Forty years ago in Star Trek, Lt. Uhura wore a bulky piece of machined aluminum in her ear for hours at a time; I bet she would have killed for a modern Bluetooth headset!

Lightweight, its rechargeable lithium polymer battery still gives you eight hours of continuous talking time, or a whopping one hundred eighty hours of standby time. You can wear it over either ear, and the noise-canceling microphone makes it easier for others to hear you, and not the environment around you. Quick-pairing lets you set up with a single touch, and you can quickly switch between two Bluetooth devices. It controls volume, answering/ending a call, voice dial and last number redial on devices with those features.

Check it out for yourself. We'll be right here when you're done.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent - before 3.5 years

Pros: Comfortable and good quality. No one ever complained that they couldn't hear me well, nor did I have difficulty hearing others.

Cons: I'm writing this review close to 3.5 years after I originally bought this - and just recently has it started to break. First, the part that hooks over the ear came apart (but I taped it back). Then the button to connect/hang-up/pick-up broke in half although it still kind of works.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it has been an excellent bluetooth headset for many, many car rides. But at least mine clearly has a lifespan of only 3.5 years. Perhaps that's a good lifespan - I don't know - but as I look to replace it, I'm considering buying the same again even if it breaks after another 3 years since I was so satisfied while it did work.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks for a while

Pros: Clear sound and easy to connect.

Cons: The clear rubber piece at the end always comes off and I have to super glue them back together. I've had two of these actual headsets.

Other Thoughts: Only paid $30 for the last one I purchased... Do not buy for what the price is now if you can help it!

3 out of 5 eggsawful for the car, fine for in home

Pros: works well walking around the house or when there isn't much external noise. The battery also lasts for a decently long time

Cons: Does not work well for car travel in excess of about 40 mph since the volume does not go loud enough to deal with road noise.

Other Thoughts: recommended for at home or at work use, not for use while travelling or in the car

3 out of 5 eggsPlantronics Bluetooth

Pros: It is clear and easy to hear the conversation on.

Cons: The over-the-ear portion comes apart easily

Other Thoughts: I had the 1-yr mfg warranty on it and it had to be replaced for this defect and also purchased extended warranty with NewEgg and again it is coming apart on the last day of the warranty period and replacement will not be given.

2 out of 5 eggsPain to set up

Pros: inexpensive, comfortable, durable

Cons: pain to set up /synch

1 out of 5 eggsvery disappointed

Pros: comfortable to wear, easily paired with my iPhone 5, great sound quality for hearing incoming calls.

Cons: callers hear buzzing noise when I am not talking on a call; very annoying so I cannot even use this headset anymore.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Bluetooth set I ever bought

Pros: - crisp quality
- fits so comfortably
- great sound both ways
- as good as they come
- great design
- sturdy build
- easy connection and pairing options
- Absolutely love this bluetooth set

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: - bought over 10 of these after loosing 2 and getting others as gifts everyone couldn't be happier, I had one wash in the laundry one time and still worked perfectly.

- why did they stop making the 520's, they are better then any other bluetooth product I bought including newer plantronics ones..

1 out of 5 eggsbad experience all around

Pros: looks good

Cons: I was able to pair it to my iphone 5 easily however, the sound quality is really poor. There are lots of crackles and dropped noises on both ends. If I put my phone in my pocket the quality gets even worse.
In order to determine if it was an issues with my phone, I tried to use the device on my girlfriend's iPhone 5 but I coudln't even get it to pair. At this point I figured the product was defective and decided to return it.
However, NewEgg said that they cannot accept the return as I don't have the orginal box it came in. It doesn't seem like that shoud matter as the product is defective; I sure hope they wouldn't try to sell it again.
So, I'm attempting to contact the manufacture to see if they can help. Thus far my experience with Plantronics products and NewEgg has been good but if I can't get this issue resolved I will reconsider any future purchases from either company.
