Pros: Can convert any record I have into an MP3 and what more do you want then that? It took a little getting used to when it came to playing with the program on the computer but totally worth it. Now I can bop around like all the cool kids in my car with my MP3 player but playing GOOD MUSIC!!!! I also like the fact that the vinyl sound is there makes it more authenitc. Then again if your Vinyl is in good shape the vinyl sound is not that noticeable.

Cons: The only complaint I have is that there is no actual pause button on the program when you are converting just one vinyl track off a whole LP. You should be able to have a pause button or something on the program. But thats a small complaint you get over it once you realize how great this product is.

Other Thoughts: When I saw this offered online I was both excited and skepitcal. After reading many REVIEWS both positive and negative I thought I would Give it a whirl. or spin if you will. I also hooked it up to my stereo and the sound was excellent considering some of the records I played belonged to my Grandfather. My Grandmother also got a great kick out of listening to all the "oldies" again!

Pros: Very easy to use/ setup. Includes all necessary cables.
Nice output to my stereo via componet cables.
Decent quality recordings. Worthwhile, but not "archival" quality or something like that.

Cons: The sound quality needs to be a little bit better for such a high price.
It has automatic song recognition via Gracenote which sweet, but it takes a long time, sometimes is wrong, and cannot be disabled.

Other Thoughts: Nice, pain free way to record some vinyl.

At this price consider just buying the songs you like on your vinyl (which will be a higher quality.)

Overall, I like it.

Pros: It works very well. I bought this for my mom to backup/play all her old records, which she has been trying to do for about 10 years now since her last record player broke. It does everything she wants it to and more, at a great price. Easy to buy replacement cartidges on the ion website.

Cons: Haven't noticed any.

Other Thoughts: My mom set this up. Without my help. And it still worked. Obviously ION did a good job at making this thing user friendly... :)

Pros: I think that this product does exactly what you want it t do and then some. It is a great product. Save all your old records on CD's and even hook up speakers and just play the records. Great product. Worth the money.

Cons: Takes a little bit of time to learn how to use with the computer. But not to long at all.

Pros: Plug and play. Cartridge installed and ready to go.

Cons: Doesn't work well will all software. I wanted to use "Spin it Again" because of it's automated track splitting features (I have over 300 LPs to transfer), so using the included software was of no interest. When I plug in the turntable, my windows recording controls grey out - and the level coming out of the turntable is to hot for the software. With no way to lower the level, I can t use the software - so looks like I'm stuck going back to my mixing baord and stereo.

Other Thoughts: Even though I have a full stereo turntable setup, and mixing board I could use to transfer LPs into digtial - I thought it would be much easier and "green" to just buy this and plug it into my laptop. So far that's not been the case.

Pros: The idea is great. There is a need for a good product like this is supposed to represent.

Cons: Ion has the worlds worst support--don't even try. They won't answer your emails for help after 6 requests. I filed with the BBB against them. Don't even think of trying this product with VISTA. The product is cheap, flimsey, plastic, and pretty much worthless.

Pros: Cost - inexpensive unit and has fairly good sound. This unit is identical to an older turntable that I have. No hum audible from the unit upon playback.

Cons: The software is spotty. Audacity is somewhat clumsy to use and the packaged ripping software (EZ-Vinyl) requires iTunes to rip the tracks. The Gracenote application for looking up tracks is not very accurate. Also, and this could be something I am doing, iTunes adds each track twice to the compilation. I am required to delete the tracks before saving the album. Sound quality at greater than 44Hz is spotty.

I received the unit on 2/12 and it had a broken dust cover clip. No big deal - the unit worked fine, so I contacted Numark for a replacement. A full month and four unanswered emails later I started pounding the phone to find out why the part was not received. Now I am being told that it is on backorder and there is no eta. "Check back in a month and we will see where we are at." I was told.

Other Thoughts: The customer service is terrible. I tried to save the hassle of returning a product to Newegg for a cosmetic defect. I should have gone that route. I guess you get what you pay for.

Pros: works as stated, somewhat.

Cons: does not remove all hiss and LP noise. somewhat cheap fell.

Other Thoughts: software somewhat misleading hard to understand.

Pros: Cheaper price.

Cons: Received it with a broken cover hingle. Two thin plastic hinges grip the hard plastic cover which attaches into the plastic base. Overall the player is mostly plastic. It does not look like you can upgrade the phono cartridge to a higher quality standard one.

Other Thoughts: Probably unsatisfactory for a serious user.
