2 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Nice cooler

Cons: now the biggest con you can only mount this on amd with the air flow going up and down so to the manufacture MAKE IT RIGHT AND SO IT CAN BE MOUNTED WITH AN AIR FLOW THAT GOES SIDE TO SIDE LIKE THE FIRST ONE OF ITS KIND YOU EVER MADE THAT STILL WORKS BETTER THEN ANYTHING YOU OFFER TODAY

Other Thoughts: still a decent cooler running fx8350 idle temp as low as 16c and the highest ive seen so far is 43c

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Cooler

Pros: -Fantastic cooling
-Super quiet
-Pre-applied thermal paste
-Very easy to mount

Cons: -Cannot use your own fan(s)

Other Thoughts: This cooler is amazing, and should not be overlooked if you are in the market for a cost-effective cooler. My chip idles at around 20-25 C, and, when all cores were maxed out at 100% while I re-encoded about 10 GB of video files, only peaked at 55C.

4 out of 5 eggsCools i5-4670 great, RAM Bank #1 clearance issue on MSI Z87-G55

Pros: Cools my Intel i5-4670 quite nicely. Temps around 40C to 45C when playing World of Warcraft.

Fan comes off easy with using a flat bladed screwdriver to gently release the tabs gripping the cooler and snaps back on easy.

Comes with Arctic grease already applied. Fan is quiet.

Cons: On my MSI Z-87-G55 motherboard, the cooler blocks RAM bank #1. The top of my G.SKILL Sniper Low Voltage DDR3 (F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR2) was kissing the bottom fins. So I am using Banks #2 and #4 which works fine for me.

The frame used to mount the cooler is very close to some of the capacitors on the motherboard though there does seem to be a slight amount of clearance.

Other Thoughts: Fit into my ThermalTake Chaser A31 case nicely with clearance to spare.

You install the mounting frame first then use two screws to mount the cooler to the frame. Long bladed screw driver will make the screwing down a lot easier.

You must take the fan off the cooler in order to get to one of the screws. I used a flat bladed screwdriver to gently lift the hold on tabs on one side then rocked the cover off. I suspect it would be easy to break a tab if you are not careful or after it has been in use for a while and plastic becomes less flexible.

On my MSI motherboard there was only one way to mount the cooler due to the fan power cord touching another component on the board so I reversed the cooler which worked out fine.

Recommend mounting cooler before installing motherboard into case.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome Inexpensive cooler

Pros: Its quiet and can handle a lot of heat. It also looks cool in my case! temps never get over 55C at full load for my core 2 quad extreme running at 4.1GHz.

Cons: Its big and heavy, it also dose not allow for modifications. Like adding a different fan with a higher cfm or setting up a push pull system (one fan pushing air in and another fan on the other end pulling the air out) your stuck with the fan that comes with the cooler. Unless want to start using glue or tape.

Other Thoughts: Still a good cooler for the money, very quite and it will keep your temps low, especially for 40$

5 out of 5 eggsMy Haswell hums happy

Pros: I was skeptical on ordering this fan since there were plenty more out there that had THOUSANDS of reviews. I decided to settle with this because of its wattage tolerance and the fact that a 120mm on my cpu, 140mm on my case is just ridiculous size of fans, which for me feels a little bit like overkill (you can get great performance out of a smaller fan depending on the heatsink and the design of the fan).

It's blowing a breeze over a Haswell LGA 1150 Core i5-4670 and with it being cool to the touch after installing Win 8, I was very pleased. Will be looking to upgrade to an i7 and stick to this cooler. I'm not an overclocker but it feels like it could handle some pressure if it were a thought.

It was very easy to install and personally didn't require a CPU cutout. The clips snap the bracket in place and then you just screw on the heatsink.

The thermal paste preapplied seems to be fine.

Cons: This thing is a close call to the ram dimms. I image searched this heatsink and you'll realize this is a close shave on majority of mobo's. If your ram has crazy heatsinks that zig zag everywhere, you may want to consider your options carefully with another CPU cooler. I have Mushkin's Radioactive memory and with the yellow heatsinks on the memory, they kiss the frame of this CPU cooler's fan but does not effect the use of the fan none whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I recommend installing this heatsink and fan before installing your ram so it doesn't get in the way or frighten you like it did me =). You have to pop the fan off of the heatsink for installation. Once you mount the heatsink, snap the fan back on then install your ram.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Cools very well
Easy installation

Cons: Fan is hard to remove (required to be removed in order to install)

Other Thoughts: I accidentally rubbed the thermal grease on the box because I had always thought it was solid until it came into contact with a heat source, but it wasn't Arctic's fault so no eggs off!

5 out of 5 eggsARTIC Freezer Cooler is a Total Beast!

Pros: This cooler does exactly what it says it will do and more! On full CPU usage with my old stock cooler it was running at 95 degrees Celsius in a matter of like three minutes. The ARTIC Freezer brought it down to 62 degrees celsius immediately after installation. Works better than I expected!

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGood.

Pros: Size.. This is the biggest heatsink that can fit inside my FractialDesign Node605 case. it does not block anything on my MSI Z77A-GD65 motherboard. each ram dimm is populated with a tall heatsink-ed stick of ram.. no clearance problems.

you can face the heatsink in any direction on the board.
mounting is easy and does not require you to remove the motherboard from the case.

much quieter than the stock intel cooler.
blows air where you want it, and NOT at the board itself unlike the stock cooler.

Cons: pushpin tabs.. i don't like pushpin tabs because plastic is fragile.
got concerned when the box didn't list 1155 as a supported socket.. but it does. newegg is correct..

Other Thoughts: with the stock intel cooler i would hear it ramp up when i first powered on my pc. with this arctic freezer i never hear it. even at 100%
it does keep my Core-i7-3770k. cpu cooler than the stock cooler.. but my cooling is quite limited by my case selection. (node605) i am currently waiting on two more case fans to arrive which will be hot air exhaust. my intel cooler was almost the same temp at max load.. which reflects my case and not the cooler.. the hot air simply cant escape my case quickly enough..
it might not be so bad if i didnt have a GTX670 in this tiny case.. but idle temperature is now between 34-37c.. compared to the 45-48c with the stock cooler..

1 out of 5 eggsFAN IS IN WRONG PL HS IS WAY TO BIG COULD COULD OLNY 2X8

Pros: DO NOT BUY ARCTIC FREEZERER THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE HEATSINKS TAKE DIMM3 AND DIMM1 SO THEY CAN NOT BE USE STAY WITH THE INTEL TEMP STAY AT 89F TO 90F THE ARCTIC WOULD GO FROM 108F,98F 111F AND JUMP TO 124F

Cons: I DO NOT RECOMENT IT
