V6 GT follows in the footsteps of the revolutionary V8 and V10 CPU coolers from Cooler Master. Designed with a muscular engine look, the V6GT fits nicely with any performance hardware. The V6GT also features new mechanical structure that includes: V-shaped heatpipe array, asymmetrical aluminum fins (which are densely stacked for optimal cooling), two 120mm silent fans with PWM speed control function and DynaLoop long life technology, snap-on cover to conveniently replace fan if needed.

  • newegg Nickel-plated Copper Base & "V" Array Heatpipes The copper base is nickel plated for long-term oxidation resistance and better contact. "Double-V" heatpipe array helps spread out the six heatpipes to fully utilize the cooling fins on the cooler. It also allows airflow to reach each individual heatpipe as opposed to traditional coolers.
  • newegg Densely Stacked Fins Densely stacked fins enhance cooling performance when a second fan is added (additional fan brings higher air pressure).
  • newegg Asymmetric Heatsink Fins Asymmetrical 5 degree tilted aluminum fins are precisely engineered to lower airflow resistance while providing maximum cooling surface.
  • newegg Dual DynaLoop Bearing PWM Fans Innovated self-lubricating bearing mechanism decreases sleeve oil-loss for greatly extended fan life while evolutionary wave blade design provides tremendous airflow with steady pressure. In addition, engine oil cap controls the LED strip with color changing function to enhance cooling aesthetics.
  • newegg Quick Release Fan Cover Tool-free, snap-on cover makes installation of replacement fan simple, easy, and quick.
  • newegg Intel LGA 1155 Socket CPU Ready The V6 GT supports the second generation Intel Core processors in LGA 1155 socket (Sandy Bridge) - a perfect match to aggressive systems.

3 out of 5 eggsStarted well

Pros: Definitely keeps things cool. Looks great. It's very quiet... see cons.

Cons: Over the last month the thing developed an awful vibration noise. It's maddening. Its only about three months old and this thing is driving me mental. I've tried taping, tightening, packing the plastic gaps but nothing will stop this noise.

4 out of 5 eggsLARGE LARGE LARGE

Pros: Quiet and cool, I run a rather mild overclock and this cooler performs under loads. the stock fans are really great, but ten times better if you install fans with better static pressure

Cons: its freakishly large, I had this in a mid tower case, and I could actually press the button on top to change the leds by pushing down on the plexiglass side, it sat flush against the side panel

4 out of 5 eggsGreat purchase, if you have the space.

Pros: Cools VERY VERY well.
Looks great!
About as quiet as other aftermarket coolers or even stock coolers.
Comes with all of the screws and bolts that you need.

Cons: Installing is a pain.
Fitting it into a Mid-Tower case is a bit tough.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm completely satisfied with it. I was a bit hesitant to purchase it at first because of other reviews talking about how loud it is because of the removable plastic pieces. When I installed it though, I noticed that those pieces have to on a very specific way. If they are not installed correctly, you WILL be dealing with some unwanted noise. So be sure to install correctly, and that no pieces more freely after installation.

I had to remove a RAM stick and put it back after I installed the cooler, That's how large this thing is. Don't underestimate how big it is. If you have very little room around your actual CPU, or if your case is smaller than a Mid-tower, this cooler may not be for you. Otherwise, though it may be a tight fit and a bit time consuming to install, I thought it was completely worth it.

4 out of 5 eggsSuper Cool

Pros: The huge heat sink and dual fans on this monster will keep your cpu cool. I am running an AMD FX-4100 overclocked to 4.0 GHz. and during stress testing I only get a max temp of about 60C. That is impressive.

Cons: It is a little loud running at full speed. but you barely ever have a need for 100% fan speed.
It is also just the slightest bit too big for me. it sticks out of my case by like a half inch. so make sure it will fit or be willing to modify your case

Other Thoughts: I considered this a great buy. and the LED stripe looks pretty cool sticking out of the side of my case

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Big for it's price

Pros: For the price for it, it's pretty awesome. Keeps my system cool idle 30C and under a load 45C.

Cons: It's just to big/tall. Had to move my ram because it took up a slot.

4 out of 5 eggsGood cooling system

Pros: My computer was shutting down when exporting video. With the cooler, now it doesn't trip out on me!
Easy to install and compatible with AM3+

Cons: Takes up so much space in the tower that I had to remove 2 memory chips. Covers 2 slots.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: This thing is silent, my case fans make more noise than this thing. I expected it to be at least a little noisy, but there is almost no sound coming from it. My fx- 8350 at 4.5 GHz stays at a constant 45-55 degrees under full load. I would highly recommend this for over clocking but if you can spare a little more change the v10 would be even better

Cons: It was a bit of a pain to get on but not as bad as some you just better have a flat head screw driver on hand to remove the fans to tighten it down, again this is not much of a con because I never put on aftermarket coolers. and also beware that the clearance for ram on some motherboards is very low (around 4.5 cm), but if you don't buy ram with overly flamboyant heat spreaders then you should be ok.

Other Thoughts: It's a good cooler for the money and comes with universal brackets, what's not to love?

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding performance

Pros: I'm using a AMD Zambezi 3.1ghz OC'd to 4Ghz. I use a balanced power mode to under clock the CPU to 1.4ghz when idle. My CPU would idle at around 22C and regularly climb to 75C while gaming. after installing the V6 my idle temps dropped to between 11C and 14C and under full stress I maxed at 31C.

Cons: Had to remove my G.Skill Sniper heat spreaders to fit all four sticks of RAM into the motherboard.

Tension bar was impossible to install without a second set of hands to force the attached screw into the receiving bracket.

Other Thoughts: The installation itself is a 2 person job, which isn't really a problem.

Fit with some room left over in my Cooler Master HAF 912 mid tower case.

4 out of 5 eggsCooler Master V6 GT, Decent

Pros: Keeps Oc'd i7-3770k to 4.2 ghz at 29 degress celcius at Idle.
Looks appealing, nice LED strip that can change colors.
Has two PWM fans that push good amounts of air.
If paired with right thermal compound, your temps when gaming will never go beyond your temperature liking

Cons: 1. Big. Most decent aftermarket CPU coolers are bigger, and I have no big issue with it. Be sure you have enough clearance in your case to put this thing. At least a decent-sized Mid-Tower.
2. Loud. This is the main reason I docked an egg. Now I'm not a noise freak, but if you crank the cooler to AROUND half speed (roughly 1300 RPM), it becomes clearly audible. It is silent up until you need a bit more RMP's for you cooling. I put a headset on, but if you use speakers...you'll hear it.

Other Thoughts: Overall, good CPU cooler for the money. If you are not a noise freak, like me, then go for it. It does sometimes get on my nerves when i need to put the RPMs a little higher.
If you do decide to get it. Invest in aftermarket thermal compound, non-conductive of course. I suggest Tuniq TX-2 or Arctic MX-2, just to name some good ones. It is a good CPU cooler and I say buy it. Replacing the stock fans with something like Noctua's, that would be the best alternative...I might do that
