1 out of 5 eggsBroke

Pros: Measured lots of parameters

Cons: Broke after about a year, after warranty ran out. First the readings started getting unreliable, then the display slowly faded out to blank over a few months.

3 out of 5 eggsdoes the job but....

Pros: works

Cons: convenience was not in design.
1. there is no back light...
2. there is no memory
3. screen and controls on the same plane as the outlet

If you did not get it... Things are plugged in usually not in very accessible locations, so when you unplug you got no data... when you try to see plugged in you need a flash light and you have to be in a very uncomfortable position

Other Thoughts: tool is useful but why engineers could not cross it with a calculator beats me...

5 out of 5 eggsMoney Saver

Pros: Easy to use, Fri. to Mon. free shipping.

Cons: It's not very easy to plug in or unplug a devise. This may
be built in for purposes of reading the elec. current??

Other Thoughts: AsRock z75, i3 2120, 2 WD HDD, Xonar DG, GTX 660, 4 case
fans: +/- 60W at idle. With settings on High and 1920x
1280p Crysis was drawing as much as 215W. No need to
upgrade my 500W PSU before getting an i5. Very pain-
less $20 spent for this info.

Pros: Does what it is supposed to do at a reasonable price.

Cons: Form factor is not ideal. I am on my second Kill A Watt as the first one died.

5 out of 5 eggsCool beans

Pros: A geek's dream.
Informative.
Works as promised.
Refreshes data every 1 or 2 seconds

Cons: A bit bulky.
Takes up the 2nd wall outlet by poor bulky design.
No backlit LED makes it hard to see digits when under the table or in a semi-dark area.

Other Thoughts: Add 6" non-breaker extension cord or longer to prevent 2nd outlet takeover.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a kill-a-watt. Does what it says.

Pros: It does what it says to do, refreshes quickly, and seems consistent. Allows getting a sense of how much power various devices draw, from phone chargers to microwaves.

Cons: A history or average would be very nice, but you have to spend more to get those features.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid product for the price

Pros: For the price, the accuracy is very good. While it is not 100% accurate it is accurate enough that you can know the power use of items without needing to spend a few hundred dollars on testing equipment.

Cons: The Kill-a-watt is not 100% accurate. Not that this is a deal breaker, but do know that there is a margin of error with this product.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking to determine power use of various devices the basic Kill-a-watt is a solid product as long as you don't need 100% accuracy. 99+-% accuracy is good enough for the majority of users out there.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works as advertised.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I wish you could see the screen at an angle. No reason to take an egg off for that.
