Combined with the access point's draft-802.11n technology (backwards compatible with wireless-b and wireless-g standards), you can theoretically connect at data rates up to 300Mbps—nearly six times the speed of the 802.11g standard.

Don't let the need for power limit where you place your access point. The WAP4410N can use a single Ethernet connection for both power and data, so there's no need to use the included power adapter if there are no nearby outlets. Also, VoIP and video applications won't suffer from other network data demands thanks to the integrated QoS (quality of service) features that give signal priority to voice and video quality.

  • newegg 802.11n Support Compliant with draft 802.11n, the Cisco WAP4410N delivers real-world performance up to 300Mbps and remains compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b devices.
  • newegg MIMO Technology MIMO (Multiple In, Multiple Out) technology multiplies the effective data rate and uses signal reflections to increase the range and reduce "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area.
  • newegg PoE Support With PoE (Power over Ethernet) support, the Cisco WAP4410N can receive data and power over a single Ethernet network cable eliminating the need for a dedicated power outlet.
  • newegg Wireless QoS Capabilities The integrated Quality of Service (QoS) features prioritize wireless voice and video traffic for crisp voice and video communications.
  • newegg High Wireless Security To protect your data and privacy, the Cisco WAP4410N supports WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) and the industrial-strength wireless security of WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) to encode all your wireless transmissions with powerful encryption. With the MAC Address filter, decide exactly who access to your wireless network, while advanced logging keeps you appraised.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Wireless Units

Pros: I have purchased so many of these over the years for various customers and I have never had an issue with them. As far as the negative reviews, I believe people do not know how to configure them properly. If you do configure them properly, they work perfect!

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: Allows multiple SSID's, different VLAN's for each SSID, has a pretty Cisco logo.

Cons: +1 to what everyone else has said. We have about 40 of these in our building on PoE and have to script the PoE switch to reboot every morning to make these usable. Even with them rebooting every day, they will lock up often, looking at the associated clients even if there are only 10 it will knock most down to 1Mbps and won't allow any traffic through, requiring yet another reboot. This is well known on Cisco support forums but a fix hasn't been found.

Other Thoughts: There are very few advanced controls, such as limiting the power output. I do not recommend these at all, stay far away!

4 out of 5 eggsWAP200 replacement

Pros: Good solid replacement for the WAP200 I was using. The N connectivity was clearly preferred by N network devices in my home. Rock solid, works day in and day out. Good signal range on the G and N wireless signals.

Cons: The cost may be a concern for some.

Other Thoughts: I did some testing with my son in our home. We tested the Microsoft Surface, iPods, ASUS Transformer (Droid Tablet), Toshiba Laptop, Dell Latitude Laptops (3x) and an Acer NetBook. Tested well with my speeds tested on 30/5 and then 50/5 on a Time Warner Cable Modem. The Surface and Toshiba clearly worked poorly on the WAP200 (G Only) compared to the 4410N. Other devices had improved performance across the board. Signal strenth worked well.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Quality, Locks up often, Radios stop.

Pros: The capabilites of this is not bad. Supports VLAN, Multi-SSID, Dual Band (Only 1 at a time, not simaltaneous band), QoS, SNMP, SSH, and much more.

Cons: Radios constantly stop working, syslog messages constantly show beacon lockups, resets, and can often never hold a strong signal. There are even times that the unit cannot even associate a new client because it just doesn't have the capability to be stable.
I've owned this device for ~2 years now, and I'm calling it quits. The reliability of it, and the proof of failures it shows just is quite unsatisfying. None of the firmware updates over the years have even helped at all.
The only thing that sort-of helped, was dropping the LAN port forced to 100Mbit instead of 1000Mbit... But of course doing so drops the speed capability down along with it.

It's a shame Cisco would release such a defective product, for the price tag I got it for when it was new, around $250.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money on this device. You will not be satisfied, I guarantee you that if you are heavily wireless at all. With only a couple devices, like a tablet, a phone, it does okay, but with a laptop or desktop on wireless with it as well, it just cannot handle it.

1 out of 5 eggsBoat anchor

Pros: Will keep you busy and you will constantly have users calling you. If you like to talk to people get this.

Cons: Requires reboots constantly. Just stops working and reboot and fine for a time and then boom there it goes again. Great while you are on vacation!

Other Thoughts: Only get this if you do not intend on using Wireless networking.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk!

Pros: When it works....

802.11 b/g/n
Stand alone access point

Cons: This product is complete junk I have purchased 13 of these and out of 13 I only have 3 left running. I have mixed firmwares to confirm that it's not just the firmware that's the issue. The issues are that these device will drop connections without warning, frequent reboots are needed almost monthly if not weekly. They can't handle more than 10 million packets of data without locking up hence the constant reboots. After being left on which shouldn't be a problem they lock up (PoE) and rebooting the PoE light attached or not will stay solid meaning the access point is offically a paper weight

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this buy something better like the WAP321 as a lateral move.

1 out of 5 eggsAbsolute garbage

Pros: Wireless N, POE, Good signal range

Cons: Simply doesn't work. Drops client connections after a few hours to a few days; requiring device reboot. Clients connect, but then connection drops once user does anything requiring actual usage/bandwidth. Some clients will successfully connect but then never get assigned an IP from the local LAN's DHCP server. Completely unreliable.

Other Thoughts: Purchase 7 WAP4410Ns for my workplace and experienced nothing but problems. Opened incident with Cisco and tried numerous recommended setting combinations, hotfix firmware updates issued by their support group, etc., but still no joy. I've tried every firmware update available, but the device just doesn't work. It's a failed product line and I don't understand why Cisco still sells this junk. Don't waste your time on this one...

5 out of 5 eggssolid so far

Pros: I have set multiple units at several clients with no problems. For those who are having to restart manually I hope you know that there is a "Keep Alive" setting on it. I have had to use it on one AP because I am not the one who manages the main switch in the building.

Cons: I have had not found one. If you are having problems with it may be the way the switch that it is connected to is configured.

Other Thoughts: I plan to use them with other clients.

1 out of 5 eggsDo NOT buy these

Pros: Good reception when they work, very easy to set up, multiple ssid support, POE

Cons: 4 out of 6 constantly drop out until you reset them.

Other Thoughts: I contacted Cisco, they recommended I installed logging software and point the device to the ip running the software. Doing this and sending in the log could result in Cisco giving you a beta version of the firmware. NOTE, Cisco recommends software that could contain viruses. Be careful where you get the logging software.
If you have issues, just RMA it right away.
