Please read the product description carefully for all unlocked cell phones.

Some unlocked cell phones sold by Newegg may have previously been locked to a specific carrier. A carrier-locked cell phone may often have carrier-specific applications and branding. Some of these applications cannot be unlocked and/or may not function with a different carrier. Also, applications requiring a data plan may result in data usage charges from the original carrier.

In addition, the cell phone box may arrive unsealed and the cell phone may appear previously handled. The unlocking procedure requires unsealing the box and manually handling the cell phone. In this case, the cell phone should not be considered “tampered with” or “defective”.

4 out of 5 eggsDead Simple

Pros: Dead simple. Works well on Rogers in Canada.

Cons: I didn’t get an English manual in the box just a quick refferance sheet, however phone was simple so this wasn’t an issue. Battery indicator is not accurate you must charge it overnight to get a full charge even after first use.

Other Thoughts: I picked this up and use it with an international sim (pay as you go) on Rogers in Canada. I needed an alternative cell for family use only and it works well.

4 out of 5 eggsBarebones speakerphone

Pros: Got this to get away from the radiation of my old Pantech c3b. Sufficient for my needs.

Don't expect your expectations to be exceeded. A basic phone. Really basic.

Cons: Poor battery life for a modern device.

Other Thoughts: Worth $25

3 out of 5 eggsMotorola F3 Review by eXpert!

Pros: Motorola F3 Review by eXpert!

I got it purely to check out the LIQUID PAPER DISPLAY that stays alive even without a battery in, as it uses almsot no juice - it was true!
- This simple Phone has a lot going for it:
ring tones, Vibration, Voice prompts, MSG alert, text msg. abeit, weird fonts and a superb speaker phone too.
it even has agenda and alarms as well - way cool! :-)
- It;s meant for 3rd world recipients and the battery - because the it;s a low use of juice due to liquid paper screen etc - lasts like fore-ever and for ever. I lent it to a Gal Pal who talks day and night on the cell and it never failed her at all. So that real-world test was a good one.
At this low price, it is an OUTSTANDING phone for PHONE USE

Cons: It real world testing lent to day & night non-stop user
we discovered only one draw back for this phone:
it seems not to have call waiting.
Anyone else notice this?

Other Thoughts: Cool design, fit in shirt pocket so easily,|
nice back-lit and super thin too - it Is an
eye please and fun to use as well.

Pity about SEEMING to be unable to get Call.Waiting to work

5 out of 5 eggsBest phone ever

Pros: Inexpensive
Great contrast
Good battery life
Good call quality and volume
sweet 8bit ringtones (think NES games)
Not an iphone
easy to operate

Cons: None, you get exactly what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace my iphone. This is a better PHONE than what apple makes. Apple does mp3 players well, but their phones suck. The iphone does everything except calling well.

3 out of 5 eggsTerribly Great Price, Terrible Interface, Talk Time

Pros: Low price
Great audio quality
Great speakerphone quality
Good reception
Good standby life
Good battery life and reception indicators

Cons: Terrible, non-intuitive interface
Terrible battery life if you actually use the phone
Did not come with instructions in English
Take too long to lock the phone
Can only display 6 characters of a text message at a time

Other Thoughts: I have two phones. A work issued Blackberry, and a personal phone (the F3). I only use my personal phone for talking to someone, I don't text or do anything else on it. I bought the F3 because I was looking for a no-frills cheap phone for personal use. It's acceptable for what I use it for, but it certainly has its shortcomings. Battery life on it is only good if you don't talk on it, but if you have a conversation on it you WILL need to charge it that night.

This phone got a 3\5 from me losing a point for the following issues:

- Terrible interface
- Bad battery life when using the phone

2 out of 5 eggsDoes not work with Bell Mobility in Canada

Pros: Inexpensive, works well when connected to the Rogers Network.

Cons: Total barebones phone. You have to manually set the clock as well. Voice mail button (push 1 and hold) also does not exist.

Other Thoughts: Does not work on the Bell Mobility Network (I am assuming Tellus as well) because it doesn't recognize the SIM card. Yields No SIM 3-070 message when a Bell SIM is inserted.

5 out of 5 eggsSimplest phone you could find

Pros: I bought this for a family member who broke their phone. They only wanted to be able to make calls and check the time. Guess what this phone does!? (Both, if you couldn't pick up the hint) I honestly believed that this had a coloured screen thanks to Newegg's false description, but quickly discovered that this is indeed a pro, as there is no backlight to suck battery life.

Cons: Screen is a bit hard to see sometimes.
Other than that, none.

Other Thoughts: Dear Newegg, time to change your description:

" The Motorola F3 Bar Phone features a large 2.1-inch (0.68" x 4.2" x 1.8"), QVGA(320 X 240) color LCD main screen for stunning visual effects for videos, photos, messages and navigation."

To the people who left negative reviews about it being 'too simple', I don't know what you were expecting ....

1 out of 5 eggsspend a little more

Pros: Bought as a replacement for my parents who live almost 300 miles away as an AT&T cell phone replacement as they did not have insurance on their cell phones and they were told that they would have to extend their contract if they were sold 2 for $60 each, these cell phones did work right off the bat.

Cons: Cheap, they feel cheap, the display is large but looks just like a calculator with no color, no real features, I'm actually surprised it vibrates.

Other Thoughts: I recently switched from T-Mobile to StraightTalk and am now paying half of what I paid with better quality, no droped calls, on Verizon's Network, 1000 minutes and texts + internet for only $30 per month, oh did I mention no contracts? Seriously, these companies sucker you in with nice phones then lock you in for a two year contract to pay an extra $30 to $60 for internet on top of everything else such as your minutes and texts. In the mean time you're paying $90 a month just so you could show off your new iPhone, it just doesn't make sense to me, I'd rather just carry a backpack with my laptop and have a real computer with me. Same reason why when women can't really afford to buy anything, when Christmas comes around, they want a coach bag or something similar to make themselves look as though they have money. Or when a guy goes out and buys a Mercedes, you know the type, has his own hair stylist lol.. Just sickens me :D
