Pros: -the computer boots up and remains powered on for over three minutes when plugged in.
-most of the bloatware isn't incompatible with Windows 7 once you use Windows Update to download and install critical updates.
-ships with Windows 7.

Cons: -the computer battery cannot charge beyond 6% under any conditions.
-when unplugged, although the system can boot up, it cannot remain powered on for over three minutes without being plugged in.
-the charger that it shipped with does not appear to be Acer branded. who is "HIPRO?" apparently, that's the manufacturer of the charger. maybe that is the problem..
-some of the bloatware the system ships with isn't compatible with Windows 7 once you use Windows Update to download and install critical updates (~96 updates as of this week).

Pros: Lightweight
Fairly fast with good graphics
Number pad a plus
Finish is nice for fingerprints and kids hands on it
Superb battery life

Other Thoughts: I bought this as a backup laptop for the kids and grandmas when they come over to watch our two little ones. I already have another higher end Acer laptop ($800.00 range) and this one is superb as well. Graphics are great and it has been used to watch movies (New Sherlock Holmes and Act of Valor) with good resolution. The sound is great as well. It is much better than my design laptop actually. I recommend this laptop highly.

Pros: - Lightweight.

- Fairly thin when closed.

- Full keyboard + full number pad.

- Not a fingerprint magnet.

- Decent speakers.

- Decent GPU. Intel HD, Minecraft is playable and some side scrollers from Steam, like Dustforce and Super Meatboy. I haven't played around with any graphic intensive games. I've also loaded Adobe Aftereffects and ran it with ease. Probably runs WoW.

- Pretty glossy display.

- Runs cool, and is super quiet.

Cons: - Bloatware, lots of it. Who the hell uses Norton Antivirus?

- The lid doesn't close flat. Maybe this is because I bought the laptop refurbished, but there's about a 5 mm gap between the lid and the body when closed. I don't like this because I usually grab it out of my bag from the back end, and it bends the lid when I do that. That makes me paranoid.

- Only 3 USB 2.0 ports, and no USB 3.0. Might not matter, but something to keep in mind.

- No internal Bluetooth.

- Glossy display is really glare-prone.

- The Touchpad isn't centered on the computer. Not much of an issue.

- Power cord is a bit short, also might be because I bought refurbished.

Other Thoughts: I bought this refurbished/ recertified, so I can't complain too much about slight damage. That is the plastic on one of the lid hinges was cracked, and the LED that lights up the power button doesn't turn on. Big whoop. So far, turning out to be a nice purchase.

Pros: Long battery life (4-5 hours)

Excellent graphics

Light weight

User friendly

Cons: DVD disc drive is a bit flimsy

Other Thoughts: I ordered this laptop last week and since then i've had no problems. It's fast, the graphics quality is excellent, and it's light weight and easy to carry around. The only problem I had upon using it after taking it out of the box was that the charger that came with it did not work... luckily I had a universal adapter floating around. This laptop was well worth the price.
