c
Fingerprint sensor is better than my wife's axon 7
Devoloper option(s) to turn on/off some things

Cons: No SD card, 32gb (25gb available, then only like 21gb after only a few apps installed and not much pics/videos taken or any media loaded on phone for the times of no data boredom, so I'd assume with a library of good quality music and video data... That 21gb will probably drop to like 10gb available for random other stuff ... ) nowadays is just not enough. Alot of people argue that sd cards slow down the OS, but I've never really felt much in my previous SD cardable phones.
Some things in pure Android annoy me more than are useful
-can't switch back/task keys like my wife's axon 7 (coming from Samsung)
-I really just want to remove that Google toolbar taking up my screen (yes I'm those kind of people that hate clutter on my screen and would probably delete the windows trash bin too
-needs a nice readable battery %
-that back camera bulge
-nonremovable battery (sigh... Can't believe most phones are going this route, I could care less for waterproofing...never have dropped a phone into water, nor do I anticipate ever bringing a phone to a swim), and yet it's not some sort of water/dust proof
-the phones's way of turning on the screen as it anticipates my proximity/ picking it up is counter intuitive for me atm...hopefully I will get used to it.
-adaptive light display...Is either broken, no ambient light sensor at all. Or pretty much has never worked since launch (according through digging through some old threads on the subject). For something that is being touted as full of support and update, why even put in something that isn't working and hasn't even been updated on to work... The screen display brightness will pretty much stay at where you manually set it and won't really adjust according to ambient light.
-screen to bezel ratio is just horrible... Even the wife's axon 7 has front facing speakers along with some extra hardware (sd card, dual sim, ambient light sensor. Etc...) and it's screen to bezel ratio is better (could probably say the same for the pixel, just looking at pictures of the phone).

Other Thoughts: My last nexus (4) turned me off from nexus so much... I guess it was because the "pure Android" never really met my functionality of having lots of space for media, etc. Not only that but the phones battery pretty much was shot with heavy use and could not keep charge after a few months.
I'm hoping it's different with this 6p. I'm thinking I'll get 2years use before time renders the 32gb (more like 25gb) just too small for apps/media (and hoping the battery will be better than my old nexus 4). It gave me some concern when, The phone got pretty hot in the first few minutes of startup and updates (hope it will not be the norm)
I pretty much went with this phone as a way to try project fi... Hopefully I will not be disappointed. I guess I just got to watch my storage uptake, but I am liking my wife's axon 7 better atm (seems more bells and whistles)...
At $400 (through project fi)... There's really better options out there with more bells and whistles, but I guess I need this atm for fi

Worked for four months

Pros: Big clear display
Call sound quality was great
Fast processor

Cons: - Original set up was time consuming, because months of updates were required.
- Every case I tried affected the use of the buttons on the side, leading to never knowing where the volume was set. Off completey, or full volume? It was volume roulette.
- There were glitches that I had to google to find an answer to, like getting stuck in do not disturb mode.
- Less than four months into owning this phone, it started to fail. The camera stopped working. Then the speaker stopped working, which meant no calls. Sometimes when swiping, the screen would make a popping sound. After contacting customer service two weeks ago, I began an odyssey of frustration, and am currently waiting to see if the phone will get fixed.

Other Thoughts: Because of the great processor, I purchased this phone with the intent of keeping it for several years. At this point I would not recommend buying this phone, nor would I purchase it again.

Manufacturer Response:
Thank you for review on the Nexus 6P. We're sorry to hear that every case you tried effected the use of buttons on your phone. We advise that you browse the cases for the Nexus 6P on NewEgg, but please be weary of third party cases as we can't speak to how they'll fit on your 6P. We also apologize that you're having issues with Google and your camera. We advise closing down the app and opening it once more. This should refresh it. In regards to your camera, we advise shutting your phone off for 15-20 seconds and then turning it back on. This should refresh your phone. If these tips don't help, please give our Huawei Support Team a call at 1-888-548-2934 for further troubleshooting steps. (ED)

Good phone, especially for price

Pros: - stock android with no bloat ware
- great fingerprint reader
- runs smoothly
- decent build quality

Cons: switched from Samsung Note 3 and wish this phone had some of the features I loved on my Note 3.
- No multi window mode without rooting phone, at least until android nougat comes out
- No calendar widget with monthly view on home screens that shows actual plans. only has monthly calendar with stupid dots like iPhone.
Overall though no major complaints for $400 premium performance phone

Other Thoughts: bought with $25 gift card deal with free case
