ViewSonic VX2450wm-LED Black 24" (23.6" Vis) LED Backlight LCD monitor

Pros: This monitor has a crisp and bright display that won't bring on eye fatigue after hours of use. The touch controls take some initial acclimation but are a welcome change from hard-to-press push buttons. We do quite a bit of engineering and design work in CAD, so the larger screen area is a plus.

Cons: The stand is wobbly and detracts from an otherwise-fine product. I deducted an Egg for this reason.

Other Thoughts: Don't expect much from the built-in speakers. About they are good for is making beeps and tweets. If you want to listen to music you should invest in a quality sound system to with your rig. I don't judge video monitors on their audio, as I don't normally use it.

Pros: Have had three of these monitors for months now and have worked out great so far. No problems what so ever. My build is constantly on, day in day out, and these displays are only turned off at night so I can sleep. They are nice and bright... much much brighter than my IBM displays that show my resource monitors. They respond quite well to gaming as well. Everything is crisp and sharp. Can't go wrong with these... and the price is not bad either. They are thin and light, so they don't weigh down my display arms at all.

Cons: No real cons at all... besides the built in speakers are nonsense but all monitors with built in speakers are nonsense. If you just need back ground noise like static or very low music... suite yourself. Also the base mount is just a little wobbly, but I use Ergotron display arms so this doesn't really comply with me. And, maybe... if you're into Eyefinity or nVidia surround... the monitor bezels can be a little thick. But that's all opinionated upon the user and buyer. All in all, these cons are not enough justice to pull any eggs off.

Other Thoughts: LED is the way to go when power saving is anywhere in the top three priorities. My setup is a mix between green power components and performance hardware like 10,000 RPM drives and SSD RAIDs and WD Green Drives and SLI setup with deticated PhysX and so on. It's hard to tell if there is any level of money saving in power consumption, but I know it is there and I know I would realize it if, per-say, using no LED or giant Dell 23-27 inch displays. To each their own...

Pros: Excellent visual quality, bright, colorful and detailed.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Newegg comes thru again. Ordered these with standard "free" shipping, they were home, out of the box and on my desk in two days! Great job Newegg!

Pros: I purchased three of these monitors for a triple monitor setup with my main desktop. The have a very small bezel and thin profile - working perfectly for a multi-monitor setup. I spent a few weeks researching the best monitors around the $200 price range and this fit the bill. This monitor is not 2ms response so if you are looking for that this are not for you; however, I have gamed many hours on these without any issues. Nice, sharp, clear image. No dead pixels on any of the three after a year of near constant use. These are also very sturdy. I have taken the monitors to numerous tournaments and friends homes and have never had an issue with any of them. (note I do transport them in the original packaging when moving.) I would highly recommend this monitor.

Cons: None so far. I got exactly what I was expecting hoping for.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a great sturdy product around $200 this is the monitor for you. Look no further.

Pros: Color, brightness, controls are all excellent. I have two of these setup on my development system (software) and I love them. I also have zero complaints when it comes to gaming.

Cons: Included stand is awful, however I think that most of the stands included with monitor are poorly made.

Other Thoughts: One star off for the mediocre stand.

*Cheap for a 24" LED monitor
*Built in speakers good for online tutorials, videochat, etc.
*Shiny lack finish looks nice

Cons: *Audio is very tinny and not very loud- okay for voice, but you don't want to listen to music on this thing.
*No HDMI in, only DVI.

Other Thoughts: I didn't buy this monitor from newegg. It was on sale at a local store for $160, so I picked it up there.

Pros: Great quality, color, brightness, response...

I'm an avid FPS gamer and this is the FIRST monitor that I'm almost 100% satisfied with when it comes to FPS gaming

Cons: None... maybe price i guess.

Pros: still bright and clear as 2 years ago.

Cons: none yet after 2 years.

Other Thoughts: To one of the reviews, sometime it's not the limit of the LCD, but the limit of the video card. Older video cards can only go so high.

Looking to buy 2 more for my 5 eyefinity setup if the price goes down lower.

Pros: This is a great monitor!. I have had it since December 2011 and i haven't got one complaint! The resolution is great and there are no dead pixels! It also works with Mac! Great price for such a good monitor! Overall great buy.

Other Thoughts: You have to buy a connector cable to get it to work with a mac

Pros: Love the bright whites of an LED monitor. Nice on-off button. Adjustment buttons on the bottom, instead of the side, make this monitor easy to use next to other monitors. Easy to remove monitor stand. Only 0.75" bezel on top and sides.

Comes with all the cables you might need, except for an HDMI adapter or HDMI cable.

Cons: Wobbly stand that has no height adjustment. I mounted on a triple head stand, so that does not bother me. The adjustment buttons are not real buttons and a bit finicky.

Not as bright as the previous model Viewsonic 24" monitor. That will be fine if the LEDs do not fade.

My biggest complaint is that the placement of the vesa mounting holes relative to the viewable part of the display is different than with other Viewsonic 24" monitors. Makes it very hard to align to other monitors on a monitor stand. That geometry should be standardized.

Other Thoughts: Except for the slight loss of brightness, and the funcky adjustment buttons, this is a nice upgrade from the previous model Viewsonic 24" LED monitor. Also slightly smaller external dimensions than the previous model.
