5 out of 5 eggsSmall but works well

Pros: Everything works, decent range, positive responses, bought on sale for a good price. Does everything I've tried in BeyondTV, as well as Media Center.

Cons: Every remote control takes a little getting used to, but still I suppose it would be handier for me if it was a little bit bigger.

3 out of 5 eggsit's alright

Pros: works like it should.

Cons: buttons are small. arrow buttons are small and close together, no spacing between them. makes it a chore to press the button and not hit another button.

Other Thoughts: i have an older model rrc-127 that is basically this remote with a few differences. 1) spacing between the arrow keys 2) slightly wider, but not much 3) it lacks the red, green, yellow, blue buttons. (i wish it had those) 4) circular play/pause/etc button layout (which i prefer)

i still prefer my old rrc-127 over this newer model. it's slightly bigger but still not huge. it's easier to do the most common tasks on media center with it, which is use the arrow keys, click enter, and use the play/pause buttons.

5 out of 5 eggsAweomse controller for Windows Media and XBMC

Pros: Quality build with plastic
Buttons are solid
Design is simple but works
Small foot print controller which fits in one hand and one hand operation
Plug and play..no need for 3rd party drivers
All buttons are mapped very well for use
I love the Windows button placement
Mini dongle but works very well and far too - I'm about 20 feet away and the USB dongle is tucked inside a glass case about 4 feet from the ground. I still receives the signals solid!
It even comes with two AAA batteries to get you started

Cons: I know it's just a cheap remote for Windows Media and/or XBMC but I would of loved some customize able buttons and maybe a little touch screen?

Other Thoughts: I got this on sale for just ten bucks! I would not recommend paying anything over twenty bucks on this controller.

With that being said..it is definitely worth its price. No...it's not an expensive Logitech remote with customizable buttons or touch screen but for Windows Media and XBMC, it gets the job done and very well as a matter of fact.

I'd highly recommend for any XBMC home setup.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good size and weight. Responsive and inexpensive.

Cons: Although it is designed for Windows Media Center, I was hoping it would work with other apps and sites such as YouTube and Netflix. Also, it tends to power on my Xbox 360 yet doesn't do anything else with it.

3 out of 5 eggsSmall, flimsy, difficult buttons

Pros: * Buttons for basically all WMC functions.
* Plug 'n' play - no 3rd-party drivers, no config required.

Cons: * Small, flimsy buttons are difficult to press and hard on the fingers.
* Buttons wear out quickly, requiring harder and harder presses.
* The playback controls are at the top of the remote, but the contour of the bottom of the remote fits best in the hand. The playback controls should be in the middle of the remote.

1 out of 5 eggsStopped working when OS Reloaded

Pros: Worked great when I first built the home theater a couple years ago.

Cons: Replaced the hard drive with an SSD, reloaded Windows 7 Home Premium on that drive - now the remote is dead. I went to the Rosewill site and downloaded the driver, but it did nothing to fix my problem. Useless junk

Other Thoughts: The Newegg site says this unit needs no drivers. Is that true?

4 out of 5 eggsGood remote for the price

Pros: - Cheap
- Works with MPC-HC and XBMC
- Immediately recognized by Windows 8.1

Cons: - Included usb cable was too short for the gap between my case and my TV, had to use a longer cable

5 out of 5 eggsRosewill Media Center Remote

Pros: Had this for over a year and still works great. Power button at the top puts pc to sleep. Works well with Media center.

Cons: batteries it came with didn't last long maybe a few months, but batteries that come with products rarely ever do.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Number 1

Pros: Super easy to install on linux and works straight out of the box with xbmc.
You can edit each button under LIRC and change any config under xbmc..

Cons: The usb cord for the infrared receiver is pretty small. I might have to buy a usb extention.

Other Thoughts: Veyr nice.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: -Great replacement to a wireless keyboard with an HTPC
-Out of the box most buttons do what they should in xbmc(I re-mapped some of the odd buttons to functions such as bringing up the context menu
-the number buttons can actually function as a keyboard (works like texting with an old flip phone)
-Buttons are perfect for my medium sized hands and seem to be for everyone else who uses the remote(s)

Cons: At no fault of the remote, sometimes coverage is a little spotty. You have to make sure you aim it in the right place. Thankfully I had a couple of extra long usb extension cables so I can get the IR receivers in exactly the right place .

Other Thoughts: I ordered two to use on two different openelec(xbmc) htpcs, one in the livingroom, one in the bedroom. They replaced a single wireless keyboard that traveled between rooms. Most buttons seem to do what I want them to do out of the box, the remaining buttons I used a remapper to remap the keys to do what I wanted them to do.
