Combining a massive six heatpipe dual radiator design with an exquisite NF-P14/NF-P12 dual fan configuration, the NH-D14 is built for ultimate quiet cooling performance. Topped off with a tube of Noctua’s award-winning NT-H1 thermal compound as well as the new SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system, the NH-D14 is an elite choice for the highest demands in premium quality quiet cooling.

  • newegg Six Heatpipe Dual Radiator Design Providing more surface area, better heat-distribution, and superior airflow efficiency than conventional tower style heatsinks, the NH-D14’s six heatpipe dual-radiator design was developed to provide the ultimate quiet cooling performance in dual-fan mode.
  • newegg Dual NF-P14/NF-P12 Fan Setup The NH-D14 sports a premium quality dual fan setup consisting of Noctua’s award-winning NF-P12 (120mm) and NF-P14 (140mm) fans, both of which feature Vortex-Control Notches, SCD technology, and SSO-Bearings in order to achieve the perfect balance of performance and quietness.
  • newegg Asymmetrical Design for High Compatibility An asymmetrical design that gives more clearance towards the RAM slots ensures good compatibility despite the cooler’s size. The NF-P12 fan can be moved upwards or left off in order to further improve compatibility.
  • newegg Excellent Component Cooling Hanging out at the bottom of the fin stacks, the NF-P14 fan doesn’t only contribute to the NH-D14’s superb CPU cooling capabilities, but also provides a massive airflow over surrounding motherboard components and heatsinks, thus ensuring excellent component cooling performance.
  • newegg SecuFirm2 Multi-socket Mounting System Noctua’s enthusiast-grade SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting provides broad socket compatibility (LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA1155, LGA775, LGA1150, AM2, AM2+, and AM3), and meets the highest demands in safety, contact pressure and ease-of-use.
  • newegg NT-H1 Thermal Compound Noctua's much-acclaimed NT-H1 is a well proven pro-grade TIM solution that provides minimum thermal resistance, excellent ease-of-use, and outstanding reliability.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Strong

Pros: Not as loud as you would think.
Works great.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It fits in a Raidmax Helios ATX-819WB case on top of an Asus z77 mobo and G.Skill RipJaws X Series RAM without a hitch. This thing has been running almost 24x7 for over 2 years without a problem. Good buy for me.

5 out of 5 eggsVery High Quality

Pros: 32C idle, 50C high load. Running a Core i7 4790k 4Ghz overclocked to 4.6Ghz, 16Gig 2400 DDR3 RAM, 500GB SSD, 750 ti video. Getting 60fps on almost all games I own at max graphics.

Cons: This thing is massive; I mean huge beyond any cpu cooling device I've ever come across. And I've been building computers for near 20 years. It's also very heavy. Make sure to have your case laying on its back before you try to install the actually device.

Other Thoughts: Follow instructions. This was worth every penny; however, 2 out of my 4 slots of RAM are unusable now as they're being blocked by the cooler.

5 out of 5 eggsJust as good as Watercooled

Pros: EXTREMELY QUIET
Keeps 8350 very cold
Thermal paste it comes with is great!

Cons: Big
Heavy
May not fit in some cases, and can be to fat for your RAM

Other Thoughts: Install Ram first
Small squirt of Paste
install on mobo out of case then put in case
It keeps my 8350 so cold, like wow. Thought about this or H100i
read about horror storys of water cooling, and had friends have issues, read that this is just as good, and compared to friends, its better after hours of gaming, but not by much of course.
so freakin quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsBig. Quiet. Cool.

Pros: I have had my MB set to silent fans for a year and game 2 or 3 nights a week and it's never revved up to where I can hear it.

Cons: It's really big. Bigger than you think it. It takes up a lot of space in my large case but that's why I got a large case. I had to mount one fan a little higher to fit over the ram heatsink. Not a big deal, only had to move about 3 mm.

5 out of 5 eggsUltimate Air Cooling

Pros: Good as most all in one watercooling setups. I own 3 NH-D14's, and one NH-15 now. I have a Corsair H-100i, a Thermaltake water 2.0. Both of these are dual 120mm radiator units, and the Noctua's hold there own just fine.

Cons: Huge, Heavy it makes installing with tall ram, or closely spaced components tricky. Before you purchase check their m/b compatibility list.

Other Thoughts: Unless you go for more than the current dual 120mm water cooled all in ones you can't beat it. I have a heat demon 9590 amd currently on the thermaltake water 2.0 and it's not enough. I see there are some dual 140mm units out now. I may go that route next, or maybe a custom 360 or larger water rig.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, but big

Pros: - Incredibly quiet
- Keeps i7 ~30c
- Fans are incredibly easy to take off and put on
- Can mount blowing air horizontally or vertically
- Can mount on AMD or Intel

Cons: - Very large, the clearance from your motherboard to the bottom of the radiator is quite low. This thing will hang over your RAM slots. If your ram is tall (extra heat spreaders) it will most likely keep you from using the left two slots (on a 4 slot motherboard). You can still get dual channel setups (slot 1 & 3) if you detach the fan and mount it a little higher. This means you will need to blow air horizontally in a tower to have the fan over your RAM.

- Not the best colors.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your case is deep enough to support its height.
Buy RAM without extra head spreaders that extend their height too much. G.Skill Tridents have fins at the top that make it so they barely fit doing what I outlined in the cons section.

Despite what the packaging says it will fit LG1150; don't stress when you get it. The Intl 115X are all the same mounting sizes.

Make sure you put the back mounting plate on before installing the motherboard if your case does not have an easy access panel on the back.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great on 775 & 1155 CPU's !

Pros: Original install on a Asus P5Q Premium 775 MoBo. Kept an OC Q9650 at a solid 38c idle, and Low 60's at Heavy load. 2nd install on I5 2500 w a MSI Z77aG45 MoBo and saw a further drop to 35 idle and 48 heavy load ! Impressive cooler and very quiet. Now if I can just get my MSI TFIII R7950's (x2) to run quieter !

Cons: No new info here. Just a BIG Heatsink. Required a creative installation process to install on the Asus 775 Mobo, as it would not fit with the psu in place, nor would the psu install after the cooler was in place in my Antec Mid Tower case. Had to slide psu into the interior of the case and then install heatsink, and then slide psu back into place to accomplish the mounting. This was due to the PSU covering the heatsink mounting screw on the top side.

Other Thoughts: The Q9650 on the Asus P5Q Premium MoBo ran a little warmer as the Antec 900w psu blew directly onto the heatsink as the separation was just 3/16 of an inch between the bottom of the psu and the heatsink,, but even then, the OC Q9650 ran fairly cool. The MSI Z77aG45 MoBo has more of a separation(about 7/16 in) between the PSU and Mobo so the cooler is even more effective now.
