5 out of 5 eggsWorth the money

Pros: Super quiet. Moves a lot of air. Very well constructed

Cons: color is u.g.l.y.

Other Thoughts: Spend the extra money. This fan is worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong!

Pros: Have been mounted in a push/pull setup on a Corsair H50 since 3 years and fans are still very quiet and keep my i7 960 chill.
My pc run 24/7. These fans have more than 26 000 hours and they don't show anything bad.

Cons: Like everybody already know, this brownish color his kind of (meh...)

Other Thoughts: These fans worth every penny.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet

Pros: Quiet

Cons: Not PWM but minimal problem with blue resistor adapter. Expensive (but I'd buy more)

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these are a silent PC project... no regrets so far.

Other toughts, can't fault Noctua for this but I did have to drill out the 120mm mounts on the front of my HAF 912 case to use the supplied rubber mounts.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fan

Pros: Awesome fan, dead silent even without the low noise adapters, pushes lots of air, has good pressure.

Cons: Colors. I wish Noctua would release these fans in all black or some other color scheme that didn't look terrible.

5 out of 5 eggsSilent as the Grave

Pros: I've owned one for well over a year and was very impressed at how much air this fan moves compared to its noise level. I just bought another one so I could move things around and get two of these suckers in a push-pull configuration on my H80i.

It's really simple: You will not hear them if they aren't right beside your ear, even at full power. Also, they will move as much air as some stock fans at 75%-100% power (without sounding like a power tool).

Most of the air flow without any of the noise? Sounds like a win-win to me.

Cons: It's a pretty big chunk of money to pay for something that moves air. Not saying it's not worth it, though.

Other Thoughts: The colour scheme is different. I don't mind it because I don't spend all my time looking at my fans. Sure, I would prefer a red LED but really I don't care. It's unique to Noctua and that's something.

It comes with very good self-threading screws if you're going to do that. The H80i comes with very long screws to attach the fans to the radiator so I just used those and used the self-threading screws on another fan I was getting as well.

I also used one of the resistor cables on the other fan. I don't know who would need to further reduce whatever noise is left but if you DO want to get absolutely inaudible fans, you can use one or both of the included resistance cables. That's something you would want to put on something like a Hyper 212 for a home theater just to supplement something that almost works perfectly well without forced flow to begin with.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Dead silent. I cannot hear them at all.
At first I thought the fans were dead, as I didn't here them start up, but after checking, they were working just fine.

Cons: Cable is a little short, but that's remedied easily by using the adapters (which you should use anyway)

5 out of 5 eggsBEST CASE FAN HANDS DOWN!

Pros: Moves a ton of air at no more than a whisper!

Cons: Extremely ugly!

Other Thoughts: I purchased this to go in the front of my Antec One gaming series tower. This thing moves a TON of air and is extremely quiet. It's just ugly, but that was fixed with some black satin paint :).

5 out of 5 eggsNot sure if I still have my computer

Pros: This fan is great. I can't even hear my computer any more. It also blows an impressive amount of air for a case fan of this noise level.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I keep having to look under my desk just to make sure my computer is still there. Someone at Noctua knows their stuff.

5 out of 5 eggsHighly Recommended

Pros: Anti-vibration mounting.
Fairly long wires with attractive insulation.
Wires with inline resistors included to reduce speed.
Push a good amount of air.
Lifetime warranty!

Cons: High price, but you get what you pay for.
The color is a bit ugly--although it makes them stand out from the average fan.

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these on 9/19/2011 to replace some cheap, noisy case fans and they remain virtually silent to this day.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case Fan Nothing Special for CPU Cooler

Pros: Extremely quiet
Comes with different adapters to limit the fans RPM and thus db level
Rubber mounts
Pretty solid overall for the price
Great case fans

Cons: Doesn't cool effectively enough to utilize as a heatsink fan for your CPU.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking to add these to your case, I would have to say that these fans (for 120mm's) are some of the best you can buy. Specifically, if you're looking for a solution that will not add a lot of noise to your setup.

With these you can add as many as you desire, without really increasing your noticeable db much at all. I ended up adding two to my case, on top of the 2x240mm fans and 1x120mm I already had and my system is still very tolerable.

However, if you're looking to add one of these to aide in cooling your chip/heatsink, then you should consider other options. Its performance in cooling my chip was very lackluster at best. If you're not overclocking or only doing mild overclocks then you could probably get away with it. But, if you want to really push your chip, you're going to need something better.

Just check the RPM and CFM stats, it doesn't spin fast enough or move enough air to keep a highly overclocked chip cool. They can say what they want about the blade design, it still doesn't move enough air, evident by the CFM.

Depending on your setup, I would say anything past a 4.5GHz clock will require a better fan, or two in a push/pull configuration.

This ran about 10 degrees hotter than the old cpu fan I had replaced it with. That's in gaming, I wouldn't even run the fan with Prime95 stress.
