4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to setup and testing.
Wireless friendly.
two way Audio.

Cons: built in IR light is not strong enough for night vision.
Lens quality.

Other Thoughts: The product quality for the price/unit is excellent (under 50) as refurbished. I order 4 and 2 were defective. Newegg refunded one unit and replaced one unit. Now, I lack of a cam channel from the Secureview software. Oh well.

3 out of 5 eggsWifi Connection Drops

Pros: They're cheap especially for the refurbished ones. Small in size, video quality is better than and higher res than those zmodo junks which I've tried and returned. Wall mount is good and is not your basic type.

Cons: Wifi connection is not reliable at all. Give it time and it will fail and you will need to reboot the camera. This is an issue because it's not an easy thing to do when it's ceiling mounted. What's worse is that network indicator shows it's connected (flashes) but the camera is not ping-able or streaming so you might think it's working. The only way you will know it's not working is when you view it and shows no connection.

I had these issues running the latest firmware at time of writing so no fix other than RMA.

Other Thoughts: If you must rely on WiFi and I would not use this one. Just not reliable enough. Never tested it on wired so I can't comment.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible Lag

Pros: This camera does have a high quality image when it finally arrives. Might be good for a security camera.

Cons: I bought this as a baby monitor and it was a big mistake. It has a 45-60 second lag on average while hard wired and on wireless. I tried every quality setting and could never get the lag less than 30 seconds on the lowest quality setting. I spent over an hour with tech support with no improvement. I RMA'ed it and the replacement unit was even worse. I bought this as a cheaper alternative to a D-link DCS-932L and very much regret my decision. The D-link has less than to 1 second delay with far easier setup and features.

Other Thoughts: I really don't understand how 2-way audio would work with this unit with this huge of a video/audio delay.

This unit is cheap for a reason. Don't waste your money. Also realize there is a limited exchange policy on this unit and you won't be able to get your money back.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Camera

Pros: Love this refurb cam for 69.99, its completely standalone and works over my existing wifi to send me email alerts with a picture when motion is detected, at which point i can login from work (or anywhere) and check the video feed. The motion sensing thresholds are completely adjustable and very effective. I'm using this for home security, and so far it's been working great. I'm buying a second one.

Cons: Motion sensing does not work well at night and the "night mode" infared light does not work well at a distance for good visuals. Leaving a light on does the trick though. I also havent played with the nightmode settings which may help, but for the most part i prefer to leave a light on.

5 out of 5 eggsTV-IP312W

Pros: No issues with anything - hooked them up to a wired connection first for setting up wireless then relocated them to where I wanted them and they have been working flawlessly since but they do need ac power of course!

Cons: Green colours are white or shades of white.

Other Thoughts: Securview software works fine although you cannot adjust the window size - it's either regular size window or full screen. You can add more cameras.
