Pros: While the computer still gets hot, the temperature *is* significantly reduced when the machine's under heavy strain.
Cons: None (just a minor flaw listed below).
Other Thoughts: I bought this cooler to use with the infamous Macbook Pro, so that it wouldn't fry when I'm running process intensive applications. The size is a bit too big for the laptop, but it is more of an inconvenience rather than fault.

Doesn't lower internal temps

Pros: Well built. Puts the laptop at a comfortable angle for typing and viewing. Keeps the bottom of the laptop cool.
Cons: Does not noticeably lower internal temperatures of the laptop components.
Other Thoughts: I have an acer aspire 5100 with a turion 64 x2 2.0ghz cpu and radeon xpress 1100 gpu. My cpu idles at 32-38C, and spikes at 58-62C under heavy load without the cooler. I was hoping the cooler would bring down the load temps a bit but they are the same. It might work better if I removed the cover plates on the bottom of the laptop since they have minimal openings to let cool air in. Although it is nicely constructed and makes a comfortable platform to type on, I just don't know that it is worth $45 for the amount of cooling it provides.

Pros: Very good looking quality product.
Cons: This cooler does not deliver much if any protective cooling. After running Everest Ultimate Stability Test and reading the temperature results using the cooler it was only 1 degree C or 1.8 degree F lower then not using the cooler. SO for the price of this I am not sure about 1.8 F less is worth 60.00, I think I could make something for 20.00 that would do a better Job. The airflow was no where near what I anticipated it would be, it barely moved a peice of paper with it on high,
Other Thoughts: Very nice looking and quality made, it doesn't provide much internal cooling But I will say it does keep the bottom of the laptop cool. To bad this doesn't translate to internal cooling.
