5 out of 5 eggsHad it for over 3 years, still works

Pros: -Cheap
-Side buttons are nice
-Comes with logtiech software to bind mouse keys to what ever you want and adjust DPI
-Came with a League of Legends skin code

Cons: - I don't find the sensitivity shifting buttons to be useful for anything and you cant rebind them.

Other Thoughts: Cheap and effective, its a good buy.

4 out of 5 eggsClassic Mouse

Pros: Great response time. Is connected via wire, so no need for batteries and a guaranteed better response than wireless mice. I consider this a pro, others may disagree.

Buttons that adjust speed on the spot, and forward/backward buttons for web-surfing.

Lastly, has lasted me at least four years and counting with zero issues.

Cons: The size is highly subjective. It has a base-ball shape to it, so imagine holding on to that while you use your pc. On some days I like the feeling, some days I get tired of it. If you have medium to big sized hands, it shouldnt be a problem. If you have small hands, you might not like it. I knocked off one egg for this reason.

Other Thoughts: If this mouse died today I would buy another one. The design is solid and has stood the test of time.

5 out of 5 eggsMy G400

Pros: Basically an MX518. It is a great mouse. Very comfortable, very reliable.

Cons: A little bit lighter than the MX518. Could be because the wire is thinner / cheaper.

Other Thoughts: If your MX518 is dying, and you're looking for a similar mouse, this will do just perfectly.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks Great Initially

Pros: Awesome Mouse. Fits into the hand great. The sensitivity settings on the top are great in case you want to make quick adjustments. Thumb buttons are nice.

Cons: While I initially thought it was pretty durable, this one only had a three year lifespan. It frequently has a problem where it will not work when the computer is first turned on, and disconnecting and reconnecting will just cause it to reconnect to the computer over and over for about 10 minutes.

Other Thoughts: Searching the internet, I found this is actually a fairly common problem with logitech and the G400. Tried many of the proposed solutions to no avail.

It was a great mouse until it broke, but I still think I should have gotten more out of it for $50. Overall somewhat disappointed, not sure if I would buy another one.

5 out of 5 eggsFreaking Amazing Mouse

Pros: I bought this mouse back in my broke student days for gaming, and even after some extra $ rolled in and I upgraded my machine, this is still my go-to. Picked up a Razer Deathadder and found my trusty old g400 to be more comfortable. The lack of a braided cable was one thing, but definitely not worth knocking it. I love the ability to be able to change my DPI setting on-the-fly with dedicated hardware buttons instead of having to fumble through some software provided by the manufacturer. This is my all-time favorite mouse.

Cons: no braided cable? if that's an important thing to you...

Other Thoughts: If this one broke, I'd buy it again, even at this inflated price point.

5 out of 5 eggsit's still serving me well!

Pros: bought this mouse on 03/18/2013 and its still serving me well with no problems, upgraded from mx518.

Cons: flimsy wiring, but never had and problems. just have to be very careful not to tug the wire from the body.

Other Thoughts: it has served its purpose, hoping to keep it longer but will have to upgrade soon to a better mice.

2 out of 5 eggsFails exactly at end of Warranty

Pros: Works like a mouse.

Cons: Breaks after 3 years, which is exactly the same amount of time the warranty lasts. I had the mx518 do the same thing to me.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor mechanical design of cable causes connectivity issues

Pros: Nice ergonomic feel, smooth movement. I never really use the speed adjustment buttons, but they are there.

Cons: The cable on this mouse is too thin. I had an older version of the mouse and its cable is about twice in diameter adding more mechanical strength to it. This mouse cable failed on me once already within a few months of ownership and returned it for a free replacement from Logitech. Now another 2 years later the cable is failing again. The wiring inside is wearing-out and the loose electrical connection causes the mouse button to "unclick" even while I am still pressing the button; it only happens when I move the mouse simultaneously. I don't feel like sending this in again for ANOTHER replacement (if they will even let me). I've never had this problem with any other mouse that I use in the same normal conditions, but this specific model failed twice. The older Logitech model with the thicker cable has outlasted 2 of these newer models by many years.

Other Thoughts: Before reducing the thickness of their cables (for cost savings?) in this new model, Logitech should have tested this device more thoroughly for mechanical wear and longevity.
