4 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: Very good price for a wireless N and USB adapter combo.
It works very good together, boost my wirless connection speed and connects almost instantly. I can play my video files from NAS very smoothly without any problems.

Cons: It seems to be interfering with my wireless home phone. When the rounter is on, there's a lot of noises on my home wireless phone. The USB adapter does not automatically connects to the router sometimes and it has to be re-scan the area for wireless signals.

Other Thoughts: I hope this router and the usb adapter will last a lot longer than the last wireless Netgear G rounter that I had.

4 out of 5 eggsMine works Fine?

Pros: - Good Range
- comes with a stand
- looks sleek
- great price

It's perfect for anyone who wants to get into N Wireless capabilities

Cons: - I can't register it!

Netgear says my purchase date is incorrect and when I try to call them there is no option for registering products(from what I am hearing at least). I would like to speak with human beings too, comp voices are all good until I need real help.

Other Thoughts: Overall it is a good product, hasn't dropped connection and everything was easy to set up. It comes with an adapter too! You cannot go wrong with the price either for this combo.

4 out of 5 eggsHaven't met a router yet that impresses...

Pros: Uh, it works, sometimes?

Cons: A huge pain to get it to work, sometimes. I noticed it overheats VERY easily. No active cooling and it gets HOT.

Other Thoughts: It'll do for now.

1 out of 5 eggssubpar wireless router

Pros: compact, no crazy light show, easy installation, good browser interface, could make a good bookend after waranty expires

Cons: Inconsistent wireless behavior, wireless would go down for extended periods of time and then come back (wired network through the router was not impacted by the frequent outages).

Other Thoughts: While the box says WNB2100 the router itself has WNR2000 on the back. Not sure if this identity crisis was to blame but all attempts at firmware updates failed from 2 different computers running XP and Vista. Replaced with a NetGear WNR3500 which works flawlessly supporting multiple wireless devices (firmware updates work too). I don't know if the WNR200 was defective or not up to the job (I suspect the former) but I returned it for another WNR3500.

3 out of 5 eggsDoesn't work well with Vista 64 bit

Pros: When I hooked up my laptop to this combo it worked great running XP (I had to go to the web and down load the software).

Cons: On the other hand when I tried to install the soft ware on my desktop I had issues running Vista 64 bit. I also went to the web site and down loaded, but that didn't work either. After a couple of tries I got it to work, but not without lots of coffee.

Other Thoughts: After getting this working it worked great. I also had an issue with my VOIP and had to rewire my entire net work to make everything work.

5 out of 5 eggsFRUSTRATION to SUCCESS

Pros: It's working now. Steady internet speed test around 17mb/second.

Cons: Could not get router/usb adapter to connect to the internet in the beginning. Signal strength varied greatly. But it almost always connected to router. just couldn't surf the web. The router was blocking the gate to the internet. Why, I don't know. It was unpredictable.

Other Thoughts: The fix for me was: I first used the install disc on my older desktop ( Window XP ). It gave me a specific SSID. After hours of frustration I decided to run my install disc from my laptop ( Window XP ) . The installation gave me a different SSID from the first. Why , I don't know. But this time all worked like a charm. : ) My internet connection is steady and reliable now. And I'm happy. I get better signal strength and a faster connection with N, than I did with G. My signal strength still varies but I don't notice it effecting my internet speed.

1 out of 5 eggsFRUSTRATION

Pros: When I can get the adapter to connect, it's good. Actually the adapter reads a connection, I just can't surf the web.

Cons: I can't get my internet connection reliable. It connects anywhere from 25mb/second to no connection to the internet at all. It's fast, it's slow or it's nothing ?! USB adapter shows a connection to the router usually, but varies greatly. I've tried moving my laptop around the house to find the max signal, but still not dependable. I've tried to re-install, not luck there, I've tried changing settings, nope, latest drivers for USB, and more. Ugh ?!

Other Thoughts: I'm still not giving up on it yet. I want to make sure I've tried EVERTHING. But I want to warn buyers of the trouble this router might be for them. I going to put a few more hours into this thing, but if I fail, it's back to "Linksys" : ) for me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Device

Pros: *Easy to configure
*Nice range
*Speed is great

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: This is a great little router. I had purchased an older netgear modem/router from an auction to work with comcast so that I only needed one device, and the the wireless kept crapping out on me. Fimally gave into getting the separate router...glad I did! This router is fast and does it's job well. I've had it up and running now for about 4 months and it's worked great. I've only had to power cycle maybe 2 or 3 times in that period, but it seems that's a common thing that's necessary with all equipment from time to time.

5 out of 5 eggsWNB2100

Pros: Plugged it in, went in the router and set the passwords and settings and off it went. I have printers, desktop and laptops running off it and it never misses a beat. The adapter that came with it is great when I work on someone else's computer, plug it in and I have access to the internet and my network. Love the speed it has would buy again.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsWorse Router Ever

Pros: It has pretty lights. Admin lets you assign static IPs by MAC (reason I got it.)

Cons: It's junk. My laptop is a b/g and it wont connect 90% of the time and when it does, it drops quickly. If it doesnt drop, the speed goes down to zero within 15 minutes. It also doesnt see the router when you press network scan 3/10 times. All this with the laptop in the same room.

Support is also in a far far away land (no surprise).

Other Thoughts: Run. Run far away.
