Corsair Vengeance 1300 Analog Gaming Headset features impressive 50mm audio drivers for audiophile-quality sound, intensive gaming and critical listening. You get more accurate sound reproduction (particularly for the all-important low-frequency effects). Large diameter, circumaural earcup design blocks distracting sounds and keeps your head in the game. Enjoy a comfortable fit from memory foam earpads that conform to the shape of your head without binding or pinching. A high-sensitivity noise cancelling mic provides for clear, chat audio. 3.5mm analog stereo inputs provide easy connection to sound cards or integrated audio solutions.

Corsair Vengeance1300 Analog Gaming Headset. Designed for performance.

  • newegg 50mm Drivers The massive 50mm drivers greatly reduce the overloading and distortion that can occur with gaming headsets that use 40mm drivers. You get more accurate sound reproduction (particularly for the all-important low-frequency effects). You hear more audio, more cleanly, and you get a competitive advantage.
  • newegg High-sensitivity Noise-cancelling Microphone Whether you're barking instructions to your teammates or chatting with old friends, you deserve to be heard. The unidirectional, noise-cancelling microphone is tuned to capture your voice loudly and clearly, while screening out distracting background noises. And, it flips out of sight when you’re not using it. In addition, the circumaural closed-back design also blocks distracting sounds and keeps your head in the game, and the extra-large inline volume and microphone control is easy to grab and use when the action heats up — you don't need to take your eyes off the screen.
  • newegg Analog Stereo Inputs and Mic Output The dual 3.5mm connectors work with the highest quality PC sound card. If you have a high-end sound card, the Vengeance 1300 will do it justice. If your audio card has CMSS-3D or a similar 3D audio system, you’ll hear the subtle midband positional cues that you need to enjoy accurate 3D audio and play your best. Gaming sound designers work hard to make audio sound great, and your high-end sound card and Vengeance 1300 are a great combination for making that happen.
  • newegg Superior Comfort The extra-wide, extra deep earcups don’t just help things sound great — they feel better, too. Customize your comfort with synthetic leather covers. Both use memory foam earpads for a comfortable, reliable fit that conforms to the shape of your head without binding or pinching.

3 out of 5 eggsBig let down as far as gaming sound

Pros: Very Comfy seem very well built Music sounds great

Cons: Games just don't sound good i spent hours messing with my sound card settings no matter what i did i could not games to sound good i must have tried 25 settings and none sounded good in bf3 bc2 or bf2

Other Thoughts: if you want this for music you have the right headset but if you want it for gaming as i did this is not the right headset .I'm so bummed now i have to pay to ship in back to newegg and then pay to ship a different headset back mean while i have no headset :(

3 out of 5 eggsCould be better

Pros: -Thick Leather Cussion
-Tight Fit
-Comfortable

Cons: -Mic is way to unsensitive (Literally have to hold the mic to your mouth for people to hear you if you don't use mic boost)
-Audio doesn't go loud at all
-Ear cups are way too big
-Barly any Bass at all

Other Thoughts: Certainly not worth the price. $40-50 atleast would be a more reasonable price range rather than the $80 plus taxes and shipping equalling to around $100. My $20 2.1 speakers and $30 earbuds can literally go around 5x louder, clearer sound, and more bass. I have an ASRock Extreme4 motherboard so my built in audio most likely is not the problem.

3 out of 5 eggsSound is an issue

Pros: Comfortable for a little while, braided cable is a plus, cord is extremely large, drivers cover your entire ear

Cons: Ears start to hurt after prolonged use, very bad quality when pairing this with onboard sound, get a sound card if you get this headset.

Other Thoughts: Just bought the Asus xonar dgx, major difference from onboard, but if you have extra cash a better sound card may do this headset a little more justice.

2 out of 5 eggsGood sound....

Pros: The audio quality of this product is very good, I loved the audio. The mic was pretty good as well. Headphones itself seemed stable and sturdy. I liked the braided cable.

Cons: The headset itself felt a bit tight on my head, and after prolonged use, would cause soreness around ears. (Might be partially due to my glasses, and large head.)

The main issued I've had is that the cord likes to wrap around itself. It gets knotted and can be difficult to unknot, indeed, I eventually gave up and let it get twisted.

Due to this though, I think it could be a cause of the incoming audio breaking up and/or going out. I'm not sure if it's a connection issue with the in-line controls.

Other Thoughts: I doubt I can get a return on this product, it's been probably over six months. I like Corsair products... but this was my first real issue with one of their products. I still wholly support Corsair in general. They provide top notch products. Generally.

3 out of 5 eggsMehh

Pros: Really comfortable, great for long hours.

Cons: Not really a con. But I didn't know you NEEDED a sound card for these things to work right. I tried them out, and, with the volume all the way up, i was still BARELY able to hear anything. When I plugged them into my Ipod full blast, it almost ripped my face right off my face!

Other Thoughts: Going to buy a sound card, and give it another try :D

5 out of 5 eggsGreat headset

Pros: Sturdy construction, mic is great and flexible, overall easy to use.

Cons: None at this time.

Other Thoughts: The reason why I went for the 1300 over the 1500 was because for some reason my computer still has issues with USB recording devices.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks nice.

Cons: Just... horrible, too tight on my head,
I know its a gaming headset, but that doesn't mean it should lack audio quality to the absolute max.
the plastic feels incredibly cheap, I just.. I want my money back lol.

3 out of 5 eggsGood while it worked...

Pros: Good sound, comfortable, decent microphone.

Cons: Not very loud, cord frayed at the inline controls causing the right side earphone to quit working. Last time I'm going to buy a 70 dollar headset.

5 out of 5 eggslikes

Pros: at first i bought the Corsair Vengeance 1500 without knowing too much about how USB headsets function.. well i was quite mad because the "built in" soundcard would cancel out my ASUS Xonar Essence STX.. my apologies if i gave it bad reviews it was my stupidity on my part, i bought this one because it has a real audio plug instead of that usb thing.. ended up giving the Corsair Vengeance 1500 to one of my friends

its construct is very sturdy and high quality, the cuffs very tight on ears it might cause discomfort to some people for a little while until u get used to it.. best of all it has a shielded cable.. u wouldnt believe how many headsets i've been through in the past just accidently running over the cable with my computer chair.. hopefully this will be the last headset i buy or the next one will be wireless

Cons: - Cuffs are tight on the ears.. have to get used to it
