5 out of 5 eggsJust. Plain. Awesome

Pros: Having a touchscreen with a tactile and real keyboard to slide out is phenomenal. I switched to this from a Palm Treo 680 and it was the best switch I've ever made. HTC, Google, and T-Mobile have got this phone right on the money.

Cons: Battery life is extremely short on stock battery. See other thoughts for a fix.

Other Thoughts: There's an aftermarket battery that works extremely well by a manufacturer called Seidio. It has been reviewed and documented on Gizmodo and Engadget and it is a monster of power. Seidio ships these things for ~$50 in a matter of days.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Phone

Pros: A Sturdy and tough phone its amazingly quick and easy to use. No cost apps, so no major bill for just a few essential programs, as is the case with apple. With a 16 GB card I always have more then enough music for a long road trip and with my car/usb charger I never worry about my battery either. Best phone I've ever had.

Cons: No flash for the camera, and for the price a few mega pixels to low maybe.

Other Thoughts: New Programs everyday always keep you busy even with there's nothing to do. I work in retail and find this thing a life saver during slow hours with nothing to do. My girl friend got one with no tech experience and had hers all customized with in a day. All around a great phone and platform, cant wait to see how it grows as the community builds, just one of the benefits of an open source system.

1 out of 5 eggsIt was not ready for launch

Pros: The phone itself is revolutionary for the simple reason of having Android OS that is still far behind every single OS out-there in the Smartphone/PPC world.

Cons: Battery life sucks; hardware creaks, squeals, etc. Poor design - it takes about 20-25 days to start creaking and making noises. Screen tents to break on its own, I replaced 5 units under 14-day replacement warranty that each unit came with. All the problems the same. No way of storing apps onto the memory card, no customizing whatsoever - they say it is OPEN - maybe to some programmer geek that knows linux but not to the average user, Tmobile data plan is just not worth it - 5 times slower than ATT and it costs as much as ATT Data plan...

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE - end of the story... For this money I would get Nokia N85 rather - or if you are touchscreen junkie than go with Touch 3G (non-Viva), HTC Touch Pro, TytnII, Cruiser and even iPhone is better than this thing.
I forgot to mention I liked the idea of Gmail/Google services integration - now, I am waiting for HTC running Android - it will be for another yeatr but once it comes out it will be something!!!
