5 out of 5 eggsBroke in nicely.

Pros: -Lots of input options.
-Appearance is great.
-Very heavy and well built. Solid as a rock.
-Can easily shake my house.
All in all, I am very satisfied with this sub. At first I was worried about it being a bit boomy, but as I played it more and more, it just kept sounding better and better. Now that I've gotten 30-50 hours of play, they sound as I expected a Polk subwoofer to sound.Got it on sale, so no complaints about the price either. I wanted a sub that could shake the house, and that is what I got.

Cons: It makes a buzzing feedback noise sometimes, but that may just be something I did. It does not happen often, so it isn't much of a con, plus I think I can fix it somehow.

Other Thoughts: Solid subwoofer. Going to try something else for the second Sub in my setup, but for the price it is a great value.

5 out of 5 eggsSub!

Pros: Not even broken in and it pounds. It dominates my other speakers. This is so overkill for home theater. This should be put in something other than a house. I cannot play it above half volume for fear of my life and my possessions. It has nice tight, accurate sound, and once again not broken in.

Cons: As stated by many others this sub looses pressure around 30hz. And as others have said it is the enclosure not the speaker.

Other Thoughts: So it's 50lb for a reason, it thumps. This should not be near a person when playing, it physically hurts. It has many options for plug ins. Personally I have my computer 3.5mm out to a component to my receiver(yes, I know the issues with my setup, I got the receiver for free I cannot complain) And from that I have another component to the sub, so strait from my PC. It drains no power from the receiver signal which I was worried about. Off of that receiver I have 2 pioneer cabinets and some other speakers. The cabinets each have a 12" sub in them, this thing blows them away.

3 out of 5 eggsNot too bad for the price however...

Pros: Inexpensive
Overall decent quality sound and build

Cons: Port 'buzz' at some frequencies

Other Thoughts: Wanted something else but funds dried up before I got my sub bought so settled on this one due to price, the reviews here and other places. I delayed getting it thoroughly tested for a few months (due to work) then discovered the port buzz that's really annoying. Fortunately it's isolated to a very narrow number of frequencies at specific volumes. Will be replacing it in about a year and will relegate this one to less visible stereo.

4 out of 5 eggsSounds Good, But Misadvertised. The Amplifier is NOT "BASH"

Pros: • Very loud.
• Frequency sweep from 5hz -100hz shows subwoofer activity and excursion starting at 20hz.
• Built well.
• Amp runs cool (so far.)

Cons: • Amplifier is MISADVERTISED. It is NOT a "BASH" amplifier. There is no logo in the manual, on the amp plate, or on the AMP PCB. This amp has been redesigned some time recently.
• Subwoofer driver has small magnet and somewhat weak response curve.
• Box is tuned high. "Boomy" at higher frequencies.

Other Thoughts: • I'm not sure if the amplifier is class D or an AB / D hybrid. Maybe a BASH clone? PWM? It does run cool.
• The subwoofer driver manufacture date is Nov 2013. I thought they stopped manufacturing these years ago?

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding

Pros: Everything!!
Great range when set properly with crossover freq.
Cheap got 2 of these for 199.00 per unit.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: These Subs rock, replaced my Klipsch sub10 whicj had died like all the rest, the Amplifier went tried to replace the amplifier and they wanted 120 dollars, so just bought these for 199.00. Got 2 of them 1 for living room and the other my man cave. These thing usually retail for 600.00 but on sale I'm guess because of the newer model , and that's fine with me.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this sub! Your neighbors will not, LOL!

Pros: Have this beauty for over 1 year now and couldn't be happier. I throw everything my Onkyo has at it and it never even skips a beat, literally... And as for being part of my 5.1 when I'm not pushing it, you will feel everything in the movie quite nicely. Got it under 200 and it may be one of the bargains of my lifetime!

Cons: I really think I bought an under-powered receiver for this sub! 135w and it just wants more!

Other Thoughts: Buy it and be happy! As always, Newegg rocks the price and delivery!

4 out of 5 eggsgame changer

Pros: Shakes the heck out of my house. Easy setup.

Cons: Hmmmm

Other Thoughts: Expected this thing to be physically huge, but it is not any bigger than I would have guessed. It's a 12" speaker, so expect that diameter, plus a couple inches padding, and cube it. Pretty simple to know what you're getting.

I had a 5.0 setup with DefTech BP8B's in the front, 350s as surrounds, and Mythos Three center channel.
I thought this was sufficient, but my friends said "Trust me, get a sub, it's a game changer." After using it to watch Dark Knight Rises, The Hobbit, and Return of the King - I agree. This thing is a game changer.

Have tried it in both Dolby Digital and DTS modes, connected via LFE, and have volume set around 70%. I just have one thing to say: BOOM! this thing can just huff and puff and blow my house down. It is truly a game changer.

4 stars as I like to leave room for improvement. Maybe the user-interface could be more clear about what the different hz levels are, that is a bit over my head. I should probably just read the manual ;)

5 out of 5 eggsRollin in the Deeps

Pros: -Price (open box)
-Adel would be proud

Cons: -Open box
-Scuffed & dented box

Other Thoughts: I purchased this as the last piece in my 7.2 setup. I am loving its face off! I have a small down firing 8" for those tight punchy pows and have this up against the couch specifically to shake me durring those BOOMS! I have this set to a very low freq so it only goes off durring the deep boom and rumbles.

Other then it looking like someone hit it with a bat there is nothing I can see that is wrong with it. It works perfectly and sounds so so good.

3 out of 5 eggsVery nice at low level volume

Pros: 300 watts rms, it goes boom !

Cons: The bass is not clear unless you have it turned down to maybe 1/2 volume. If you go any louder? I get bad port noise and a vibration. The surround of the woofer is cheap foam. I expected a rubber surround. But that would be a negative.

Made in China, Cheap woofer
