4 out of 5 eggsnice

Pros: very quiet, does what its suppose to do and keeps my laptop cool, although i havent tried any gaming with my laptop yet. good typing position. overall good buy

Cons: its very big.... to big to fit in any bookbag (which is maybe common knowledge?) but i was hoping to fit this and my laptop in my book bag.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes what it's supposed to do

Pros: Very solid metal metal top. excellent manufacturing and finish. Plastic frame for fans. Fans are very quiet. It cools pretty well even without the fans.

Cons: storage area for usb power cable is too small. Unfortunately the fans are vented on the bottom of the unit so when using it on a soft surface the fans seem to do very little.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's ok.

Pros: It's very well built and durable.
The extra USB port is nice.

Cons: In my opinion it's not worth the price for what you get. I can barely even feel the fans blowing when turned up all the way. My laptop still gets pretty toasty.(Dell Studio XPS 1645 w/i7 and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670) I could have spent about half somewhere else and gotten about the same thing.

Other Thoughts: Don't get me wrong it's still a very nice notebook cooler, but not worth the price.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: When it worked, it was a great cooler.

Cons: As others may have said while running it emits a small humming sound. However, now after running for a year the fans on the INSIDE taper against something(loud and extremely annoyingly) and it works at about 20% effectiveness. It's practically useless now, and I need to look into getting a replacement.

2 out of 5 eggsUltra quiet comes with a price

Pros: Excellent design, good angle, very quiet.

Cons: Severely underpowered. Through a week of constant usage, it only cooled my laptop by about 1-2 degrees.... certainly not enough to warrant it's price. If your laptop runs hot and you want to significantly cool it down, then this really isn't the product for you.

Other Thoughts: If you care about your laptop cooler being very quiet, then this is a great option, but don't expect it to cool a lot. If there wasn't an LED light, I wouldn't know that it was on at all. I don't really care about the volume of the fans, and would much prefer performance, which is not what this product provides.

4 out of 5 eggsDon't risk burning out your laptop - get one.

Pros: I think this cooler may have saved my laptop! I'm running a 17” HP Pavilion pushing an external 24” monitor, Wacom tablet and several other peripherals. The GPU was normally running at 68-72C, the drives averaged about 48-56C and Core temps were 55C to 62C. It was difficult to keep my hands on the keyboard. After a long session I was always expecting to smell smoke.

Now with the cooler running the GPU now doesn't go over 62C, Core temps average about 35-38C and the drives are in the low 40's. As a side benefit, the CPU speed increased about 2% over rated speed. I'll take it.

Cons: The HP GPU fan is in the extreme back left corner of the laptop and the vent holes of the cooler do not extend to cover the fan. I have to situate the laptop slightly off center and slightly forward to allow ventilation of the GPU fan. No biggy though. Putting thick rubber feet under the laptop will also help increase airflow.

Other Thoughts: It's sturdy aluminum construction, looks good and works even better. Why didn't I do this before?

3 out of 5 eggsWorks OK, bueeter if given more power

Pros: USB powered for mobility

Cons: USB powered low fan speed

Other Thoughts: I have a 2 Male USB to one Female USB adapter which I am able to use 2 USB ports to power the unit which works alot better. Especially when running games on my gaming labtop

5 out of 5 eggsWow, this is pretty good!

Pros: After owning this product for about a week I'd like to say that this cooling pad is great! At the very least it keeps my laptop nice and cool when I play video games. In addition to keeping my laptop cool it's fairly quiet, you can just barely tell that it's on. I would definitely recommend a friend to buy this cooling pad.

Cons: Can't think of any.

4 out of 5 eggsnice cooler

Pros: cool's like it it should and very strong, fits my Alienware 17x just right and keeps my two cards in sli cool

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: people that say that this wont cool there laptops need to know how there laptops cool before buying this cooler, if your laptop brings air in from the bottom then out the sides or back this works well for cooling and wont flex when your useing it if your laptop push's air out the bottom then this wont work for you as the cooler pumps cool air up to the bottom of your laptop, hope this clears up so stuff for people

5 out of 5 eggsRight place, at the right time.

Pros: Very quiet, when I first turn on the cooler, I thought the setting was on low, but it was on high. o_O

Cons: The range on the setting is kinda low. (Their highest setting is like a low range on other coolers.)

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my Dell XPS 16, it fits pretty well. I was scared that it would be too big for my laptop, but it's but bad. There is ony half an inch sticking out each sides and about an inch in the front. The cooler's vents cover all the vents on the bottom of my laptop. It definitely work!! Before I before it, my laptop was extremely hot, but after I got it, it cooled it down to a manageable warm touch, just to the left side of the touch pad, everywhere else it's nice and cool. I was lucky to get it at a discount with free shipping, fifty bucks total (deal ended 1 hrs later with a sold out message, I think I bought the last one). Very happy with the purchase, worth the $50 for my $750 laptop ($1100 before discount ^_-).
