SONY Playstation 3 Console 160 GB Black

Pros: newegg had the best price, love it. great for bluray and as a streaming device.

Pros: Good console, same internals that make the ps3 great, but just smaller to prevent overheating, not as loud as the old one, and the hard drive seems faster in this one.

Cons: i bought this as a replacement for my 4 year old 80Gb, it Yolded, this PS3 would be just as good as the original, but the only things its missing the i need is the muilti media ports"SD compact flash" and 2 more Usb so i can play rockband 4 ways without a hub

Other Thoughts: its a great ps3, but this slim is like the ps2 slim, took out certain features to make it cheaper, o well.

Pros: What can I say its a PS3, works as it should and have not had any problems.

Other Thoughts: Excellent blu ray player

Pros: Simply put the ps3 has the best exclusive catalog of games available. Not only at this moment but within the forseeable future. The competition has it's good points but exclusives are not it. If your looking for a system with it's own identity this is it.

Cons: I really can't think of anything wrong with the system itself.. If anything the recent psn outage does rear it's ugly head... on the other hand they've since upgraded the heck out of the security.. bringing it around as a plus to new buyers..

Other Thoughts: I had the choice of either a ps3 or an xbox360.. I don't mainly game on my console.. I'm a pc guy mostly but there are a few games you can't get on the pc and most of them that are any good are on the ps3 add in blue ray.. and it was a no brainer. I don't regret my decision and given the choice again my decision wouldn't change.

Pros: Great games, good design. Much better than the old PS3
Good selection of titles and intuitive interface makes it extremely easy to navigate games, pictures, movies, and all your supported media

Cons: No out of the box linux support anymore (correct me if I am wrong), but not a whole lot of gamers would care about this, just us guys that like to tweak and play with stuff like that.

The Black levels for Blu-Ray playback are a little off, stand alone players do a better job.

Other Thoughts: I have actually been avoiding Sony and all of their products for a while. From the ugly, unstable first PS3 to their overpriced and horrible electronics, I have been dissatisfied with them for the last 10 years.

I finally broke down and bought a PS3 for my "man cave" as to have a combo BD player and a good video game system. Knowing that microsoft will never, ever pick up BLU-Ray for their next gen devices, I decided to make the Leap to PS3. I am so far (read; yet) not dissapointed with the quality, fit, and finish.

Pros: It has a PSP Menu Screen which made setup for me, as a PSP owner, to setup the PS3.
It's able to play Blu-Ray, Music, Surf the Web, Play Games, and View Photos.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I'm not into Eve that much, but my friend keeps telling me there making an interactive Shooter for it on PS3 only. The PS3 Shooter will effect the PC Online part somehow.

Pros: Of course blu-ray is an amazing feature while using an HD Tv! The games are on Blu-Ray Discs so they can be larger than 10Gb like I know Final Fantasy is like 43Gb & Killzone 3 is about 42Gb... Umm, most of the exclusive games are good, but the games that are also for 360 look exactly the same on BOth consoles.. (Wish people knew that) It's also a nice media player :D

Cons: The online service SUCKS!! THe dang thing was down for 3 weeks because they didn't have YOUR personal Data encrypted!!! W*F?! And they had like a security system outdated by like 3+ Years!!!! Another CON is it was SO EASY to Hack! I jailbroke it as soon as I bought it! ( THe hack is patched now tho) Hmm, Personally I don't like the controller, it feels okward to hold & when I set it down on a table or something, it presses eithor the L2 or R2 buttons?! Hmm,, 160GB HDD goes pretty fast depending how you use it, although you can replace it with your own 2.5 inch sata drive... I don't like the XMB ( A.K.A. its OS or dashboard) its not as simple or easy to navigate, kinda takes some "Investigating" to fully learn what everything does, hell theres still some stuff that I'm not sure what it does! The PSN Plus service is a JOKE, its like leasing games from Sony :/

Other Thoughts: The only reason I bought a PS3 was on January 8th 2011, GeoHot released a Jailbreak and the PS3 Keys for the 3.55 firmware, so I bought one and hacked it, it's still hacked & I love what I can do with the homebrew on it! So that's the only reason I bought one but I wanted a Blu-Ray player too at the time :) so it all worked out...

But 3 starts because of the pros and cons I listed, seems like a right amount of stars........

Pros: Huge hard drive space.
Good built quality.
Good picture quality.

Cons: nothing.

Other Thoughts: Perfect for gamers who doesn't like downloading games. 160gb is actually more than enough

Pros: Its the PS3!! Well worth the money. Buy it

Cons: It would really help if it had an hdmi cable included

Pros: Having more than one in the house eliminates - well ok, reduces fighting between teenagers!
