SilverStone Sugo Series ABS / SECC Steel MicroATX Desktop Computer Case

The SG02F - the successor to the SG02 - is an evolutionary step forward in both performance and capabilities over the original Sugo chassis, the SG01. With the case now capable of handling even more powerful graphics cards than ever before, the SilverStone engineers were still able to keep the smaller dimension intact. Although SG02F's front panel design is unchanged from its predecessor, its styling and function continues to stand out from ordinary SFF designs. The same can also be said of its tried and true chassis layout, which is still capable of accepting larger ATX power supply or optical drives than other SFF cases available. This USB 3.0 model also comes with two front-loading USB 3.0 ports keeping you ahead of technology trend. Built based on a brand new steel structure, the SG02F is sure to please potential builders looking for primarily silent applications.

Stylish and good construction, happy with purchase.

Pros: Seems like a case that will withstand the test of time. Can fit a rather large video card. Plenty of ventilation.

Cons: Removed an egg for price, but I was willing to pay for the looks and this case had the dimensions I was looking for.

Small and efficient

Pros: -Very attractive styling.
-Constructed with durable materials.
-Fits full-size components despite small size.
-Magnetic front-panel latch is secure, quiet, and won't wear out.

Cons: -Due to the tight fit of everything, you may have to remove a couple components in order to reach one that you installed deep inside.
-Front-panel latch magnet is hard to get to, and also attracted to the metal casing opposite it's mounting position. If it ever gets loose, expect to dissemble everything in order to properly reposition it.

Garbage

Pros: -Small, sort of. Just as long as any other microatx mid tower.
-USB 3.0

Cons: Where to start.
-Cramped and horribly laid out. I've worked with several Cooler Master MiniITX cases that had more space to work than this thing.
-While you probably could use a full length video card, if you have any number of hard disks, their wires will get jammed up and bent against the back of the card.
-The whole thing is cheaply made; sharp edges, crummy stock fans, poorly fitted parts.
-Finally, the power supply screw pattern is upside down. Yes, really. The RaidMax power supply I am using now mounts with its intake fan facing the inside of the case, instead of the vents on the top.

This case is a giant junk heap, and a total rip-off at ~$70 to boot. Avoid at all costs, there are tons of better/cheaper MicroATX cases out there.

OK case but has some major quirks...

Pros: -Small footprint
- Two HDD bays
- Two 5.25" external drive bays (or one 5.25" and one 3.5" with included adapter)

Cons: - It "can" use a standard ATX PSU, but doing so will result in the loss of one, if not both, of the external drive bays. I don't even have an over-sized / overkill PSU...
- Putting any "normal" sized GPU in the first PCI-x slot on your mobo will more or less stop you from using the HDD bays... A short GPU (one that doesn't extend past the PCI-x slot...) will fix this. So would putting the GPU in your motherboard's 2nd PCI-x slot...

Other Thoughts: Not the case for me and my setup... IF you don't care about using the external drive bays (OR if you happen to have a super short PSU) and IF you're running a short GPU (OR using the 2nd PCI-x slot OR using on-board graphics), then the case seems pretty decent for the price.

Simply Elegant.

Pros: I cannot emphasize enough how pleasant this case was to work on. It is beautiful and well designed, feels high quality all around.

-Good open airflow.
-Relatively small and compact with little wasted space, yet doesn't feel cramped. Efficient design.
-Fit a full sized GTX 760 when I tried it. If the card is too big or the motherboard has the pcie slot stupidly positioned you can remove the HDD fan and move the drive cage over to make more space according to the manual, though I didn't have to do this.
-PSU drops in from above with no effort, sits perfectly positioned without any screws so installion is a breeze; on many cases I find that I have to finagle the PSU into place and hold it while putting in the first screw, but not in this case!
-Fan it comes with is pretty quiet.
-Motherboard installation was super easy with a standard microatx mobo, I'm not sure why other reviewers had a problem with it. Plenty of room for it on all sides.
-HDD bays come with mounts for SSDs.
-The Optical drive free floats on screws and isn't forced into a specific position so it can be aligned perfectly with the front of the case. Can also be installed by pushing it in through the front or back, so you don't have to pull out your PSU to replace it.
-Comes with some very useful cable management accessories, I found cable management came naturally in this case.

Overall this case was straightforward and easy to work with.

Cons: -Missing standoff hole for the edge of my motherboard for some reason, but this really wasn't a big deal because it was a largely unnecessary standoff.

Other Thoughts: Dual graphics card configurations could be problematic if you wanted to use both of the rear fan spots.

I will be looking for excuses to build more computers with this case, I plan on rebuilding my gaming rig in one.

Great case, but watch out with big graphics cards!

Pros: -Small(ish) formfactor
-uses a standard matx motherboard
-uses a standard ATX power supply (the main reason I bought this case)

Cons: Does NOT work with a long graphics card as described, I bought this case with the idea of using an MSI twin frozr TX 760 that is about 10.5" long, the description says it can fit a 14" long card, so I figured I was golden... NOPE

What they don't mention is that the PCIe slot on most boards lines up directly with the hard drive/DVD drive cage. (allowing only a 9.75" or shorter card to work) I had to return my Twin frozr and buy the MSI ITX version of the GTX 760.

Only includes 1 fan, but has mounts 2 others. Both fan mounts are right above the graphics card, the power adapter for my card (on the top of the card) lines right up with the 2nd fan port, so I had to forgo using that one, I had to heavily modify (read, dremel) the included fan to use it on the 2nd rear/top fan port as the bezel of the fan was hitting my GPU just enough to cause it not to secure down to the rail.

Not a fan of the fold down door in the front, why not just put the USB ports on the front and get rid of the door all together?

The case was a bit longer and wider then I expected, since it can't actually house a 14" graphics card as they attempt to tell you, it could have been a bit shorter.

Other Thoughts: This really is a good case all in all, it seems well built and has options for 3 fans (only 1 included) plus USB 3.0 ports on the front. The case could have been designed better (see cons above) and also would be nice if they didn't lie to you about the size of the graphics card it can accept. Knowing this now I likely would have looked at other cases that are a bit smaller, but for the price its a pretty good deal if you know these shortcomings going in.

Legit

Pros: Looks amazing and feels durable.

Cons: Make these kind of models for ATX motherboards please.
