Pros: Cost is significantly lower than the OEM Units. Well packaged units with easy to follow instructions. Units that work are comparable to the OEM units in performance. They dont appear to be re-manufactured

Cons: As other reviewers have stated before. Print quality is terrible on roughly 50% of the units we ordered. As other reviewers have stated "Blotching and Faded prints immediately, worse than the old drum". The Manufacturer backs these statements by stating THEY ARE defective units. Evidently 50% of these units ARE defective, they are aware of the problem and yet continue to sell the units regardless. The recourse is the RMA process at the customers expense (many people will not waste their time and money but instead never purchase from that manufacturer again).

Other Thoughts: We have nearly twenty printers that use these and as a result he have ordered these several times. Retrospectively speaking it would have been about the same cost if we had to RMA all of the DEFECTIVE UNITS we received. To those ordering these for personal/occasional use this is probably not an ideal alternative to OEM products. To small offices like ours they are probably not the best choice either as they cost valuable productivity (something no amount of money can reimburse). Rosewill makes alot of really great products for the budget minded shopper, unfortunately this is not one of them. Hopefully they will fix the defects and provide a product with better reliability.

Pros: This review is a continuation of a review I gave a couple weeks ago for a drum I had to RMA. I went through the exchange process, and the replacement that arrived is great.

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: The first one didn't work right, but I just wanted to say it is possible you'll get a good drum and save some money too.

Pros: None

Cons: Right out of the box, I got the sloppy grey printouts with all the spots like the other complainers are talking about. Called Rosewill and they just said "RMA it". I'm out another $10 to ship it and all the time to go through the whole return ordeal and I probably won't get the replacement very quickly - I should have just bought the real thing.

Other Thoughts: It's a gamble with this thing, it looks like some people had good luck with it, and it is cheap. But paying to return defective junk you buy online stinks. I won't buy any more of these drums.

Pros: Unit cost is low (hence 1 egg) - but this doesn't matter if it does not perform.

Cons: The drum consistently produces a "banded" gray haze across the page (the same that you get from a worn out drum). There are also numerous "splotches" that appear on numerous (but not all) pages. I have run more than 100 pages through the unit, so the problem is not residue from the manufacturing process. The drum is simply bad.

Even with the low price - I've now got to spend time and effort attempting to get a replacement. I'm not sure that I want another of these, and should probably stick with OEM hardware in the future.

Other Thoughts: I've used other Rosewill products in the past, and have always been impressed for the quality - especially given the typically low prices. Hopefully Rosewill will stand behind this and provide a replacement (even though I'm not confident that it will perform any better).

Pros: Newegg's Customer service is stellar

Cons: I received two of these drum units within a few weeks of each other and both behaved exactly the same way: printing almost illegible text with a huge mess of toner splotchily and irregularly distributed over the entire page. The old worn out drum I was replacing performed a lot better than the new ones.

Pros: If you need a drum unit this will work

Cons: it you need a toner cartridge this is not going to work

Other Thoughts: Item name and discription are misleading this is NOT a black TONER cartridge it is a drum unit
