3 out of 5 eggsVery entry level gaming PC.

Pros: Pros: Already comes with Windows 7 without all the bloat ware.
Case is nice size for adding components.
Price is cheap enough that if you already have a good PS and GPU, you will save some money.

Cons: Cons: GPU is weak and outdated, power supply doesn't come with a 6 or 6+2 pin for PCI-e.
Who thought putting the Power and Restart buttons on top of the PC was a good idea?
If you game at all, you will need a new PS and GPU.

We bought two of these units because our current PCs are well over 4 years old and this model was cheap enough to save us some money.

Other Thoughts: Now that I have switched out to my old 750W PS and old GPU, the CPU has no trouble handling everything I can throw at it.

If these PC's last a year I will be amazed.

2 out of 5 eggsSensible Review

Pros: Cheap. Prebuilt. Comes with Windows 7 installed.

Cons: I will include a tl;dr -- but please read because it might save you some trouble and I'm typing this in hopes that you can make an informed decision based on my experiences with Cyberpower computers.

Alright, so this computer is really a hit or miss-- some parts are cheap, some parts are decent. It really depends on how lucky you are, I guess. I say this because my buddy bought the exact same computer and got a new graphics card that is the exact same as the one I bought. His power supply, however, among other things was not the exact same as mine. However, it was also rated at 500W and the card called for a supply of the same power rating.

Short story, with the new load on the power supply a diode blew on his cheap power supply. After doing some research I found that a few guys tested this particular unit which was priced at 20 USD in 2011. The test results were a fail for all loads above 50% of the rated wattage.

What does this mean? Essentially you are only able to utilize ~250 W of that unit before it is taxed. With the cheap components something will undoubtedly short, as it did in the case of my friends power supply. However, my unit is still in business and was built by a different manufacturer. I won't bother to tell you which because you will NEVER find ANY information on them whatsoever.

I talked with Cyberpower customer support over the phone and I explained my concern over having a power supply in my computer which was essentially untraceable in any database on the internet. I asked them if they could provide me with a retailer list of the parts they bought in bulk, or a datasheet of my specific unit. The guy told me without hesitation that he couldn't help me because CyberpowerPC buys their product in bulk and does not keep a record of the datasheets.

By the time I finished my minute in a half spiel about how it was a bad business model and terrible for PR he was pretty much silent. When I asked if he was still there he gave me a monotone curt reply and I told him to have a good day and thanks for the "help". He replied with "you too" in an annoyed voice and I felt like I had just gone through a break up :( .

You will need to upgrade the graphics card if you want to do anything without slight to horrible lag. Just trust me on this. When you do find your beautiful new unit to slam into your prebuilt case, be ready for your PCI-E x1 slot to never see the light of day again because that bad boy is going to get completely covered by any mainstream card.

The real issue though is just like I stated earlier, you are going to be putting probably the largest load on your PSU if you buy an upgraded card, so you will probably just need to replace that too before it dies on you. Lot of stuff to replace right?

I'm gonna go ahead and give this a two star review because the price aint bad and it beats putting your computer together from a lot of moving parts.

Other Thoughts: TL;DR (as promised) --- The hardware is bought in bulk. Some items are decent, some are terrible. It really depends on which bulk order was used to build yours. These computers are assembled in China and then shipped back to US warehouses for distribution. You will need to upgrade your graphics card for actual gaming. Your power supply will most likely not support the new load due to terrible efficiency(~50% on some units). This will end in your power supply dying. If you want any datasheets or specs on anything other than the motherboard, GPU, and CPU --- you're out of luck, CyberpowerPC doesn't keep records.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Entry level gaing computer!

Pros: The computer arrived very fast. The case looks great. I really like the red LED fans. The computer started right up. Can run games like WOW,. SWTOR, LOL, TFU2, and many others on high graphics settings.

Cons: I wanted to add a solid state drive, but there is no additional drive rail system to attach it too.

Other Thoughts: This is a great PC for a gamer to start with. Has a lot of space inside the case for plenty of upgrades. I look forward to spending many years with this rig!

Pros: Useless piece of trash that never even powered up sold by a bunch of thieves and liars that have yet to return my money. Will NEVER buy from them again!

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGood PC

Pros: Cheap, Windows already installed. No time wasted with ordering multiple parts thinking you are going to "build" your own PC.

Cons: Low spec GPU (will replace). -- Rec r9 270, power supply (500 W) should accommodate it well enough.

Other Thoughts: The power cord included was defective and would not power the computer. You can get a new one for 10 bucks at a local store if you run into the same issue and need a this fix.

2 out of 5 eggsNot even close enough

Pros: motherboard is upgradable to bigger CPU, GPU etc.

Cons: This Computer has the Lowest Recommended Processor in warlords of draenor . Its ram is the slowest DDR3 on the market and the r7 240 is as worthless to gaming as a onboard graphics processor.

to be frank it has room to upgrade , but ask yourself why would i have to upgrade a whole computer i just bought ?

cause if you bought this then you would understand it doesnt play games smooth enough @ a decent resolution. you can almost build one at the same cost give or take a hundred bucks that will make a huge difference.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this thinking your getting a Gaming PC , For one research the parts on this PC most site reviews are from several years ago . that should show you how old the parts are. Also research the graphics cards Radeon R7 doesnt make it fast or better than older cards. you will get better performance out of a 5870 HD than this R7 240

Manufacturer Response:

Pros: Great computer, runs great

Cons: Overheats easily, and then disconnects me from the internet until it resolves

5 out of 5 eggsHappy

Pros: -great PC for the price
-great foundation PC to build off of
-comes with a mouse and keyboard
-plenty of USB ports as well as different video ports
-open PCI-e slot for expansion
-plenty of room for extra CD/DVD/Blue ray burners, extra hard drives or whatever you want to add
-plenty of room for more fans
-USB 3.0 and 2.0 slots

Cons: -might want to upgrade the graphics card if used for extreme gaming.

Other Thoughts: Short Background: I'm a computer tech major and I've worked in the IT department at my college for a few years now.
I originally had planned to build a decent gaming PC for my brother (he's not a hardcore PC gamer, but we both enjoy PC games on a fairly regular basis), but after i saw the price of this for everything that you get, we decided to get this PC and upgrade it slowly if needed. So far he's been able to play all of his games (left 4 dead2, Skyrim, Minecraft, other steam games) without any problems on decent graphics settings. We haven't really upgraded anything to date (only added a wifi card)...if we do it will possibly be the graphics card as he gets into more PC games, but he's been totally fine with the one that's in it. I realized that some reviewers had problems with power supply, so far we haven't had a problem, and power supplies can kind of be iffy to being with (i end up changing bad power supplies at work ALL the time) a new power supply isn't unreasonably expensive either if need be, and there's room for more fans, if you leave your computer on a lot. Most everything in this PC is great for the price, i know that some people would probably want a better graphics card, which you can easily add, but this PC would be a good foundation to build on. The only thing we added was a Wireless card so he can use the WiFi. I got a decent one online for pretty cheap and since this PC has an open PCI-e slot, i popped it right in and everything worked just fine. P.S. the keyboard and mouse that came with it are fine (i forget which one, but one of them ONLY worked in the USB 3.0 slots and would not work in the 2.0, but not a huge deal).

5 out of 5 eggsupdate

Pros: am now on my second same computer...both working perfectly. they both get worked hard each day.. 13,000 hours on one and about 4000 on the other. as far as i am concerned, this is one of the best deals on newegg. and win7 is stable and works beautifully. the big case is a delight to work inside of. i am a desktop guy and this is great.

Cons: none, well, maybe a bit of a loud fan but no big deal at all.
