2 out of 5 eggsNot Worth Saving a a few Bucks

Pros: -Reads Blu-Ray
-Light Scribe
-6x BD read is okay

Cons: -After awhile, it would not recognize burnt DVDs-it thought the drive was empty. Try a few things here, nope it's the hardware!
-Burnt DVDs are having a 50/50 compatibility chance with players.

3 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your time

Pros: with the right screen, the display is amazing.
easy install, no software issues

Cons: After my 30 days were up, my rights to watch Blu-rays was over. Now I have to spend $100 to purchase the program required to continue watching. That was not described anywhere in the specifications.

Other Thoughts: Waste of money, should have just bought the full size Blu-ray & saved some hassle.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price

Pros: Drive was easy to install.
Mobo and windows recognized it immediatly.
Plays Blu-Ray for only $99.99 I think thats a steal compared to a $199.99 stad alone units.
I did not have trouble with the software that others complain about. Software udated automatically and only took about four minutes plus reboot.
Loads all media I put in without hassle at good speed.
Blu-Ray is amazing. The quality over dvd is obvious. Every movie pops with amazing clearity.

Cons: None so far. I have only had the drive for three days.

Other Thoughts: Blu-Ray runs great on my system

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Drive, Lousy Software

Pros: Great drive for the price, i.e., speed, etc. Plays great.

Cons: The software that came with it is lousy. Find a copy of Power DVD 9 as well Any Dvd if you ae running Win XP. Any DVD not needed if you are running Vista. Also, not drive specific, you will need to make sure that the specs for the Blu Ray match with your computer. If not it will not work. Seriously.

Other Thoughts: Great drive, just get the right software and have a relatively newer computer within the last 2 years and a decent video card

4 out of 5 eggsGood Drive, Crippled OEM Software

Pros: 6X/4X BD read speed loads BD movies very fast.
Quiet operation while playing movies.
Not much longer than a standard DVD drive.

Cons: The OEM copy of PowerDVD 7.3 that comes with this drive has one major problem which makes it un-usable. It is a 2-channel audio version. DVD's still have full surround but BD's will not.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded to PowerDVD 9 Ultra for $56 (got %5 discount for registering PDVD 7). I am happy with PowerDVD 9 Ultra but I wish a fully functional player would be shipped with these drives.

Cons: none ( please for 90 bucks can't complaint )

Other Thoughts: You need a fast PC ! I have Vista Ultimate 64 ( hasn't crash yet 6 months so far ) 4GB DDR3 Q6600 1000 watts PSU
