Pros: Sharp, clear 24.6" display. full 1920X1080. Thin bezel. 2ms response time. Price. Very pleased with monitor, UNTIL IT BROKE!*

Cons: No tilt down feature on the stand, can white out some of the picture if not viewed straight on.

*I bought this monitor around christmas, and now, in august, the monitor has already begun to deteriorate. The screen will randomly fade out, cutting the brightness seemingly to zero. This is such a fun thing when I'm playing a game or watching a movie. I have to manually hit the power button on the monitor, then turn the display back on, which takes 3-5 seconds, and is a real treat while watching a movie. This has pretty much made the monitor unusable. Hoping I can RMA it, but it's been close to a year, and i'm not very optimistic. Warning! Do Not Buy!

Pros: Great display, looks good, super clear picture, plays HD games fantastically, overall a beautiful thing to look at. Also, 2 HDMI ports, yay!

Cons: When I got this monitor on 8/26 i was super excited for it. I tore open the package, ran to Best Buy and bought an HDMI-HDMI cable, and speed home to start playing. While I was at the store the monitor was running for about an hour. So I plug the HDMI cable in and do a typical monitor check for scratches and such. Then I proceeded to do a pixel check and found a bright blue stuck pixel on the upper left hand corner of the screen. It would not be there if you left the monitor cool down for about an hour and then turn it back on. As soon as the monitor heated up, once again it reappeared. The next day I noticed another pixel, a white one in the middle of the screen. Has been a sad couple of days for me and so I contacted Newegg and they agreed to replace it at no cost to me. they even paid for the shipping. Thus I have to give this product 3 eggs due to how picky I am about visuals like this.

Other Thoughts: Newegg service was great.

Pros: -Screen picture, color, and resolution are all amazing on this. I upgraded from a 4 year old 19" Hanns-G JW199D (which is now my IRC monitor), and I couldn't believe the how better the colors looked.
-No dead or stuck pixels!
-Nothing to simple or too complex for settings. I'm glad you can change the input with one button on my JW199D you have to go into the OSD to do anything.

Cons: -Speakers disappointed me. Even at max volume they are not that loud and the quality isn't great. The speakers on my old monitor sound better and are much louder. Of course though none of that would matter if you have speakers.
-Buttons on the bottom is weird especially since you basically just have to feel for which button your pushing especially if it's dark and you can't see anything.

Other Thoughts: For the price this could not be beat at all. It's a wonderful monitor, and so far I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Now I just need a more powerful graphics card to play the newest games to their fullest on here.

Cons: My unit has a very high pitched squeal and I cannot get in touch with anyone from Hanns-G.

Other Thoughts: I purchased 4 of these monitors back in February of 2010. 1 of the units recently began emitting a PIERCING squeal from the back. I can get temporary relief if I power off the unit for a moment. However, as it gets warmer and warmer the squeal gets louder and louder. I would expect this from an older model, but not a unit that was purchased 6 months ago. I was hopeful that I could get some kind of resolution from Hanns-G, since there were some positive feedback on Hanns-G support on Newegg. Thus, I tried contacted Hanns-G via email and phone. My email gets no response, and when I get directed to customer service or support, the phone just continually rings. Very disapointed in the monitor and Hanns-G.

Pros: Just read the description, the pro's are obvious.

Cons: No cons yet (knock on wood). No dead pixels, box arrived in perfect shape, and so did the monitor.

Other Thoughts: I absolutely hate UPS from experiences in the past, this time was only slightly better. Newegg advertised free 3 day UPS shipping, however it was actually sent "UPS Ground" which is a 5 day shipping service. I only found this out by actually going to the UPS site to track the package instead of just Newegg's tracking service. So I ordered Wed. morning expecting it to arrive Friday or Sat. at the latest. Instead it arrived Monday :/ At least UPS actually left the package this time instead of shipping it back to Newegg like they've done before when I wasn't home.

Pros: Great picture.

Cons: speakers very thin and not very loud.

Other Thoughts: Get monitor for the price.

Pros: This is a beautiful monitor and I am so thrilled I got it on a 3 day deal for $169.00!!! The low response time is phenomenal and the picture is great.

Cons: The only con I have, since this is what I want not what you may want, is the lack of adjustable height. The tilt option doesn't do it for me.

Other Thoughts: thinking about a swing arm mount in the future for this since it gets it's feed from the HDMI on my netbook.

Cons: Display headed south and no response has come from Manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: On 11/24/09 I purchased the HH251 and my boss was very pleased when it arrived and we installed it on her desk. On June 2, 2010, I was informed by my supervisor that there was a dark area about four (4) inches across in the lower right hand corner of the display. I sent an email to the HannsG customer service at that time. A month later the darkened area had grown to 6 inches in diameter. Once again I tried to contact HannsG customer service and am still being ignored. We have a smaller HannsG monitor in our office which has given us excellant service and that was one of the swaying factors in the purchase of the HH251. I do NOT recommend this item to anyone else.

Pros: Giant Screen! I went from an old 17" crt to this behemoth!
Very light weight, and stable. Monitor is GREAT for mutli-taskers because of all the room on the desktop. Love the High Def!!

Cons: I may be doing something wrong, but if I turn off the monitor and then turn it back on it says no signal detected. So now I just shut down my computer and leave the monitor in stand by. the Auto detect function works great that way. The speakers are horrible, but I wasn't planning on using them anyhow.
If you plan on using the speakers, I'd recomend spending the $ you saved on this monitor on a good set of computer speakers, even a $10.00 pair has to sound better!

Other Thoughts: I'm also using this monitor for my xbox 360 it looks amazing!!
As mentioned above the speakers are no good at all so I just hooked up the headphone out on the monitor to my computer speakers, there is a little volume lost but the sound quality is much much better than the built in speakers! Only had it for 10 days, I'm hoping that it will last for 10 years. lol. If it craps out with in the first year or so I'll update the review.

Pros: The specs on the monitor are quite fascinating to be quite frank. I did enjoy the 1080p, HDMI imputs, and definitely the 2ms response time. The picture quality was great, when it actually worked, which brings me to the cons.

Cons: My first monitor lasted me 3 months before the monitor blacked out. This was apparently do to the power circuit board burning out. So i sent it back, had to pay the $35 shipping costs unfortunately, and they sent it back. Apparently they were going to repair MY monitor and send it back, but it definitely was not my original one. I marked the back label with blue pen which was no longer there, the one i received was scratched on the frame, and it also had a stuck pixel that would not come out.

I called them back again and had to send that monitor back the same week. (This time they paid for shipping)

I just got a NEW one this time(not a repaired one) 14 days ago. Surprise surprise, it blacked out again last night. I just got off the phone with Hannspree yet again, i must ship the monitor out once more. This time they claim to be giving me the upgraded version (HZ251) as a replacement to see how it fairs with my luck. Looks like i will find out in about 2 weeks.

Other Thoughts: If the monitor actually worked 100% of the time i would be completely satisfied with it. The fact that Hannspree Tech Support practically knows my name already is as big of a flaw as you can get. (Although i dont have to stay on the phone longer than 5-10min with them at this point before they want to send me a new monitor. Which can be a plus. lol)

I do not recommend THIS particular monitor to anyone, but as far as the HZ251 goes, the reviews look promising. Lets hope this is the last time i have to call for a new monitor.
