Pros: Looks nice. Well made. Fits my 17" macbook pro perfectly. Worked straight out of the box. Cools even without the USB fans on. Variable fan speed keeps the noise down. Angled design makes typing on desk easier and more comfortable.

Cons: I couldn't get the single large fan model in silver. Might be a bit unwieldy for lap use.

Other Thoughts: I use my macbook pro as a desktop replacement for my work and it's on almost all the time. The heat build up causes the battery pack to fail, and I'm now on my third one, which at $130 a pop is really annoying. My laptop ran noticeably cooler as soon as I put it on the Zalman ZM-NC2000. Even without the fans on, the macbook is much cooler to the touch. The fan speed control lets me turn it down when I am working quietly, but I can turn it up to full when I leave my computer churning away on rendering a video for a couple of hours. The rubber strips on each side hold everything nice and secure and keeps my desk and laptop free of scratches which is a bonus. I also find the the angled design makes typing more comfortable. I'm a bit of a minimalist and hate adding unnecessary stuff, but I'm definitely keeping this. We'll have to see if it fixes the overheating battery issue, but I'm betting it will and thus will pay for itself pretty soon.

Pros: Simple and easy to use. Works fine and sets my Laptop at an angle so it's easy to type.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Pros: -Maintains temperature low
- Having the additional USB slot really helps

Cons: The only con I have is that the unit is too big, but I made the decision to get it knowing that.

Pros: Nice finish, and having a real metal surface, the surface itself conducts heat away from the laptop underside in addition to the fans. Plastic models don't have this bonus. Quiet. Substantially lowered HD temp under tough benchmark conditions.

Cons: Comes with a one-year warranty. So after fourteen months (naturally!), one of the fan motors burned out. Shocked to find out that no replacement fan unit was available. The factory probably pays two or three dollars each for them at most, and could have sold it to me for $15 + shipping. But no, they said I'd have to buy a whole new unit. Which I'm not inclined to do. Disappointing life, but even more disappointing that after opening it up, unscrewing two screws, and unplugging the fan's power connector pin from the input, I couldn't buy another fan, plug it in, tighten two screws, and be good to go.

Other Thoughts: Great unit, even at the price, if yours lasts longer than mine. But if it's going to burn out in a little over a year .... might buy a cheap one, haven't decided.

Pros: Worth every penny. It might cost more than others but it is quiet and provides great air flow. My laptop ran hot enough to click off during high GPU use. The bottom was painful to the touch but now is completely cool. My computer fans dont run as much and the overall noice is far reduced from before when my laptop fans would run at max. Fantastic Product. Newegg Great once again.

Cons: A little pricey but spend the money its worth it. Its also relatively big so it wont fit in a backpack. but if youare leaving it stationary like me. not a problem.

Pros: I have used this cooler with a Vaio FZ-290 (15.4") for over a year. It is still being used daily.

It fits a widescreen laptop well. The cooler edges extend slightly past the laptop, but the vent holes completely cover the bottom of the computer, so I feel that it helps ventilation. I see around a 20 C drop on average, sometimes more or less depending on the room temp. I rarely hear the laptop fans go on high after purchasing the cooler, even when gaming or working for long periods of time. In fact, the fan will only go on high if the room itself has gotten too warm.

Cons: The cooler is very large...it took me a while to find a comfortable backpack that fit it easily. Make sure to measure the cooler before purchasing a bag for it.

Other Thoughts: This was a solid and reliable purchase, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone with a large laptop who uses it for heavy work or gaming.

Pros: I like the fact that it powers from the usb port.it's quiet and big enough for a 17.3" laptop,fits perfect.The aluminum top is a plus as well.An extra USB port to take place of the port used for cooling.Newegg shipping was fast as usual.Keep up the good work Newegg.I do most ALL my pc shopping here.Love the quanities and choices Newegg has.

Cons: This 2000 MODEL is great for sitting on a table or a tv stand BUT the cooling exaust fans push air from the bottom,which makes the Zalman not a good choice for a lap position,it would block the flowing air.It would have been nice to have had two or three more USB ports like some others I have seen and had side exaust vents so it would work well without having to add a lap table.

Other Thoughts: I bought the Zalman 2000 because I read it was big enough for my 17.3" screen without having overhang on the laptop.Zalman has a great name for cooling and mine works just fine and you barely notice its there.super quiet.More extra USB ports would have been nicer and side exaust as well as bottom would have been a plus.
I thought it was a bit pricey though but still satisfied for the reason I bought it.

Pros: Works Great On My Perpetually Hot HP Laptop

Cons: It Didn't Take Long For The USB Cable To Split And Stop Powering The Cooler

Other Thoughts: A Decent USB Cable Isn't Much To Ask For

Pros: Just got the USB today and the cooler Works great, even cooling, great build, and nice blue light! Would recommend this over the cheap plastic ones.

Cons: had to wait for usb cable but Zalman was awesome and sent me one.

Other Thoughts: It lowers my HDX16 about 7C to a cool 32C so thats amazing. the bottom of my laptop feels a lot cooler then before.

Pros: Aluminum body functions like a giant heat sink. Cold to the touch, even after 24 hours of constant activity. Core temperatures drop noticeably when cooler is active.

It is also relatively quiet, quieter than most laptops at maximum fan speed.

Cons: Only two fans, with space for four. Price is also relatively high.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. Build quality is excellent, but you pay for it.
