4 out of 5 eggsWith this you get what you pay for and thats a GOOD THING!B

Pros: Small, the form factor is no bigger then a shoe box. Setup was no more harder then turn on, follow on screen prompts. Ive done some virgin systems in my time and this was the least complicated. If you can read then your good. Faster then a Yugo but its no Ferrari so dont expect to blaze a PVP anytime soon.

Set aside the keyboard and mouse with it and opt for a wireless. It will install it right from the get go.

Once it came I did my own tech thing and looked at the guts. Its a laptop/desktop. Dont be confused its not a net top, it just uses some laptop parts; IE fans DVD other semiconductors. Thats the best part IF something breaks replacing parts is going to be like changing a lightbulb.

Over all its a good little power house system for email, surfing, and yes Farmville. I bought 2 one for the wife and one for dad to replace their 800mhz 256mb RAM DINOSOURS. Thery are so happy now. Merry Christmas to us.

As far as upgrades go. RAM is just replace your 2gb for 4gb Win 7 32bit will not use it all but its better. DVD-RW is avalable from Newegg and Ama$on for the Lenovo its a laptop slot removable optical drive, around $40 more later if you want to burn DVD movies or data disks.

Also Lenovo makes a 2.5 SATA drive enclosure to HOTswop in the DVD bay. Ust add your own terabite if you dont need the Optical drive.

Oh and it said 4-7 days shipping... total time with order...48 HRS Holly CR..OW

Cons: Dont be upset as the pics online are no where near the units sent. I am a techy so I was expecting what I saw via pics. Only 2 ram slots not 4 so if you upgrade you have to REPLACE ram not add. Thats a bummer as then you have random RAM, lol, laying around. Not 2 pci slots only one. Thats here nor there. The cons are just an FYI for more amal retentive people then I and folks that might freak as they ''didnt get what they paid for''. Its ok kids it'll grow back.

The wife was expecting the unit she saw online and subtle differences put her a bit off. iE; interior placment, exterior ports. Weight.

Other Thoughts: For the price your paying compared to other vendors of the same unit Newegg has THE BEST deal. 50 to 60% better. Im thinking of getting my self one to add to my 55in TV, who wouldnt want Farmville on 55 inches...

Dont wait on this you'll be sorry.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality bargan

Pros: Like new clean - opened the case and the internals were pristine, not a spec of dust to be seen even on the power supply fan blades.
Fresh unactivated copy of Win7 home professional SP1 (32 bit) installed which activated without a hitch.
Very good packaging
Includes keyboard and mouse

Cons: Nothing to complain about

Other Thoughts: Better than I expected for a refurb. May not be the computer for everyone, gamers will want to look elsewhere. But for use as an email, internet and office app machine this is sweet. I added 2GB of 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 to top it up. Remember 32 bit will not recognize the full 4GB, but for less that $30, no harm done.

Be prepared to spend a couple of hours updating Windows from the installed SP1 level.

3 out of 5 eggsExpected better.

Pros: Great value if you are upgrading to win 7. Hardware is still decent for 2013. Great slim case, easy to get to everything. Includes Win 7 install disc should you have any problems.

Cons: Hard drive failed before win 7 updates were done. (minus 2 eggs)
DVD drive in mine is read only, not RW as described. (minus 1 egg)

Other Thoughts: Windows warned that hard drive was failing before Win 7 updates were even done. Smart data shows failure. Tried to back up what was already on disc with another system since I had already activated and had most updates. Ended up with I/O failures on drive, so I guess I'll be doing a fresh install. This hard drive didn't last 2 hours, I fail to see how it passed even minimal testing to be OKed as a good refurb. Rest of the system seems fine, so not worth shipping back for the hard drive. Should still be a decent value after I find another drive. (add 1 egg back)

4 out of 5 eggsworked great for a few days then...

Pros: Works well
Easy to set up
Pretty fast for 32 bit and only 2GB of RAM

Cons: After 4 days of use the computer fan or hard drive seemed like it was running full speed all the time and even after shutting it down a letting it rest for a few hours, it kept running.

Other Thoughts: I ended up chatting with customer service about my issue and they immediately offered to issue a RMA to have me send it to be replaced. I was surprised how quickly they were willing to take the item back to make it right. Thanks Newegg!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal...

Pros: Had one of my friends recently purchase this, on my advice, and I set it up for them. Came packaged really well, and functions perfectly.

Surprisingly powerful with for Pentium Wolfdale, and only 2GB of RAM. Came with Win 7-32bit, which works just fine with this setup.

Cons: The BIOS is not for noobs. This is obviously a former corporate unit, and as such, had BIOS settings foreign to most home users. Once I got the BIOS straightened around, and turned off all the corporate network stuff, all went well.

There were no instructions of any kind included with the computer, so if you're thinking of buying it, and know nothing about how to setup BIOS, or know someone who can do it for you, be prepared to do some studying.

Other Thoughts: This is a perfect little computer for those who just want do some internet cruising, office work, emails, and even watching movies. A great value.

I installed the (free) Libre Office suite, and it works great with it. Be prepared for several hours of Windows updating after you do the initial BIOS setup and Windows bootup.

Had only one tiny little covered scratch. It's not new, but it's not priced like new. It did come with a new keyboard and mouse (both cheap, but usable). Hard to believe one can buy a computer that runs Windows 7 well, for this kind of money!
