SmithMicro Checkit Diagnostics for System Builders - OEM

Pros: worked for me. i have almost no tech ability.

Cons: none

Pros: Works like it says. Free.

Cons: Pretty much worthless.

Other Thoughts: Came with a como deal. Would not have spent a penny on this software otherwise.

Pros: It was free with another purchase I made.

Cons: Its pretty useless. If i had paid for it I would have been none too happy.

Other Thoughts: It does give some information and performs some diagnostic testing, but nothing you couldnt do with freeware.

Pros: Well, if you don't already have something like it, and you're doing a new build, it's nice to have it to install and do tests on all the basic functions. I bought mine at discount for a combo and payed a whopping $10 for it. worth every penny.

Cons: You're gonna use it exactly once unless you build P.C.s for a living. making it's useful life about equal to the install time.

Other Thoughts: I got to use it for my dad's P.C. as well so I got 25 inutes use out of it after all, Whee!

Pros: 64-bit native!!

SmithMicro had this priced @ $20 per license & you get 3 Licenses for $10 if purchased via bundle here; NewEgg is the place!

Cons: if you're an IT guy like me & disable some services & default programs for security & performance reasons then you might get slightly annoyed when this program overzealously tells you a certain hardware component isn't functioning properly or has failed when in fact it hasn't simply because an associated OS component isn't in its default configuration so best run on new purchases or in response to perceived problems

Other Thoughts: I plan to purchase this as part of NewEgg combo deals whenever possible so that I've plenty of spare copies for servicing others' computers & preinstalling on new builds (I'm starting my own computer business to assist with college, certification & training expenses)

Pros: Pretty simple to use.

Cons: Pretty pointless.

Other Thoughts: If you're smart enough to use the software, then you should be smart enough to know things like whether your computer is connected to the internet, or whether the device plugged into your usb port is actually working or not. I don't need software to tell me if something is working or not. With most things it's already pretty obvious.

Basically, if you know nothing about computers and how they work, this would be great for you... except that the information you get from it is worthless because you wouldn't understand it anyway.

I'm not usually this negative, but I've been very disappointed with this software.

Cons: EVERYTHING YOU COULD FIND SIMILAR PROGRAMS FOR LESS MONEY OR FREE

Pros: Easy to use. Not a resource hog. Good price with combo.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Nothing is wrong with my computer as of yet so I don't really know if or how it works.
