2 out of 5 eggsGreat while they worked

Pros: Comfortable, good sound.

Cons: Failed within 10 months. Sound is highly distorted in one channel (e.g., I can hear music track fine but audio track is distorted/indecipherable). Expect better from earphones this expensive.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't mind at all buying a pair every 6 months if they were $10. Like other reviewers, I found them too flimsy and prone to wiring issues.

1 out of 5 eggsGood luck with the warranty

Pros: Extremely comfortable - I absolutely love how they fit. The only earbuds I've ever owned that I could wear all day without any irritation to my ears. Also, they did have good bass response.

Cons: Right out of the box, I thought the audio quality is middle of the road, if not a bit on the low end. Bass was good, but the mids and highs were muddy and scratchy. However, I bought them to listen to audiobooks and podcasts, so I wasn't too concerned.

I used them daily for about five weeks when the wire was starting to short out at the base, just above the 3.5mm plug. The audio would cut out with the slightest movement. Pinching it, or tugging to left and right could sometimes restore the sound, but it quickly got to the point where it was almost impossible to get any sound out of 'em.

I recognize that reliable earbuds are a myth, and that they ALL short out eventually. No matter how much you spend, they just seem to be a disposable product. However, five weeks in inexcusable. I expect to get a year or two at this price point, especially from such a reputable company.

So, I called Klipsh to activate the 2 year warranty. The guy at the call center gave me instructions to email promedia@klipsch.com and explain the issue and attach a copy of the purchase receipt.

I did that over a week ago, and haven't heard a peep from Klipsh. Just emailed them again, but I don't have a lot of hope that they're going to respond at this point.

Other Thoughts: Once I heard the short, I started shopping again. The Panasonic RP-HJE120-K have a similar design and audio quality at a HUGE discount compared to these. They're not nearly as comfortable, but if I'm going to be forced to buy headphones every 5 weeks, I'd rather pay $7 instead of $40.

5 out of 5 eggsA decent pair of headphones for the price

Pros: Nice look and feel to the overall earbuds, they seemed to have fixed the logo from fading off the earbuds, compared to the klipsh s4i. The bass is decent given the price point

Cons: Cable does feel slightly flimsy

Other Thoughts: Good value

2 out of 5 eggsI WANT to Love These

Pros: Extremely comfortable
Good quality sound
Nice carrying case

Cons: Easily tangled
Break too easily

Other Thoughts: These are so frustrating to own! The sound quality is very good, and these are by far the most comfortable earbuds I have ever had. Comes with several soft silicone tips that make fitting easy. I have very small ear canals and the smallest double flange tips fit perfectly. I wear these all night long because my bed partner snores quit a bit. I've owned 4 pairs in the last year and a half. I would have rated these 0 stars except for how darn comfortable they are.

The first pair lasted about 6 months, the second one my new kitten chewed through (so not the manufacturer's fault there) The third and now fourth ones each had one of the channels go out within 3 months of use.

Love them and hate them and now I am done buying them. I have purchased these from 3 different places.

2 out of 5 eggsThis is terrible for its price

Pros: Confortable fit and it comes with a nice case.

Cons: Terrible quality, my $15 creative lab earbud can produce a much cleaner sound than this one.

Other Thoughts: I thought it is about time to put some more money on a nice set of earphones and this one comes highly recommended by cnet. But it turned out this is a major dissappointment.

1 out of 5 eggsI would not even take these Free

Pros: Nice sound if you can hear it. Every movement you make is transferred to the cord. Unbareable ear phones.

Cons: You can hear all sounds from cord moving. Everything. Forget about exercising. Put it in your jacket and you can hear cord moving against jacket. I've had dozens of headphones and earphones over my life time. Complete rip off.

Other Thoughts: Someone please take these away. Basically I will never buy Kiplish ever again.

3 out of 5 eggsFragile

Pros: Sound Great (to my ears). These buds produce a nice well balanced sound.

Cons: Very Fragile. As noted in other reviews these will not hold up under any sort of mild abuse. I have replaced them twice in 18 months.

Other Thoughts: Buy them with the insurance and your set for 3 years for an additional $16. Still not what you would (should) expect at this price point! Panasonic can make ones that wear like iron for $19....

2 out of 5 eggsNot very good

Pros: Ok sound.
Came in Nice box

Cons: Sound not that much better compared to other earbuds in this price range.
Horrible wire design. Wires frayed after about 1 year. How convenient because warranty is over. The rubber part of the wire that connects to the buds split in two on both sides.

Earbud headphones are for using on the go. They are meant to be coiled around mps players, put in pocket, etc, etc. But these are so delicate that they must be treated with uttmost care - otherwise they fall apart like in my case. Sorry, I didnt get the message. I used them in the gym, put them in school bag, jacket pocet, etc, etc. Wires completely fell apart now.

The rubber earpieces become loose with time and fall off easily. I already lost two, and I NEVER lose my things. I am very careful with my stuff.

Other Thoughts: Very overhyped buds. They are really not as good as people say and overpriced for what they are, even during sales. I am out sixty bucks, after just under two years, and I really should have gotten more out of these for the price I paid.

5 out of 5 eggsPleased

Pros: Excellent playback reproduction. Very comfortable and lightweight. Two thirds off regular price. Great deal.

Cons: There are really no cons except that I wonder how these compare to noise canceling models.

Other Thoughts: I'm very satisfied with these earbuds.
