2 out of 5 eggsBougth it on a Drunken Nigth

Pros: It werks, provides basic Wireless N 300 (2x2) with 20Hz/40Hz enabled.

Cons: After a year of use, it keeps dropping the connection, Freezing, computers have problems connecting, Had to restart it several times, bad latency, slow...

Updated the firmware, it's stable now but I'm going to replace it anyways, for one of them new shinny High Powered DDWRT routers for about them same price of this...

This was simply a bad product from an good Company, glad it's being discontinued, well at least they provided new firmware.

1 out of 5 eggsTotally garbage router

Pros: Fast, when it works

Cons: Tech support is terrible, if you tell them the router shuts off constantly, they tell you that the problem is your firewall and that you should turn it off...lost all credibility with me as soon as you told me that you released a product with a defective firewall that needs to be turned off for normal operation. Reverted back to an old WRT54G running DD-WRT and am so much happier, my "new" router may not have wireless N, but it hasn't crashed yet.

Other Thoughts: Don't purchase this unless you are looking for a router that doesn't crash when transferring files.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsfatal internal software issue

Pros: They do have 24/7 tech support (with a catch....the tech support that doesn't solve problems).

Cons: This is the worst router I ever used. Do yourself a favor, don't buy.

Other Thoughts: This is the third replacement units they sent me. All the previous ones failed within 3 months. Unfortunately the tech support only knows a few steps; when the lower level tech support exhausted all his skills and upper level tech support will come for "support" but just resort to the exact same steps as the lower level. Then at the end he will say the unit I received was defective so he issues a replacement ticket. This is the third unit I received. I am pretty sure it's going to fail again because this model is defectively designed.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for writing your review. We are sorry to hear that the routers you have received have not worked for you. Please contact our Customer Care department directly at customercare@belkin.com so we can work with you to resolve this issue.

1 out of 5 eggsTalk about a bad egg

Pros: Easy to set up.

Cons: Hardly ever works. Keeps disconnecting from modem. Requires numerous resets and still cannot hold a solid connection. Getting a new one today.

Other Thoughts: I guess you get what you pay for.

2 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: Small and does have a solid signal strength when it works.

Cons: This thing was intermittent the entire time I had it and completely stopped working for me within forty-five days.

Other Thoughts: This unit is garbage and I would find something that was more reliable. I am not buying Belkin again.

Thank you for writing your review. Please write us at customercare@belkin.com and we can take care of replacing your product for you under warranty.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't use it for anything other than checking your email.

Pros: Plug it in and it connects.

Cons: Causes extreme lag while playing WoW. Can't run a traceroute to anywhere through it as it blocks it, even if you disable the firewall. Tried it on 3 different computers to make sure it was the router. For some reason this thing hates games. I can't recommend it to anyone who wants to do anything other than surf the internet.

Pros: It looks nice

Cons: It is the worst purchase I've ever made, I wish I would have read the reviews before I bought it, because they all say this is garbage. Linksys for life!

4 out of 5 eggsDoes what I need it to do.

Pros: Easy setup, strong wireless signal in both "N" and "G" modes, Tech Support responded very quickly both times I asked about resolving an issue. Good performance and price.

Cons: None at this point performance-wise. The time it takes to change an item in setup is a bit long. The configuration software provided seems to work only from a computer on a wired connection, but that isn't a major issue for me.

Other Thoughts: I picked this router up as it was on sale at a very attractive price and wanted it so I would be able to use "N" capabilities on some a couple relatively new computers. At first I set it up as a router to check it out. As all was well, I changed it to use as an access point to segregate traffic from my "G" router used as an access point for other purposes.

I did have an issue after setting it up as an access point with getting the level of bandwidth desired. Belkin Tech Support offered some suggestions to correct this, but I had already taken the steps they suggested. I just reset everything, re-did the configuration settings, and it seems to be working fine. As always, one rarely gets the bandwidth a router is rated at, but I get anywhere from 150 to 300 on the "N" band the majority of the time (35' through 3 walls).

Manufacturer Response:

Hello FLJack,

Thank you for writing your review. We are glad to hear that you have found a good use for your router and that it is working out well for you. Please write us at customercare@belkin.com if you ever have any questions or comments for us.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible router

Pros: - Easy to set up
- Pretty sturdy design

Cons: As an access point this router works great but when it comes to wireless signal this has to be one of the worst routers I've ever owned. Took me probably 20 refreshes before this page loaded. I'm not even 30 feet away and have one bar of connection. Even when the thing has a full connection it drops or the connection is so slow that I might as well be using dial up. If you're looking for a router to cover a house and handle more than two people don't buy this.

Manufacturer Response:
