Pros: The hardware on the computer is great! I love the size, weight, etc.

Cons: My computer continually crashes and gives me a message "Your computer ran into an error and has to restart". I've had the computer for about 6 or 7 months, and sometimes, it will force restart eight or nine times in a row without allowing me to use it.

Pros: Bought to sell in my Computer shop.

Cons: None , at this price

Other Thoughts: Adding Classic Shell start menu to Windows 8 makes it more like 7.

Pros: I got this for my mother as a christmas present, She loves it and says its amazing!

Cons: None at all!

Pros: Low price. Decent Performance for a low price machine

Cons: Starting out with the letter h key malfunctioning, I limped along until the machine lost its book sector and died.
This machine is so basic it doesn't even have an led to show Num Lock or Caps Lock.
It is filled with bloatware.
As some may know Gateway had machines made by HP in the past. Now the company is owned by Acer.
Tech Support is simply terrible.
All in all, I should have spent a little more and gotten a machine that was less frustrating.

Other Thoughts: Cross Gateway off your list.

Pros: Very Fast Shipping
Fast Boot up Times
Very Good Looking
Easy to Use

Cons: (more with OS then actual laptop, windows 8 can be annoying at times)

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my father as a Christmas gift, and he is in love with it. Its easier for him to use, and light enough so he can take it with him on his business trips. Does email, and web surfing like a beast!

Pros: simple and clean layout, easy to configure and use. good for light duty work such as email, word processing, web browsing, 720p videos and such

Cons: low powered but not an issue if using this for what it is intended.

Other Thoughts: simple laptop with current technology can tackle most everyday computing tasks.

Pros: Solid build, everything works as it should. No problems. Not a gaming rig but plenty fast enough for quiet audio tracking / processing with external AD/DA converters.

Cons: Windows 8 is an acquired taste but a quick Classic Shell download works exquisitely well at delivering a classic Start Menu.

Pros: No pros.

Cons: From the first day I got the computer I had problems with it. A brand new computer should not be slow (taking 7+ to load a page), should not have problems using the mouse (would not let me click at times), and should connect to the internet without any problems (internet explorer did not work at all, firefox would take 15 minutes to open, and google chrome would make my computer freeze. This computer is a waste of your money.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this computer.

Pros: For the first six hours, it ran smoothly. The Windows 8 interface should appeal to those who like their iPhone/application layout.

Cons: The trackpad stopped working after the first night. Additionally, while many like application/thumbnail interface, I hate it.

Other Thoughts: Perhaps once I get a working model, I will have time to adapt to the new Windows.

Pros: USB 3.0, HDD space, Price, Build quality

Cons: Winblows 8

Other Thoughts: Threw Windows 7 on ASAP. Also got an 8GB kit of ADATA 1600MHz ram for it, doesn't run at full speed of ram but a noticeable difference from the 4GB 1066MHz that cam with it.
