1 out of 5 eggsINTERFERENCE

Pros: Excellent sound quality, These headphones are great for an audio enthusiast due to the software they use. You can have 8 different presets with custom adjustable sound frequencies and several other sound/mic options.

Cons: These headphones severly lower the quality of my wifi connection (wireless g microsoft adapter on my xbox360). I have the xp500 reciever sitting about a foot away from the xbox and i get poor wifi performance and occasional dropped connections even if the headphones are off and the reciever in standby mode. I verified this by watching netflix on my xbox and movies wouldnt load or load very slowly, as soon as i unplugged the usb cable for the headphones from my xbox everything loaded fine with no dropped connections. I tried using different channels on my router that didnt help.

Other Thoughts: WHY DIDNT THE HECK DIDNT TURTLE BEACH MAKE THE XP500 RUN ON THE 5GHZ BAND (THE WHOLE REASON THEY DID WAS BECAUSE OF INTERFERENCE ISSUES LIKE THIS) LIKE ALL THE OTHER NEW XBOX WIRELESS HEADSETS THEY MAKE !

4 out of 5 eggsLove them

Pros: Great sound, Comfortable,wireless

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I wouldnt put it in the cons section but just a warning that took me a few days to figure out. I bought this for a wireless PC headset/mic. It only comes with audio in. the manufacturer should make a mic out to plug into comp. so u can wirelessly chat back. the only way to use the mic on a comp is to plug in a cable turtle beach makes that goes from the headset to your mic plug in on your comp (which defeats the purpose or wireless). Unless you have bluetooth built into your comp. I was more excited to find a headset that I could use for cell/xbox/ps3/comp that i didnt fully check all features. I think it was a basic feature over-looked by TB to not have a mic port on the back of the base unit to plug into your comp.

5 out of 5 eggsOut standing headset

Pros: Amazingly clear sound, On bf3 i'm still blown away when a jet or helicopter flies over head. The many different options are a great feature, on skyrim i have a different set up the bf 3. The 7.1 is amazing.
I've owned around 6 headsets now, and i can easily say these are the most comfortable, and the best sound.

Cons: Not really major ones, when i first got them, they had a bad RF connection with my wireless router, but it went away, hasn't happened since.
The volume control irritates me off though, ill hit it sometimes completely turning it down. it should be a press button rather then a wheel

Other Thoughts: overall amazing set of headphones, works for ps3, xbox, and pc! if you have the money, they are the best out there

4 out of 5 eggsBest headphones I've owned

Pros: Lightweight.
5.1\7.1 Powerful.
Well endowed with features
Bluetooth wireless (up to 2 devices)
Nice "dock" on wireless station.

Cons: Loose-fit for small heads.
EATS. BATTERIES. ALIVE.
Bluetooth sometimes lazy to connect.
Construction feels a little cheap.
Expensive

Other Thoughts: I received these as a gift for Christmas of 2011, and I've loved them since. They're expensive, but *mostly* worth the price. I'd say these are $180 headset, not $250+.

The headset is fairly lightweight--you won't notice it after hours of gaming--the earcups eventually start making my ears sore after a few hours, but you can't tell the headset is, well, on your head.

It has bluetooth on it, which will connect up to two devices. It also has TOSLINK passthrough, which is great, because I connect it to a 5.1 surround system. Combined with a 3-way optical splitter, it provides audio for my PC, PS3, and Xbox.

I'm very pleased with the product, and would highly recommend it--as well as eight rechargeable AA batteries. Thing consumes batteries at a rate of 2 every ten hours.

As a side note, sometimes the bluetooth puck and the bluetooth reciever in the headset take a while to connect (30s+), and sometimes it just doesn't connect, which requires power-cycling the BT puck.

1 out of 5 eggsNice product but

Pros: Its "wireless" with awesome huge speakers with outstanding sound quality. With the ability to change settings on 8 different preset is far beyond any other headset out there. I've listened to the Dre headset but I would preffer this one. Sync to your iphone or other device and there you go......

Cons: Well immediately after i received and hooked up the headset it didn't work properly. Online players couldn't hear me. Yes.......I've read the instruction manual 10 time and went through the procedure multiple times and nothing. Turtle beach support suspected it was the mic itself, but waited another week for the new one. Then guess what? Same thing......I'm having a replacement coming here soon so until then it's only getting an egg for rating.

Other Thoughts: Turtle beach should come out with a rechargeable lithium battery in the headset instead of the AA/AAA batteries. Maybe this way, we can just plug the headset with the charger when done using it.

3 out of 5 eggsRMA

Pros: Being able to be on hold on the phone and still game and switch back and forth was awesome. Sound was good and distance was decent.

Cons: You have to remove the chat pad to use this. It does not come with a cable to manually plug them in or the xbox adapter so if you don't want to use or can not use fiber you are out of luck. For 250$ it should come with all of the necessary cables and adapters

Other Thoughts: On the home page it does not state this is a non refundable item. You have to KNOW to look on page 3. After fighting with newegg I get a store credit. I feel like I was robbed. I bought this xbox version instead of the purple ps3 version for cheaper so I would not need to buy anything else for it to work. I called Newegg and was stuck STORE CREDIT! I feel like newegg jacked me and I am upset I am stuck with store credit. I only buy from the cheapest at the time so IF I need anything and it newegg happens to have it then I have to buy from them now even if they are not the cheapest? Not fair and not cool at all. I will think SERIOUSLY about ordering from newegg ever again!!

4 out of 5 eggsNot Bad

Pros: bluetooth, very comfortable, AA's instead of AAA's, and the surround sound is way better than the stereo in the lesser headsets

Cons: the default sound pesets the headset comes with are TERRIBLE but the beauty of paying this this much for a headset is the presets are 100% customizable

Other Thoughts: Once you go to turtlebeach.com/customize and download the sound editor the headset becomes worth the money until then they're not usable for MW3 or the like

Pros: Amazing headset, I've been through three other Wireless and semi wireless (XP41) and this one takes the cake the bluetooth is awesome I listen to pandora through my android while playing BF3, operates on stronger AA batteries and will last for quite a while

Cons: Don't put it right next to your router and everything will be perfect!

1 out of 5 eggsxp500 headphones

Pros: many gadgets and other things that can be easily used within a moments notice and no wires which is nice, sound is meh.

Cons: the headphones dont block any sound from external sources, so if someone is talking to you when you have the headphones on without music or anything going you can hear that person as if the headphones werent on at all. The people who made this product completely focused on the gadgets and not the sound blockage or sound, to me thats what sells the product not these little tricks that save a couple seconds of my time or adjust the sound a little.

Other Thoughts: if you are looking for headphones to just game and have no one in the area making noise then go ahead and get these. if you live with other people and dont want to hear other noises while gaming then look at a different brand. I received this as a present and the people didnt do the research and got a pc gamer xbox cans, which non the less are terrible cans just basing that off the noise canceling and sound quality of the product.
