4 out of 5 eggsGreat Entry Level Gaming Rig

Pros: - Super inexpensive
-Nice looking case
-Great for getting into modding
-Big case

Cons: -Bad Hard Drive
-Bad Cooling

Other Thoughts: Ive had this computer for over a year now and i am happy with the purchase. It was incredibly cheap and you get your money's worth. I read a lot of the reviews and realized that a lot of people bought this computer who dont know what they are doing.

Yes the hard drive is bad, it lasted me more than a year but it is very very slow. thats why I ordered a new one from this website along with an ssd.

The cooling is bad, easy fix. i bought some cooler master case fans with red LEDs and replaced the cpu heatsink/fan with the hyper 12 evo.

This rig is great for starting out with pc gaming. I bought an nvidia gtx 760 and im amazed by the results! it did not bottleneck at all, even with this slow hard drive. im running battlefield 4 on ultra 60 fps after just a gpu upgrade.

Manufacturer Response:

2 out of 5 eggsCyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra 2138 Desktop PC

Pros: Cool leds/Case well vented

Cons: Customer support/ Hardware/Assembly

Other Thoughts: Review for CyberpowerPC Gamer Ultra 2138 Desktop PC AMD FX-Series FX-8120(3.1GHz) 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity AMD Radeon HD 6670 1GB Windows 8 machine. I purchased this machine on 11/22/2012 for what was a reasonable price. The system was never a High performer out of the gate, that should have been my first warning sign or the quality, the fan make a rather loud noise until it has been spinning for a while. After 1.5years the hard drive died, I tried calling the manufacture but they are not open Sunday and they are on GMT time in CA. So out a drive I had to go purchase a new one, I got a Seagate 1TB drive for 50 to replace the one that is dead (making clicking noises and not functioning). When I pulled the case open I saw the original drive was installed slanted! I could not believe it (this machine has never been dropped or opened) I bought an assembled rig so it would be hassle less for me. After cleaning up the cables (which were way too short to reach the drive properly, I got the new drive installed. Since this machine came with NO backup software I had a hell of a time trying to get windows8 reloaded. Call MS they couldn’t help me as they said my product key was non OEM (manf specific) and they could not do anything please contact the company but again this happened late at night and they are not open at that time nor at all on Sunday. So I got a new version of Win 8.1 Pro and made a bootable ISO and installed it. Then I had to go locate the drivers online (Windows8.1Pro did a good job of finding some). Since I don’t have the UEFI Boot loader or W/E CyberpowerPC uses (since the bios is limited) I have to wait about 40 seconds for the machine to load to the hard drive and then it gives me please select bootable device (after that it is apx 1.3 mins) before it all loads. So at the end of the day I would have been better off building this rig myself as I just did my other rig for virtualization. For a High performance pc companies should use better parts expectedly for the price of the builds, as that Toshiba drive is a RE-BRANDED Hitachi that is known to have issues. At least the machine looks cool! Again this is MY experience yours could be different and in over a year maybe they tighten up Quality Assurance for build checks.

1 out of 5 eggsUnimpressed

Pros: Great at first, upgraded the gpu and everything was kosher for 5 months until PC kept shutting down. Lots of space.

Cons: PC keeps shutting down while gaming. Cpu runs too hot/ps failing. Got the wrong cpu like everyone else. I contacted customer service like the manufacturer keeps replying here, but CS was no help. Told me to reapply thermal paste which only shaved three degrees off of the idle cpu temp (57c! In bios!). CS agent completely ignored the fact I had been shipped the wrong cpu and wouldn't touch the subject only quoting warrantee. Have a new psu in the mail but I'll never buy anything from this manufacturer again.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I bought this machine as a starter gaming computer that I could upgrade as I needed. I've owned it a few days over a year now and its been a solid investment. I'm not saying I haven't had trouble, I'm saying with the exception of getting a lesser processor than I paid for the machine has served my expectations.

Cons: I also Received an 8120 processor and Not the 8320 :(

The mouse and keyboard were both kind of cheap haha but that's no big deal I wasn't buying them they just happen to come along with the item I wanted :)

Other Thoughts: To be honest the processor in itself is worth taking away all the eggs. I'll leave 2 eggs cause it was built, shipped, and worked well. If the manufacturer wanted to trade in my processor for me I'd give it 5 with xtra praise lol.

1 out of 5 eggsnot worth it

Pros: um ran good for a couple of months

Cons: already replaced the psu twice and just about to hit 1 yr and i need to send it back again the fan on the power supply is very quite for a few weeks now it's like a lawnmower in my living room. the graphics are meh for what your supposed to get in all honesty i just want my money back so i can buy something that works and i don't have to keep getting parts replaced every month. not only is it a hassle to keep sending it back and costly it's like pulling teeth trying to get any kind of customer service dept to help get it fixed.

Other Thoughts: not a fan, but you'll need to buy alot to keep this machine working as a gaming pc plus video carp plus psu plus .......etc

3 out of 5 eggsWorked great for a while

Pros: The computer worked great for about 6 months.

Cons: First 2 months of playing it was 120+ playing league of legends on average, After that it went down to about 60 and now today it is at 20. Not sure if problem with processor, graphics card or something else

Other Thoughts: Definitely worth if looking for another soon. But im not. Hopefully i can figure out the problem and fix it.

3 out of 5 eggsCameron

Pros: Good hard drive space.
Nice case.

Cons: Got a replacement - first computer the hard drive failed.
The fan in the PSU has broken after 3 months.
Terrible graphics card.
I also received an AMD-8120 3.1GHz processor when it was advertised as an AMD-8320 3.5GHz. I contacted NewEgg and they told me that since I noticed it AFTER 1 month of having it, there's nothing they can do.

Other Thoughts: It's a good thing this is discontinued. Also will never be buying from Cyberpower again since they like to send out the wrong parts.

2 out of 5 eggsAfter a year....

Pros: I was able to use it for a year.

Cons: After a year my computer died :(

I think the hard drive (Toshiba) died.

Other Thoughts: PS: The fan also started making loud noise for about 10-15mins.

1 out of 5 eggsWRONG PARTS

Pros: Decent enough for low end games but not enough for games that are graphic intensive such as Tera Aion etc.

Cons: On the order it states that the processor should be an AMD FX-8320 Eight-core 3.5GH processor but instead it comes with an AMD FX-8120 Eight-core processor 3.1GH, the computer overheats when playing graphic intensive games and it corrupts data when it does turn off
