Pros: Got it on sale for $4.99. Caller ID is fast and works well.
Cons: There is a voice recording limit of about 55-60 seconds when using Windows 7 64-bit.
Other Thoughts: I bought this modem specifically for CallStation. I use my computer as an answering and fax machine. I also like to record important telephone conversations. This modem works fine for most of that except for recording telephone conversations or for use as an answering machine. It seems the maximum recording length is somewhere around 55-60 seconds.

Rating: 4/5RNX-56AG works OK
Pros: Does seem to work with Caller ID and the only reason I bought it and to speed dial out. But be aware that the driver selection is not straight forward. The driver that "turn on" Caller ID is rnx-56ag_xp_vista_win7_32_64_v1.2.rar (Version 1.2) and not a driver called version 2.0. The driver selection on the Rosewill web site is somewhat confusing.
Cons: Rosewill web site and driver selection could be better organized, but at least there is one.

Rating: 4/5a little fiddling
Pros: hey, a fax machine for a fiver
Cons: build of the bracket is not up to spec - I know because I've designed PCI cards.
Other Thoughts: PC didn't recognize it at first. Found that it wasn't seating well until I did a little reajustment of the bracket. PC now sees it - I've yet to acually send a fax, but don't expect any problems.

Pros: Confirmed working on Win7 - 64bit running IVM answering attendant. Must use the included drivers for voice functions not the PNP drivers from M$.
Cons: None

Rating: 1/5Does not support Caller Id
Pros: None
Cons: This particular RNX-56AG does not support Caller Id. Most RNX-56AG do. This is a huge waste of time and the money to return this wrong item. Be warned that you might get a version that does not support Caller Id before spending a lot of time trying to get it to work.
Other Thoughts: None!

Pros: CID/TAM & SW work on XP and 7
Cons: Discount disappeared and shipping isn't free anymore.
Other Thoughts: Got this for occasional faxing, but mostly to screen unwanted calls. Even though it's $9 (instead of the $5.25 I paid) I'll definitely buy more. This modem and Phone Tray Free (get it while you can - not free past 9/15 anymore) destroy unwanted phone calls (even the most pesky one's with different numbers, because you can screen them by name). Whoever is having complications with this I can't imagine why - installed smooth as silk, ran like a winnin' race horse straight out the gate.

Rating: 5/5Great for callerid!
Pros: Bought this exclusively to use with w7callerid - for $6 + the cost of that software you get a pretty cool setup for callerid on multiple computers, MCE or XBMC.
Cons: none

Rating: 5/5Works fine.
Pros: Been using this to fax for months now.. works fine.
Cons: Actually plays the fax dialing noise through the speakers while faxing. Not sure why anybody would actually want to hear this..? Obviously you can turn it down, but odd for a default option.
Other Thoughts: If this isn't working for you, it might be because you have to use Windows XP SP2 or lower, and it probably has more to do with the fax software that went incompatible from this point on.
