5 out of 5 eggsWas good while the middle mouse button lasted

Pros: Worked amazing. Buttons have a good click to them, and the it felt nice in my large paws. Microsoft refunded my purchase price because of the failure.

Cons: Middle mouse button failed after two years.

5 out of 5 eggs5 years old an still working great

Pros: the high dpi is great for multi-screen gaming with not a lot of room to move around, an the macro keys are great even for every day use

Cons: the Teflon pad on the mouse will ware a spot on your desk if no mouse pad is used (not a big deal if you ask me)

Other Thoughts: I have never had a problem with this mouse, people say WiFi an Bluetooth mess with it even now it's sitting only 2 ft from my route and phone an never a problem. If Microsoft still manufactured it when this one finally dies i would buy one

2 out of 5 eggsWireless issues

Pros: Different feet that you can replace, making it smoother or rougher. Well placed buttons.

Cons: Whenever there is a microwave or any WIFI signal, the mouse goes nuts. It is very sensitive, even with a router being across the room. Really not worth the hassle. This mouse makes me want to have a wired one again.

Other Thoughts: It was cool at first, but any strong wireless signal messes it up.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful

Pros: It looks nice

Cons: Buggy as hell, has major recharge issues (it will fail to recognize it's plugged in even when it is), laser malfunctions often causing jumping cursor, half the function buttons stopped working after 2 months. Awful awful mouse, I went back to my cheap $30 logitech mouse and never had a problem again so don't believe that just because something costs more it's better.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this

2 out of 5 eggsRip microsoft sidewinder x8 :(

Pros: Was good back in the days.....

Cons: anything wireless would make it act up, contacts on charger would only work a certain way. Really hate it dying during gaming, had a wired mouse on standby which was used often o_0

Other Thoughts: Nows its in the drawer along with my other useless electronics. Replaced it with a G500 and havent looked back.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but not perfect

Pros: 3 DPI settings on the fly - comes in handy in games.

I really like the look of the mouse it is aesthetically pleasing to my eyes and when seen by others may not be as tacky as the Razer Deathadder.

The mouse wheel feels nice and the tilts on the wheels are not to shabby.

Cons: The handling of the mouse isn't as great as my Razer Deathadder it sometimes bugs out and doesn't register movements (rarely does this, but is obviously quite annoying when it happens).

The charging is a little strange at times. Ocassionally it says its low on battery and charging seems to not work. However, this problem has not occured in a while.

Battery life isn't as high as I wanted for a wireless mouse (Satisfactory). Can keep charger plugged in. Not much of a bother.

Puck is big so don't buy if your expecting something a little more mobile.

Other Thoughts: Nonetheless the sidewinder is a great mouse that isn't absurdly expensive. For the price you get what you get and I do believe it is a pretty good offer. However, for purely gaming use I believe there are definitely better options out there.

1 out of 5 eggsThe WORST mouse I have ever used

Pros: 3 dpi settings

Cons: I don't really know where to start so please bear with me.

First of all the the feel is very awkward, and the 4 corners in the bottom aren't padded so the way it moves on the surface is very rough and it tore up my desk. The mouse sometimes randomly click on its own.

Thumb buttons on the side die out occasionally so i don't even bother using them.

Same with scroll wheel, sometimes the click works, sometimes doesn't. Recently, it just stops scrolling smoothly.

I've only had this mouse for 13 months and it started to have problems from the start. I wanted to write a review and get a better mouse but I figured i spent $80 on this, i might as well learn to love it but this is my last draw, it doesn't even scroll anymore, so now it's just a bunch of little pieces on the floor while I'm on my way to Best Buy to get a $20 traveling mouse that would be way better than this.

Other Thoughts: PLEASE, do not waste your money on this awful product.

I've used plenty of mouse from traveling to gaming and i really didn't think someone could make a product this bad. I thought it was me that bought a defected one but really from the awkward form to the poor base design, I'm convinced that this is just a terrible product.

2 out of 5 eggsSeemed OK at first

Pros: Tracked well and fit hand well

Cons: Acts wild and crazy for no reason. Suddenly will act like the drunk guy at the party, flies wildly or wont do anything. Have to pull the battery and may start working again for 2 min or 50....

Other Thoughts: Will not buy another MS mouse. This thing was stupid expensive and lasted 1 month past the warrenty.
