ESET NOD32 Antivirus 5 - 1 PC

Pros: Better than many other anti virus products.

Cons: i have nothing!!

Other Thoughts: Been using NOD for about 5 years now and absolutely love it. All anti virus products do make your computer a bit slower, but this one doesn't come with tons of bloat-ware, it is super configurable, it's saved my machines from being compromised more than once.

Pros: -No annoying pop-ups like Mcaffee and Norton.
-Doesn't slow down computer.
-Game mode (disables any notifications while gaming)
-Simple installation

Cons: -A little on the expensive side (but well worth the $)

Other Thoughts: Best antivirus software I've ever used in my 12 plus years of computer usage.

Pros: Hassle free after setup. Catches everything. Can block malicious websites/downloads and websites not intended for kiddies if wanted.

Cons: Why would there be?

Other Thoughts: I have been using ESET Antivirus for 6 years now and AV 4 was their cream of the crop.

Pros: Fast, even on low end systems
Affordable
App upgrades are always free

Cons: none

Pros: Seems to have a good active protection setup. Doesn't slug down your machine when actively protecting like norton for example

Cons: came with an invalid license key, took about 1 week of emailing back and forth, sending photos of my cd, newegg packing and the contents of the case it came in to get a license issued, even then i never really got a license just a username and password to sign in as to activate. doesn't catch some of what malware bites considers malicious tracking cookies but maybe malware bytes is to sensitive?

Other Thoughts: I'm glad i took advantage of this product on sale, i would consider resigning if the price were lower. - 3 stars for the hastle, thats still a passing grade

Pros: Everything you want in a Windows based anti-virus. Proactive heuristics, runs in the background, light on resources and will advise you to update your system before your system does. Sale price.

Other Thoughts: I would not run a Windows based system without having Eset installed unless that system was on a desert island without a network connection.

Pros: A good anti-virus program.

Frequent updates and good support.

Cons: Not as good as ESET 4.

Was working well with my external HDD before I updated the engine. Now it causes my computer to crash at startup on Windows XP when my external HDD are connected.

Even refuses to recognize them if I wait to plug them in after properly booting Windows XP.

Other Thoughts: Will go with another anti-virus program because of the hardware conflicts. Dissapointed but still a quality anti-virus.

Perhaps these issues are not present on a Windows 7 OS but do I really care at this point...

Pros: Easy to install, seems like it keeps itself update fairly frequently.

Cons: Not sure if it is working, have yet to catch anything...

Other Thoughts: I tried to trip the antivirus by going to some "questionable" sites and download some stuff, run the antivirus scan and found nothing. That is why I question if this thing is working or not...

Pros: Absolutely the best protection that you can get for your computer. Amazing detection results combined with lightening speed make this product perhaps the best antivirus I've ever used (with the exception of Malwarebytes) and I honestly can't find a comparable product anywhere.

Cons: I almost wish I could find something to complain about with this product.

Other Thoughts: I'm a computer major in college, and for the last 6 years I've been working on computers, I can't seem to find anything better. Even my classmates agree that this is one of the best products that they've ever used. Time and time again ESET has proven itself to be a company focused on complete and effective security solutions not only for the general public, but also for businesses and large corporations.

Pros: Best AV on the market.

Cons: None.
