Pros: Version B drive for $27, need I say more? At one time you could get a Version B anywhere but now they are a lot more scarce.

Cons: A day after I ordered Newegg discontinued the drive. Looks like I may have got one from the last batch of Version B drives ever.

Pros: I must have bought one of the last ones since I just got it and now it's discontinued ... IT IS OR WAS A "B" Drive and backups here I come.

Other Thoughts: I rly got lucky from the looks of it another day wait and would have been forced to buy a very expensive one from ....

Pros: Great drive, no problems so far, was able to flash no problem. Punished it for about a week, not one coaster, even with cheap media.

Cons: seems kind of cheaply build.

Confirmed ihas rev B as of 12/19/2012. Will install and test today but everything looks good so far (physically).

Cons: I bought two of these for one of my desk tops.
Both of these units are defective in the tray will not eject under its own power. Ever....

Other Thoughts: I took one of the units apart thinking that maybe there was a burr on the transport. After much detective work it turns out that the permenent magnet at the that holds the disk when the tray is closed can not be over powered by the servo to open. If the circle on the top of the unint is removed the work fine. what i had to do is insert an adhesive label cut to the diameter X 2 to reduce the magnet effect and allow the transport survo to do its job..
