1 out of 5 eggsCHEAP BUT DOES NOT FIT

This review is from: Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)

Pros: These fans were:
- cheap,
- quiet,
-basic,
what I needed for my case since I have an ANTEC Lanboy Air open flow case, I don't need anything killer. I've never had to crank the original fans in the case from heating issues.

Cons: DOES NOT FIT MOUNTS ON SIDE OF CASE!!!
I discovered trying to fit these in, that its impossible after mounting them anywhere on the side of a case that the 3 pin connector WILL NOT reach your motherboard at all.
THE FIX:
Buy 4 extensions or MOLEX adaptors at $5 each.
COST TOTAL: $30 for cheapo fans.... not ok in my book.

Other Thoughts: Coolmaster is a good company, and I understand that this is a bottom shelf fan, but for clean mounting in a case, the length of the cord is not realistic.

Due to open airflow in my case, you can see everything, So i run everything in the corners cleanly, these fans will not allow that without another $20 investment (twice what i paid for the fans). Thanks for reading.

4 out of 5 eggsThey do what they're supposed to.

This review is from: Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)

Pros: They're fans. They spin. They move air. They work. Had a couple running for a year or so now, no issues. Their actual RPM seems to vary a bit, usually between 1000 and 1100 at 100% power.
Whisper quiet, can't hear them at all.
Their low speed also means they don't really vibrate by any noticeable amount. I had one literally just standing on top of my DVD drive, between the higher-up drive bays and the plastic front of my case, not mounted to anything, and never noticed it vibrating or moving.

Cons: They don't move very MUCH air, but I suppose they're alright for case ventilation.

Other Thoughts: Coming in a pack of four is great since you probably are going to want to put more than one in due to the low airflow.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal Great quality from Cooler master.

This review is from: Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)

Pros: They are Quiet, come nicely packaged, good airflow, and cheap. Also comes with 4 sets of fan screws.

Cons: they come with 3 pin connectors, and no adapters, so if you are going to plug them up to your PSU, you will need to buy the 4 flat to 3 pin fan adapters. I didn't need them, the front panel fan controller I installed with them had both types of output connectors on each lead.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat to do with the Extra's?

This review is from: Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)

Pros: -4 for less than 1
-Works out of the box

Cons: -None for now

Other Thoughts: What is the deal with this deal? When I order these fans, I only needed one. But the next cheapest fan was a $1 more... so for less, I got 3 more fans than I need. Guess that's a perk right? Just finished installing the one I needed. Nice packaging, includes four baggies of screws for each fan. On my rig, the cable is a little... on the tight end. Not really tight, just tighter than my last fan which had a nice long cable that slacked below the CPU heat-sink. This one, is riding across the front of the heat-sink but reaches just fine without pressure to the fan port. Powered up the machine, fan spun right up and quiet. No complains. Will see about life expectancy. The box has a nice, lifetime warranty, label printed on it. So even if it dies, I'll put that to the test while I use another of the 3 extra fans.

5 out of 5 eggsYou're not going to find better fans at this price point, not in a 4 pack.

This review is from: Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)

Pros: All 4 of these were installed in my new rig, they work fine and are not loud at all, you can hear them just enough to know they are working which to me is the way I like it.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet. Simple. Effective.

This review is from: Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)

Pros: -Quiet even at full RPM
-$12 for 4 fans
-Good Airflow

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: From a pure functionality standpoint, this is absolutely the best way to go for chassis fans. This set of 4 costs less than most single fans of the same quality. Unless you overclock, you really don't need to blow the bank on ventilation

3 out of 5 eggsvalue pack says it all

This review is from: Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)

Pros: these fans move air, are inexpensive, and convenient for very light applications. If your rig is not built for gaming, then these should do for case fans. At full 1200 rpm they are not to noisy. These are good for filling empty fan slots, and connecting them to the power source running at full power. Temporary replacements.

Cons: cheap fan construction, rainbow wires

Other Thoughts: These are just a cheap safety net. Its good to have some cheap fans handy just in case one of my 6 noctuas die on me.
There is not much bad to say about these fans. Objectively speaking. These are not high airflow or static pressure. they are rated at 44 cfm at 1200 rpms . This is a decent fan because it performs as advertised, and at this price cheap construction can be expected. Don't order these fans expecting performance that will tickle your toes, go with noctuas for that.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap, Good Quality, and Easy to Use

This review is from: Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)

Pros: -Nice and quiet
-Medium air flow

Cons: -Short cable (didn't reach from the front of my PC to the motherboard)

Other Thoughts: Can't beat the price for how many fans you get, and they're quality ones at that. 10/10 120mm fans for sure.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for intended use

This review is from: Cooler Master Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators (Value 4-Pack)

Pros: -Great value (4 fans for $12)
-Good quality (they don't feel cheap)
-They move air... I would've hoped so at least

Cons: -Rather irritating hum when at full tilt
-They don't move too much air
-Only three pin connectors

Other Thoughts: All that being said, I knew they wouldn't be as high quality as my Noctua fans. I needed a bit more airflow in my PC and needed two fans to achieve that. I also needed two fans to replace the stock fans in my girlfriends PC that we're building. Perfect, four fans, just what I needed. I lowered the speeds of the fans a bit, and my PC temps are down 5 degrees @ ambient and load. My girlfriend's computer should run a bit cooler and quieter when I replace the cheep stock fans. The airflow and noise aren't perfect, so if you really need good fan's, it's worth spending the extra money. But if you just need to push dead air somewhere else, these fan's should do the trick!
