Pros: I bought this for my Laptop for the one that my laptop came with has never worked but that's HP for ya ... I love this unit it works great I have burned over 100 dvd's and haven't had a problem at all and still going strong.

Cons: I can't think of any .. works great

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this product great price and free shipping cant beat it .. :)

Cons: Sometimes is not recognized on the computer with one of the USBs

Pros: none really as mine didnt work

Cons: other than the fact they were not always visible on my xp pro pc, the small size is a problem as you have to press teh disk in until it clicks! not good for ma as im always in a hurry so i prefer the nornmal just throw the disk in and bump close.

Pros: very nice product. no problems, just works.

Other Thoughts: does seem to need the second usb connection for burning, but not for reading.

Pros: I love this drive, the hard aluminum case is and looks awesome. I purchased this when doing a new build because I choose not to install an internal drive. I also needed this for my kids net books from time to time. It took and ran my windows installation great and feels like it will hold up to both my and the kids abuse.

Cons: None that I can think of now, none that I have had to this point (about a month used only once)

Pros: SHOCKED is how I describe what I felt when I opened the package. The drive is much sturdier than I thought. The aluminum is VERY thick and the unit has a bit of heft to it. The USB cable is thick as well (I like solid cables). The tray itself is made of thick plastic, doesn't feel like most slim drives these days. It came with Nero Multimedia Suite 10 Essentials (outdated, but a good bonus for what you pay). The unit also comes with a little bag with optional rubber feet which would be great for someone keeping this on a desk all the time.

Cons: I did not test this enough to say if it will last. My experience with Rosewill has been hit or miss, but it is improving.

Other Thoughts: This was purchased for troubleshooting purposes. It will stay in my tech bag until needed which makes me very happy that it is so well put together.

Pros: This drive works flawlessly from the start. The aluminum case looks sturdy and should hold up well over time. A key bonus is that I haven't yet needed to use both USBs for operating the drive (this includes burning a CD and playing a movie from DVD). It runs plenty fast without any hiccups. Overall, this is a great unit looks to be worth every penny - no need to pay more for if you're looking for a reliable optical drive that only requires one USB slot (typically).

Cons: Limited to horizontal orientation, but this was known in advance

Pros: very solid alum case, well made.

Cons: connector issue. cable has to be held in to work. Either connector is too deep for cable to seat, or poor quality cable. I've contacted Rosewell.

Other Thoughts: plastic case may be better. metal is a bit heavy.

Pros: It is a DVD burner that comes with Nero software that is usable it is very small so can easily fit in ultrabook laptop bag. Solid aluminum unit that not going to break on you when traveling inspite of the attempts that airline baggage handles make to break things. Cable is about 27" long so can put in convienet place on desk instead of having to place right in the way. It is much cheaper than trying to replace the DVD burner in a laptop and much easier too. Nice black brushed finish

Cons: Requires 2 USB ports and many ultrabooks only have 2 ports so either have to use a powered hub or not have anything else hooked up at the same time and I prefer to use a wireless mopuse as opposed to the touch pad.

Other Thoughts: worht the investment inspite of having to use two ports for it
