1 out of 5 eggsWOW what a bad remote

Pros: Some of the buttons work

Cons: Only some of the buttons work with Kodi/XBMC (windows), no out of the box functionality for Linux based Kodi/XBMC.

Other Thoughts: Bought with the intentions of using with a Linux based Kodi/XBMC setup. Does not work out of the box.
Tried to use with a different Windows based Kodi/XBMC setup for client. It says its a RC6 Remote, its not. Used Eventghost to remap the half of the buttons that would work. Had to remap the "Green Windows button", play, stop, pause, FF, RR, Skip+, Skip- to other buttons. This Remote throws random codes for some of the upper buttons. Its just impossible to pin down what its going to throw.

If you want a controller that will throw consistent and known RC6 signals do not get this remote. The receiver isnt that great for Linux, the remote is horrible for Windows. The only thing its got going for it is that it came in a sturdy box.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Made for WMC, and works just fine.
This is meant to be a relatively low cost remote control, and it fulfills my expectations.

Works in Linux Mint, Xbuntu and Ubuntu
Works with Raspberry Pi-2
The IR receiver also works with all other RC6 iR devices, such as the MicroSoft model 1044 wireless multimedai keyboard and model HA-IR01SV (TSHA-IR01)

Cons: This isn't a gold plated MIL spec device.
It's a low cost RC6-standard remote control and IR receiver.

Other Thoughts: I bought another "similarly" priced remote, only to find out that the "other" remote won't work with my Microsoft RC6 wireless keyboard device (like my old model HA-IR01SV (TSHA-IR01) remote control does).

Kudos to Rosewill, -and you should mention it's RC6 iR compatable

4 out of 5 eggsWorks perfectly with WMC

Pros: Provides all the functions you need on Windows Medica Center. Also very inexpensive so those are the pluses.

Cons: buttons are small and has no lights so in the dark if you are watching TV it is difficult to use.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: It works great for me in Linux, and it was a decent price.

Cons: Would be nice if the buttons lit up so I could see them in the dark.

Other Thoughts: Used with XBMC/Kodi in an Arch Linux media center.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works good and needed an black remote so it would color match all my other remotes.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I installed an internal IR receiver in my HTPC (I had to drill an unobtrusive 1/8" diam. hole above the front USB port in the LIAN LI Model PC-C37B chassis so receiver could see the remote) and didn't use the IR dongle that came with the remote.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great on both Linux and Windows

Pros: Great remote for Windows Media Center, as well as Winamp, K-Lite and other Windows multimedia programs. Also works well with Linux.

Cons: Most, but not all, of the buttons work properly with Linux. This is a problem with most MCE remotes on Linux, but again, the Rosewill RRC-126 has only a few buttons that don't work.

Other Thoughts: Not exactly sure what "Netflix Function" means. I'm currently using Windows 7 only on my main PC and there is no mention of Netflix in Device Manager or anywhere else. But to have a MCE remote work so well with Linux is rare.

4 out of 5 eggsRosewill RRC-126 Windows Vista/Window7 MCE/Windows 8 MCE Infrared Remote Control with Netflix Function

Pros: Inexpensive
Easy installation

Cons: Wireless receiver a bit clunky for front panel installation
USB extension cable too short

Other Thoughts: Bought this to add to an HTPC that I put together from spare parts. The remote works well. The wireless receiver is a bit too large for front panel installation - it protrudes a bit too far, and, in my case, would likely get knocked off as this HTPC resides near a heavily used X-Box that my teenager and his buddies use. I used the USB extension cable instead, connecting to the rear panel and stowing the receiver on the top of the PC. The extension cable is way too short, and requires a little "aiming" since the PC resides on a lower shelf of an entertainment unit. Other than that, though, the remote works perfectly with Windows Media Center. I had to disable a setting on the X-Box to keep the remote from operating the X-Box - no problem though. Overall a great remote for the price, and a nice addition to a low priced HTPC.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat remote! Very happy!

Pros: Slim, ergonomic, very affordable, works great for pc or Xbox!

Cons: I'm hard pressed to find a 'con' but I suppose the clear IR LED sticking out of the end makes it look cheap, as opposed to the smoked window most remotes have.. Nothing's perfect but no lost points!

Other Thoughts: I read the reviews stating it's cheap and the buttons are hard to press, but in my experience this remote is fantastic. The quality is better than I had hoped for and I have had no issues with it whatsoever. Works with WMP and XBMC, and Xbox 360. Remote has a few buttons my other (Hauppauge) didn't like "video, radio, pictures, music and DVD menu". For ~$12 I didn't expect this remote to be excellent but I was wrong, I think it's great and I would buy another one!

3 out of 5 eggsRosewill MCE Remote

Pros: It works no problem with MCE or XBMC on Intel NUC.

Cons: You must face the remote directly to the receiver; otherwise, it won't work. OK button is hard to press, sometimes you press other arrow buttons when you press OK.

Other Thoughts: Why not make the remote bigger and separate the rubber buttons.
