ARCTIC Freezer 13 CPU Cooler - Intel & AMD, 200W Cooling Capacity, 92mm PWM Fan

Pros: Size.. This is the biggest heatsink that can fit inside my FractialDesign Node605 case. it does not block anything on my MSI Z77A-GD65 motherboard. each ram dimm is populated with a tall heatsink-ed stick of ram.. no clearance problems.

you can face the heatsink in any direction on the board.
mounting is easy and does not require you to remove the motherboard from the case.

much quieter than the stock intel cooler.
blows air where you want it, and NOT at the board itself unlike the stock cooler.

Cons: pushpin tabs.. i don't like pushpin tabs because plastic is fragile.
got concerned when the box didn't list 1155 as a supported socket.. but it does. newegg is correct..

Other Thoughts: with the stock intel cooler i would hear it ramp up when i first powered on my pc. with this arctic freezer i never hear it. even at 100%
it does keep my Core-i7-3770k. cpu cooler than the stock cooler.. but my cooling is quite limited by my case selection. (node605) i am currently waiting on two more case fans to arrive which will be hot air exhaust. my intel cooler was almost the same temp at max load.. which reflects my case and not the cooler.. the hot air simply cant escape my case quickly enough..
it might not be so bad if i didnt have a GTX670 in this tiny case.. but idle temperature is now between 34-37c.. compared to the 45-48c with the stock cooler..

Pros: DO NOT BUY ARCTIC FREEZERER THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE HEATSINKS TAKE DIMM3 AND DIMM1 SO THEY CAN NOT BE USE STAY WITH THE INTEL TEMP STAY AT 89F TO 90F THE ARCTIC WOULD GO FROM 108F,98F 111F AND JUMP TO 124F

Pros: I have this installed on my i5-3570k for almost 6 months now. My room is 24C and as I type this my processor is 33C (@3.8GHz). I have found that I can't hear the cooler running at 1400 RPM so I don't let it run above that speed unless my CPU breaks the 60C mark (which it never has).

Since my original review I have bought a very demanding game "The Witcher 2" and a GTX 660 GPU that gets up to 58C under load (adding heat to my case). In that game, while running ultra graphic settings and my i5 overclocked @4.8GHz, my CPU temp has still only managed to hit 46C.

I only OC my processor for gaming, however I have monitored temps with my i5 @4.8 while idle and my CPU temp stays ~36C.

To add some perspective to these temps; my OLD Pentium4 2.8GHz runs idle at 42C and goes up to about 56C just watching a flash video on a tube site. It uses a stock cooler and is in the same room. (P4 chips did run hotter to begin with)

Cons: Still none.

Other Thoughts: I noticed my idle temps were getting 1-2C warmer so I blew out the dust and temps went back to normal. I only did this once since installing. Keep your fins clean!

Pros: My Minecraft FPS went from 50 to 200 average! Max at 300! The difference in speed and low noise is incredible. My CPU never goes above the threshold anymore.

Cons: It's somewhat big and has limited mount options for AMD. The copper plate on the bottom doesn't completely cover the CPU.

Other Thoughts: For the LIAN LI PC-A04B case it works perfect because there's a fan on top and power supply is on the bottom. So this HSF blows exhaust out the top with no problem. For AMD, the instructions say to place the HSF first and then screw the brackets on. However, I was able to mount this in my case without motherboard removal by loosely mounting the plates first and then placing the HSF in the system. Overall, I'm ecstatic because I was regretting the AMD until I put this bad boy in.

Pros: Works!
Fairly easy to install.

Cons: Last step of installation is difficult while mobo is inside case. It's hard to see if screw holes are lined up.

Other Thoughts: Installed on a Gigabyte GA-Z77 with i5-3750K and replaced stock cooler. Not overclocking yet. Lowered normal operating temps (web surfing) to around 25 deg C from around 40.

Pros: I have built plenty of custom computers. This is an outstanding cooler and near silent with only a 92mm fan instead of a 120 or 140mm fan. It keeps my i5 2500k overclocked to 4.8ghz ice cold. 30s idle, 70 max temp during full prime95 load testing, in a house that is 70 degrees. Great cooler, great price, cant go wrong here and SO EASY TO INSTALL.

Other Thoughts: Get a computer case with a CPU CUT OUT so you can easily install this or any cooler, best thing you can ever do and buy. Great cooler and cools better then many more expensive and LARGER NOISIER COOLERS. THIS ONE IS A MUST HAVE COOLER.

Pros: My current Intel fan was running COD black ops 2 78-86 degrees Celsius. Now runs 45-50. Between my case, power supply, video card, HSF and motherboard I have 11 fans and just eliminating the old stock HSF eliminated 90% of my noise. Overall the stock HSF blows, and not in a good way. I am running a CM storm trooper and it fit inside my case. I am running a z77 sabretooth board and the HSF barley clears the heat armor, could not fit a piece of paper between them.

Pros: I paired this with a Intel i5 Ivy Bridge processor and it keeps it nice and cool. So far this is the only moving part on my entire build and I cant even hear it. This computer build is in my bedroom so that matters alot. Install was very simple and the added thermal compound was a nice touch.

Cons: none

Pros: Very quiet. At max RPM I can't hear it over my PSU and chassis fans. Unit cools my 3770k MUCH better than the OEM fan/sink. Installation was simple.

Cons: None

Pros: Very easy to install (LGA 1155). Keeps everything cool. I haven't overclocked my CPU; I mostly play games.
