5 out of 5 eggsWorks Good

Pros: It wouldn't work with my motherboard but that is my own fault for not checking first. I have used this nic in another server and it is top notch.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: It didn't work with my motherboard but that isn't a fault of the device. Make sure it will work for you before ordering

5 out of 5 eggsnot x16

Pros: good optimziations for VT

Cons: doesn't make toast?

Other Thoughts: Intel docs state this is an x4 PCIe device, not x16

5 out of 5 eggsEasy and Fast

Pros: Have this set up with a crossover cable to a NAS with isczy targets for the VMs. Much faster than the onboard lan, which was also an intel chipset.

Cons: Only 1gig not 10gig.

Other Thoughts: But fast enough. Especially with a crossover cable.
Even though it a x16 card, the connectors are only about x1 size. Definitely not as long as a x16 video card as you can tell from the photo (which is accurate).
